BREAKING: Appeal Court Gives Date To Rule On Prophet Sotitobire's Life Sentence In Kidnap Case Of One-Year-Old Boy

A Court of Appeal in Akure, the state capital of Ondo State has said it will pass its ruling on the case of Prophet Sotitobire's kidnapping case on December 3rd, 2021.

Prophet Babatunde Alfa, popularly known as Prophet Sotitobire, is the founder and director of the Sotitobire Miracle Church in Akure, Ondo State.

He prayed to the Court of Appeal to review his case following his life sentence judgment given by a lower court on June 6, 2020.[story_link align="left"]85817[/story_link]

Sotitobire's trial for kidnapping started in February 2020 and he and six others were found guilty of the charges levelled against them. 

The cleric and six members of his church were found to have been involved in the abduction of a one-year-old boy, Kolawole Gold in his church in November 2019.

The state prosecutor on the case, Adekola Olawoye had said the ruling on the case revealed the truth. [story_link align="left"]85635[/story_link]

But the counsel for the defendant, Akinyemi Omoware had said they would further appeal the judgment of the High Court.
