It gathered that the Igbo Chief was kidnapped at the junction of a quarry company in the town.

The spot where the kidnappers struck was close to the area where the late Oluifon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adeusi was killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen several months ago.

Olaniyi Eni Olotu, a community leader and Secretary to the Regent of Ifon confirmed the abduction via a telephone chat.

According to him, the kidnappers took the Igbo Chief through the bush path into the forest.

He said the gunmen shot into the oot into the air before abducting him, adding that the kidnappers took away the large amount of cash in the man’s vehicle.

“Immediately we got the alarm about his abduction, the Regent of Ifon swung into action and contacted the police as well as the Amotekun corps,” Olotu said.
