Boko Haram: Northern Problem - Southern Blackmails
If you judge others, you have no time to love them - Mother Theresa
The recent security challenges occasioned by the Boko Haram insurgence and its attending bombing, killing, and destruction of lives and properties, has presented North, Islam and Nigeria in bad light. The senseless bombing, killing and destructions no doubt are condemnable and call for drastic action and goodwill from men and women of conscience and faith. The growing show of dexterity and disregards to people’s lives and properties by this nuisance and their sponsors both within and outside the country call for sober reflection and caution among Nigerians.
The glorious North is on fire; a fire unanticipated in the socio-economic and historical antecedent of the region; a fire that has penetrated the heart and soul of a once peaceful and innocent region; a region that is critical to the peaceful co-existence and survival of the Nigerian Federation. This blazing fire of bombing and destruction is destroying the vast landscape and economic potentials of a promising region.
The politics and paradoxes of Boko Haram represent a huge conspiracy and confusion against the north and the people of the northern region if the contemporary realities are anything to go by. However, it baffled the mind of most of us, when our Southern brothers and sisters will look into our bereaved minds and souls and insults us for not doing anything to solve and call the Boko Haram insurgence to order; as if it was the leaders or the people that created them or have absolute control over them. They thought the Boko Haram insurgence was the same with the militancy in the Niger Delta region and other regions in term of operation and political support. I think it will amount to blackmail and insult to the people and leaders of the northern region to accuse them and most of us of silence and lack of commitment to the crisis of Boko Haram insurgence. If my memory will not betray me, there is no leaders in the north both traditional, political and religious in one forum or the other that had not condemned the activities of the Boko Haram members.
Interestingly, few weeks ago, Alh Shettima Monguno former Minister of Petroleum Resources based in Borno went as far as offering to dialogue with the sect members on behalf of the Nigerian state, but, absolute silence was what he got from the new owners of Nigeria. It may interests our southern brothers and sisters to know, no matter the goodwill of northern leaders and followers, the whole onions stopped at the desk of President Goodluck Jonathan and members of his security team. The inaction and lack of clarity from the government often generate suspicious that the government is playing politics with the Boko Haram issues to either destabilized the northern region or create some alibi of sought. I believe there is virtually, nothing the northern leaders and people can do, than the often public condemnations, and appeals for calm and understanding among the inhabitants.
The problems with our social existence as people and as a nation, is that, we are dishonest to ourselves. Our brothers and sisters from the southern region, who had being feed and nurture from childhood to adulthood with northern hatred and lies by their leaders, media and arm chair critics and public affair analysts, continue to condemned and blackmails the rest of us especially with the recent killing and deceptive tendencies in the killing of southerners and burning of churches by often acclaimed Boko Haram militants as representing agenda to Islamized the country by Muslims. Ironically and interestingly, some have argued that, it is the turn of the north to experience the Niger-Delta style of instability and violate conflicts.
It is often reported that, Boko Haram claimed responsibilities to the spate of bombing and killing, including may be if the President catches cold, Boko Haram will claim responsibility. Who are they? They are radical Islamists with affiliation with the Osama Bin Ladin Al-Qaeda network as some will put; or no, it was created by failed politicians and disgruntles northern leaders and people to make it ungovernable for President Goodluck Jonathan to succeed with his transformational agenda; Or It is an attempt to Islamized Nigeria; or that the Igbos and southern are not only being killed but, their attempt to flee the north were being blocked; or is it the most treacherous allegation by the South South leaders who alleged that they have uncovered a plan to assassinate President Goodluck Jonathan by mostly northern political establishment etc. These are often the sensational, gullible and stupid media report filling in the last few months. This is not only a blackmail and disregards to the already traumatized people and region, who could not understand, appreciate and internalize the growing social confusion and conspiracy around them using the mantra called Boko Haram, but, the government seem to be using this sensational media reporting and blackmails to seek sympathy from mostly southern people especially the Christians community, against agonies of incompetence, corruption, and lack of direction and motion one years after inauguration of President Goodluck Jonathan administration.
