The Lagos State Government had in 2018 accused Nielsen of killing his music artist wife, Zainab and their three-year old daughter, Petra at 3:45am in Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi of Lagos State.
Following the accusation, he was arraigned on June 13, 2018 before the Lagos State High Court.
Nielsen pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of murder contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
But on Friday May 20, the court convicted him and sentenced him to death.