Reading the various social media and online news medium is most disturbing and shows the general hatred, bias, blackmail, ignorance and disregard to the feeling and frustration of the people of the north as a result of the social evil called Boko Haram. In the last few years or months we witness and read a lot of social media and websites that were established specifically to misinform and misrepresent the facts and realities on ground in the northern region and the new culture of demonizing the Islamic religion. One of such misinform and conspiracy was the interview granted and moderated by one Rossquo with one obnoxious Sheikh Sani Haliru a repented Boko Haram leader who has now converted to Christianity in naijajive.com. The so called Sheikh Sani Haliru (never had of him), spoke vehemently against Islam, northern part of the country and implicated some northern leaders as the originator of conflicts and crisis in northern Nigeria. The said interview, was not only well plan with chorographic display of perfidy, but, received a lot of media attention and unusual reactions from our brothers and sisters from the Southern part of the country, without logical and rational analysis of the content and context of the said interview and its implication on the future of Nigeria.
However, in another development, a new and passionate news media NewsRescues.com seriously did a graphic analysis and debunk most of the insinuation in the said interview. According to the NewsRescues.com “classified reports reaching our news desk, indicate that certain websites are engaged in an intense cyber propaganda wars against Nigeria and its people”. The naijajive.com, (the website the carried the interview) according to IT experts upon investigations discovered it to be a brand new website, with no logo, no online reputation. A further check by the website discovered that, the type of post on naijajive.com found them all of an anti-Nigeria or anti-north or Islam agenda. Up investigation, said the website, we found that the domain, only created and registered on 21st November, 2011, registered by Schlumberger of 10 Edun Street Ladipo, Lagos Nigeria – Website administrative contact: Fayanjulola Gbeminiyi, Readers contact –leaningvillenigltd@gmail.com, Tel: 2348056297330”. I think this information are enough evidence for a serious government to take proactive step to rescues our nation and the north from this spiral of confusion and disharmony, but, the new owners of Nigeria are not interested in the new cyber war waged against the peaceful co-existence of the Nigerian state.
The question we may ask, what is the motive and benefits, is about Islam or northern political and economic interests. Unfortunately, what the Southern press and opinion makers have failed to told their unsuspected news consumers, is the fact that about 80% of the death and casualties of the Boko Haram insurgence are Muslims and northern. Secondly, in a retrospect, when former despot Chief Olusegun Obasanjo engineered a reform programme tagged “National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (NEEDS)’ that destroyed all the economic superstructures of the northern region and the closure of all the textile companies in Kakuri, Sabon and Sharada and Bompai Kaduna and Kano state nobody raise an eyebrow. It was estimated that millions of workers lost their jobs and livehood, which lead to wide spread of poverty and hopelessness in the region, no one said anything, except the few us, that raise alarm on the dangers ahead against the region and country at large. The same people that are accusing the North of not doing anything were the yesterday cheer leaders that praised the braved and sound economic reforms and judgment of the messiah all conquering warrior of our time against the almighty northern political and economic front.
Ironically, when Muslims were killed and mutilated in Jos plateau, the same press, media and arm chair critics and public affair analysts will keep mute about the whole fiasco, but, the moment few Christians were killed, the sensational heading become a source of propaganda against bloodthirsty northern and muslims.
After all the Jos crisis is a political war to polarize the unity and solidarity among Muslims and Christians engineered by the same evil genius and the conqueror of Northern political and economic machines Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for political gains. Ironically, its pays the political tacticians and conspirators, if the prevailing political realities are anything to go by. As Muslims I know that Islam and God did not permit the splitting of the blood of anybody without a just course, so, the killing from both sides must be condemned in all ramifications. But, justice and fairness should be our watch words and both scenario be given adequate news coverage; as no blood of anybody, tribe or religion, is more sacred or better than another. We are all God’s creators and the best among us, is (s)he who fears him and obeyed in Him the most.
I think it is important for us to pause and ask some fundamental questions; is the Boko Haram insurgence a northern problem or a national problem? Who are these guys and where are they located? Where did they get their brand of Islam, which ideological lineage or sources of Islamic jurisprudence? Why the killing of innocent civilians instead of political leaders that they accused of corruption and injustice? Is this new way of settling political scores among the political classes or what? Is the north facing balkanization like Somalia to weaken her political and socio-economic strongholds come 2015 or what? Is it about the resurgence of Islamic consciousness and values among Muslims that someone, somewhere is afraid of? Why is the government not interested in dialogue ever when notable leaders in the region have accepted to facilitate such? Why is the government failing to release the white paper on Ambassador Usman Galtimari committee report? Does this have to do with the United State intelligent community’s predictions of possible breakable by 2015? Or has to do with the proposed African Command (AFRICOM) that Late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua refused to sign with the United State of America? Does it have to do with the new wave of Trans-Sahara drugs trades in West Africa? Could this be as result of proliferations of small and medium weapons and piracy in the West African sub-region? Or grand conspiracy against the economic potentials of the Nigeria state by defence contractors, arms dealers and Nigerian security network? Questions searching for answers
It is important, for Nigerians to be rational and critical in their thinking and projections about the current shockwave of violence and Boko Haram insurgence. The prevailing insults and blackmails in various media channels will not take us anywhere than destruction. Someone, somewhere is remote controlling the whole situation and we are not only failing to understand and appreciate the dangers ahead of us due to our deep seated prejudice and hatred, but, we are building a generation of young and agile haters and irresponsible youth that will crippled this social co-existence. As I often say, in our contemporary Nigeria, nobody is a parasite on any region’s resources, but, we are all parasite on each other, so the call for Nigerian disintegration or the called to renegotiate our co-existence will ended up creating more tension and frictions among the new emerging nations, due to minority issues in the new region. I think what we need is to build the culture of truth and self respect among ourselves. Blackmails, name calling, insults and disregards to the feeling of bereaved people of the North and families of our southern brothers will not take us anywhere than further destruction. Building solidarity, compassion, compromise, tolerance and understanding among God’s inhabitants is sacrosanct to our overall future aspirations as people and as a nation. I think our southern brothers and sisters needs to understand the political and socio-economic set up in the region, and they have to be truthful to themselves and their conscience; monetary inducement and unnecessary hatred and blackmails will not take them anywhere than destruction; the northern people are good and passionate, people, but, often misunderstand.
The earlier we began to see the crisis of northern region as a nation crisis, the better for us. The crisis of Almajiri, unproductivity, youthful restiveness, unemployment, drug abuse, politically motivated conflicts and crisis and closure of industries and companies through deliberate government policies and other insensitive projected policies and conspiracies as a bad omen not only to the northern region but, also to the whole of the country the better for us and our future.
Boko Haram insurgence is never and will never represent the aspiration or agitations of the northern people or Muslims; we are men of faith and tradition, one thing I will assured all the conspirators both within and outside this country, that, the good people of faith we will defeat and shame them all and build a new seeds of peace, security, solidarity, unity, prosperity and restores the glory of the northern region and period. This is the century of Nigeria. We will emerge from this transition, stronger and united and Muslims and Christians will unite and fight their enemies and the enemies of the state and build a new Nigeria, where love, self respect and development will strives. This is may be utopian to some, but, to my mind, nothing is not possible, because, this is a period of uncertainty, and Nigeria is not an exception to that.
Finally, Nigeria must understand, we are not begging for mercy from anybody including the government, as our lives and existence is in the hands of OUR Creator. Victory and success belong to Him. If someone feels he has conquer the good and spirited people of the north and Muslims, then I want to tell him, he is only joking, because, in history nobody have defeated men of reasons and faith. We don’t believe in the direction the Boko Haram have taken and it will never represent the aspiration of the northern and Muslims people for self discovery and existence in the nucleus of the Nigeria state. I want to say, we believe we still have men and women of good conscience and integrity among our brothers and sisters in the southern region. I believe it is the combination of these men and women from both regions that will reinvent a new Nigeria. As for the mischief makers, we want you to know, that, as we are suffering I know vividly you are also suffering too; we will never rest till we defeat you all both within and outside the government and the country. As for the bandwagon followers, I want you to realized and understand, that, just like the NewsRescues have vividly, highlighted, we are in a war zone, that we neither understand, plan, and appreciate; this is a war that is often carried out via online and mobile platform, to ferment discord, stoke the fires of tribal, religion and other sentimental – ultimately resulting deadly violence and destabilization, according to the medium. I think this the time for us to wear the thinking cap (if we still have one), and analyze our predicament with the Wisdom of Solomon, bravery of Moses and the patience of Muhammed (May the peace and blessing of God be upon them all). Insults, blackmails, disrespect and hatred will not lead us to any way than further destruction. This is our century, and the good people of Nigeria will emerge victorious against evil and insensitive people, both in government, outside government and outside the country. Keep Organizing; stop agonizing, as Late Tajudeen Abdulraheem will say.

boko haram issue
To my knowledge and understanding, i think the issue nigerians face with this so called boko-harram people is bad governance... the government should be able to provide each and every citizen of its country adequate security, but rather because of their corruption the don't address the main issue on ground. In an ideal society, terrorist aren't meant to be negotiated with but because of injustice in the country this boko-harram vandals take advantage of it. Unless bad governance is properly addressed in the country we shouldn't expect this people to stop their evil doings..
RE:THANKS FOR THE QUOTE KENNETH
Ibrahim, sorry I was off the pc yesterday. That is why I could not respond to ur post in time. Actually Section 24 of the Constitution begins this way :"It SHALL BE THE DUTY of every Nigerian to--- (e) RENDER ASSISTANCE TO APPROPRIATE AND LAWFUL AGENCIES IN THE MAINTENANCE OF LAW AND ORDER".The word SHALL makes it mandatory and under our laws a citizen's arrest can be made to prevent a crime or apprehend a criminal. So, it is obligatory on those who know members of BH and their sponsors, even where they take safe heaven in far away countries, to report such evil minds to law enforcement if they are not in concert with them. Using 'Q.E. D.' as proof of your position reminds one of the abbreviation of Queensland. Even in Australia the common law principle is the same. Do not, therefore, think that you can run away from it. The fight against BH involves every Nigerian who is interested in the country. Your position does not surprise me because you recently referred to Nigeria as "HOME".
THANKS FOR THE QUOTE KENNETH
"NORTHERN ELDERS OR ANY UNELECTED GROUP OR INDIVIDUAL HAS NO CONSTITUTIONAL OBLIGATION TO CONDEMN ANY TERRORIST GROUP, ARREST ITS MEMBERS OR ENSURE THAT NIGERIANS ARE SECURE--".
:"(c) RESPECT THE DIGNITY OF OTHER CITIZENS AND THE RIGHTS AND LEGITIMATE INTERESTS OF OTHERS AND LIVE IN UNITY AND HARMONY AND IN THE SPIRIT OF COMMON BROTHERHOOD,(e) RENDER ASSISTANCE TO APPROPRIATE AND LAWFUL AGENCIES IN THE MAINTENANCE OF LAW AND ORDER--".
MY CLAIM STANDS. NO OBLIGATION TO CONDEMN, ARREST OR SECURE NIGERIANS, Q.E.D.
I think the writer of this
I think the writer of this script is an educated Boko Haram member. Listen, you can write as much nonsensical and meaningless volume as you have done, but can never win the trust of southerners or christians. In every notherner lies the inert tendency for violence.
Nigeria should divide
Who is this guy Bukhari Bello Jega? The article is too long and too full of duplicity. Besides, there are so many wrong tenses and spelling mistakes. SR has come a long way to be allowing every Tom, Dick and Harry article on her website. From the few paragraphs I went through, it shows that Nigerians both north and south do not have like minds. Our opinions are so different regarding events especially the Boko Haram one. Here is the deal, Big Joe divide Nigeria into two or three or more!!!
U think we are afraid to get
U think we are afraid to get splitted! Time will tell ....... When u find no fuel to drink
RE; OSITA DIOKA2 BY IBRAHIM SAAD
After reading the first two paragraphs of the article by whatever his name is it became clear that there can be no greater mumu (ur word). That is why I did not see ur response to Osita's post in time. U posted "NORTHERN ELDERS OR ANY UNELECTED GROUP OR INDIVIDUAL HAS NO CONSTITUTIONAL OBLIGATION TO-- ARREST ITS MEMBERS OR ENSURE THAT NIGERIANS ARE SECURE--". Ibrahim, I never thought that ur penchant to always defend the indefensible will drive u this far to the point of denying the responsibilities of the Nigerian citizenry. Section 24 of the Constitution holds:"(c) RESPECT THE DIGNITY OF OTHER CITIZENS AND THE RIGHTS AND LEGITIMATE INTERESTS OF OTHERS AND LIVE IN UNITY AND HARMONY AND IN THE SPIRIT OF COMMON BROTHERHOOD,(e) RENDER ASSISTANCE TO APPROPRIATE AND LAWFUL AGENCIES IN THE MAINTENANCE OF LAW AND ORDER--".The foregoing makes it criminal not only to harbour but not to report those associated with any activity harmful to another citizen.

The end is near cont!!!
Yet a moron like Bukhari picks his pen and calls me brother and sister to lure me back into his lair so he too can kill me? There are no fools anymore. The north should check its religion, culture, tradition etc and repent for the great evil they have brought upon themselves since they started sheddingthe blood of people at the drop of a hat.Otherwise the worse is yet to visit them.
For the Bukharis of this world who rather than look inward are busy shifting the blame of their region's heinous crimes to the victims of those crimes, blaming OBJ instead of the Abachas and Babangidas who have more money than they can spend in a million life times by virtue of shooting their way into the presidency or the Atikus who from being only a customs officer had more money to spend in a year than some neighbouring African countries, nobody is fooled by your call for unity. Unity at your own terms alone. The rest of us must fall into line. You have to be delisional!!!
The end is near contd!!
While it is true that there are a few good hearted people in the north who genuinely love the country and fellow Nigerians like Kwankwaso showed, the greater majority have no love and interest in Nigeria beyond that oil money keeps them going. Bukhari's attempt at stangding logic on its head makes that all the more obvious. A man draws a cartoon in far away europe and southern Nigerians and christian northerners get killed. America launches a war against its enemy in far away Afganistan, southerners and christians get killed enmasse in northern Nigeria...the north is hungry and is impoverished by its leaders, southerners and christians get killed. There is a partial eclipse and again southerners and christians get killed. The list is endless.
The end is in sight!!!
The recent spate of articles and comments from northerners who had before now held their peace while boko haram ran riot has not deceived anybody. These calls and articles are at best aimed at ensuring that oil money still flows. there is no love for the southerner or non muslim in the north. I served in Kano 1999/2000. I have lived in the north for the better part of since then. I have witnessed religious motivated mass murders for which nobody was held accountable. God bless Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who stood his ground during the time I was in Kano, getting armoured vehicles to escort the mass murderers to and from the "prayer" grounds on fridays in order to avert riots that usually started from there. He was voted out because he was perceived as being supportive of strangers by prtecting them and replaced by boko haram mallam Shekarau on the crest of islamization. Kwankwaso is back, because mallam was a huge failure!!! Investing on sharia to the detriment of development.
Tissue of unbearable falsehood!!!
The desperation in the north is becoming more obvious by the day. The boko haram thing has not gone the way they had planned. GEJ has not been forced out, there has been no military coup to remove him. The south even the middle belt has realized the folly of pandering to the whims of the northern establishment and rather than call for GEJ's head, wisdom has prevailed and the people have opted to split the country instead. these are unintended consequenses. The fear in the north now is that they will no longer be able to manipulate the middle belt, the south-south, the south west and south east in order to gain political power, they will also lose the goose laying the golden egg.
Breeze don blow, fowl nyansh don open. That is the summary of Bukhari's article. Rather than call on their sons to end the violence the pre-occupation has been to ensure the country does not divide, no matter what. Why? Oil money!!! Nobody is a fool, even America will die to own Nigeria's oil!!!
Boko Haram- northern problem
Dear Bello Jega
I think this is the best piece I have read coming from a northerner and a Muslim. With guys like you there's hope for Nigeria. How I wish you can cause your article to be carried in daily trust, new Nigeria and other northern based media so that majority of your brothers in the north would understand that without peace the north is doomed.
Do you know that while imo state governor is offering scholarsihip, Gombe state governor is distributing jeeps to his assembly men. While Amechi of Rivers is constructing roads and other physical infrastructure his northern counterparts are funding security outfits to curtail mayhem. Check out Lagos, Edo, cross river, akwaibom and compare to jalingo, Maiduguri , kaduna etc. While the southerners are enforcing compulsory education the north is promoting Almajiri system in this age!
This is the time to confront the injustice perpetuated by northerners against northerners
OSITA DIOKA
SO WHEN A NORTHERNER IS PRESIDENT THE NORTH HAS A DISTINCT ADVANTAGE, BUT WHEN A SOUTHERNER IS PRESIDENT THE SOUTH HAS NO ADVANTAGE? IS THAT WHAT YOU MEAN?
I DONT BLAME YOU OSITA. YOU FROM THE SOUTH ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES TRAUMATIZED BY NORTHERN RULE, FOR EVEN WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN OUT OF POWER FOR 13 YEARS THEY STILL EVOKE TERROR IN YOU.
i will smoke u
I don't have much to say Tafida but I will like you to know dat I am looking for u and your bokoharam he goats and I promise to smoke you imbecilles out of our country Nigeria.Fuck u and your rotten descendant of Ishmael cald prophet muhammed
@Bukhari Muhammed Bello Jega, So the south is to be blamed?
“North, a region that is critical to the peaceful co-existence and survival of the Nigerian Federation.”

Liar, It is the Niger Delta oil that is the reason for one Nigeria today. Facts are generally facts and do not contain bias until people like you with their tribal partisan tin-foil hat starts to interprets facts through the prism of politics.
Also, your firm believe that the south hates the north, that thought process, in and of itself is also a lie. It is the other way round mallam. Facts are that the north had murdered more southern people than the south murdered the northern people. So, you can see who the real haters are.
u are not Honest
The first writer was only trying to show that he can write good english. Been sentimental about this useless BH issue is not the solution. Northern youths have refused to go to school, there by making themselves tools in the hands of devilish northern political elements.
One prominent northern politician that wanted to be a civilian president by all means warned that if care is not taken,Nigeria will turn to Somalia. That is what we are experiencing today.
Well meaning Northern youths should ask their political elders questions.
Thank You.
U ARE A STUPID FOOL
If nt dat u are stupid dundee fool hw can u mak suc a statement ova such a btfl, balance & unbaise article by an interlectual mind, come let me ask u this, u go school at all or did ur mama & papa cheat on u 4 not sendn u 2 schl?Dnt post rubbish 2 the wld 2 know further foolishness in u.MUMU, EWU,PIG WIT FISH BRAIN.
@Tafida, I guess to you
@Tafida, I guess to you America is not heaven, and Britain is not paradise, but rather heaven is Afghanistan, and paradise is Somalia or perhaps Pakistan. The people you refer to as jungle people were living and governing themselves and were no less human that your murderous paedophilic ancestor emirs. Bob Marley sang "Everyone got the right to decide his own destiny", those jungle people decided to learn western education, what problem do you have with that? Your ancestors and people decided not to learn western education and still consider western education a sin, why do they want to impose that on the rest of us? Has anyone said your people must go to western schools? Why do you and the idiots want your stone age beliefs imposed on others? You should be ashamed of yourself. And no one is afraid of you whether they reveal their name or not, afterall who knows that Tafida is truly your name?
ISLAM IS THE PROBLEM
Prophet Mohammed instructed muslims to kill and plunder christians in 109 verses in the koran. These verses include
1. koran 9:29- Fight those who do not profess the true faith islam till thay pay the jiziya poll tax with the hand of humility.
2. Koran 8:12- I will instill terror into the hearts of unbelievers, smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips.
3. Koran 47:4- when you meet the unbelievers in the jihad, strike off their heads and when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly.
Other verses include koran 9:5, 9:73, 4:144, 5:33-34, 5:51, 5:57, 5:64, 9:30, 98:1-8, 22:19-22, 8:39, 9:14.
Ishaq 325, 324, 300, 587, 326
Bukhari 52:177, 52:256, 52:220
Hadith 9:50, 9:57 etc. Pls look for the english translation of the koran and check up all these verses. Mohammed had marked out christians for extinction with his so-called religion of peace. The Holy Bible spoke about islam in Gen. 21:18 and Gen. 25:12-18. Pls read.
Northern Problems...INDEED
I must say that I did enjoyed the write-up. My main issue with the article is that you end up doing the same thing that you set out doing by blaming the SOUTHERN people and their web-site, press and the intellectuals. It is most regretable.

God will judge everybody
I found it very difficult to believe that a human beign will still get up and defend fools, BOKO HARAM WAS CREATED BY NORHTERN LEADERS WHO BELEIVE AND THINK THAT ASO ROCK IS THEIR BIRTH RIGHT. Some of them even publicly promised to make Nigeria ungovernable for GEJ. We all know the truth and the truth shall set us free. Northerners started seeing BOKO HARAM as bad omen only when multiple bomb exploded in Kano simply because many muslims died, the XMAS day bombing to them is the will of their ALLAh will Kano bombimg was condemned even CBN donated N100 million to Kano victims while those who died in Catholic Church in Madalla are all rats. GOD WILL JUDGE YOU. We are watching and waiting.
@IBRAHIM Saad.,U'r a FOOLISH GOAT 4 calling our president "mumu"
@Bukhari Muhammed..,you wrote a STUPID article. You want federal govt to dialogue with IDIOTS called boko haram? On what basis because we dont understand their demands? If what we hear in the media is true, should we then renounce christianity & embrace islam for the BOMBINGS to stop? You know that's IMPOSSIBLE.
Moreover what stops the governors of the affected states from DIALOGUING with the IDIOTS? These governors receive at least N3billion FREE Niger Delta oil money every month. Why cant Borno state govt for instance DIALOGUE with boko haram members in the state, then tell the whole of Nigeria that boko haram has CEASED FIRE at least in Borno State? If boko haram CEASE FIRE, i'm sure our security forces will stop arresting or harassing them too. Or are the state governors NOT BIG enough to DIALOGUE with boko haram? I cant remember boko haram announcing a CEASE FIRE since this crisis started. Is there no CEASE FIRE in their dictionary?
Nigeria cannot bow to agents of the DEVIL!
The Respective State Governors Should Dialogue with Boko Haram!

@ IBRAHIM SAAD:POINT OF CORRECTION
Having a southerner as President does not translate to power shift per say,nor does it translate to a definite political advantage. The real advantage lies in the laws, constitution and configuration of the federal system, the southern portion of Nigeria and minorities only seek a level playing field,no sane person is agitating for "advantage",if that advantage really existed at the moment like you wrongly assert, nobody will be rooting for a SNC.
Yes because of the senseless "winner takes all" federal system we operate in Nigeria and the control of resources by the central government, the region whose ward occupies Aso-rock is assumed to be in power hence I used "power shift in my comment" but just check all the top positions surrounding Jonathan and you will agree that he is just held hostage and the north is solidly represented. Most Nigerians demand a review of our constitution,as simple as that,it must reflect fairness, justice and human rights.
SHIFTING BLAMES WILL NOT HELP
SHIFTING BLAMES WILL NOT HELP IN THIS MATTER. LEADERS IN THE NORTH HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO TO PUT THEIR HOUSE IN ORDER.EDUCATION IS WHAT THE NORTH NEEDS AND UNFORTUNATELY BOKO HARAM SAYS EDUCATION IS SIN.SO WHAT DO WE DO? THE GAP BETWEEN EDUCATION AND ECONOMIC GROWTH IS A CLOSED ONE.
The North has been a slaughter zone for decades
"... a fire unanticipated in the socio-economic and historical antecedent of the region ..."
@Bukhari Muhammed Bello Jega, you seem to be living in a different world. Are you not aware that Christians are being slaughtered in the Sharia North perennially for decades or are you just pretending. If you don't know what to write you better shut up instead of adding salt to injury.
If there are honest people in the North, what they should be doing is begging for forgiveness from victims and their families, ensuring that BH and their sponsors (however highly placed) are brought to book and kicking against the culture of corruption, insensitivity and "Ranka dede" mentality.

".The northern political and religious leaders blantantly refused to publicly condemn the boko-haram until recently,up till now some political stalwarts of the north have NOT condemned the boko-haram publicly.THIS IS WHY THE ACTIONS OF THE NORTHERN POLITICAL ESTABLISHMENT IS "SUSPECT",SOME OPENLY PROMISED TO MAKE THE COUNTRY UNGOVERNABLE FOR PRESIDENT JONATHAN."
NORTHERN ELDERS OR ANY UNELECTED GROUP OR INDIVIDUAL HAS NO CONSTITUTIONAL OBLIGATION TO CONDEMN ANY TERRORIST GROUP, ARREST IT MEMBERS OR ENSURE THAT NIGERIANS ARE SECURE. IF NORTHERN ELDERS ARE SUSPECTS THE GOVT OF THE DAY MUST ARREST THEM. IF THEY MAKE INCITING PRONOUNCEMENT, A REAL, RESPONSIBLE GOVT WILL ARREST AND PROSECUTE THEM TO THE EXTENT OF THEIR INVOLVEMENT NOT COMPLAIN. THE GOVT DOES NOT NEED THEIR CONDEMNATION OR THEIR HELP IN DOING ITS DUTY OF PROSECUTING CRIMINALS AND PROTECTING NIGERIANS. ALL THESE "WOMAN TALK" OF SPREADING BLAME IS BECAUSE WE HAVE A MUMU FOR PRESIDENT.

"When policies of a nation are designed to subjugate one section and impose the will of one section on the rest, what you get is subdued bitterness and malice."
THE SOUTH HAS THE ADVANTAGE NOW LET IT DE-SUBJUGATE ITS PEOPLE. EVEN IN REGIONAL OR RELIGIOUS DIVIDE THE NORTH IS A MINORITY, SO THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR ANY PART TO SAY THE NORTH HAS CHEATED IT.
