Jonathan And His Misconducting First Lady

This comment is not about Mrs. Jonathan but about Nigerian First Ladies.

It is about time we rid ourselves of the first ladies syndrome. Our problems will be greatly reduced if we allow politicians to run the government instead of wives turning themselves into iron ladies. Please we don't need them. We have enough women as ministers that can do better. Husband and wives shouldn't dictate to us.

I however think Madam Jonathan should go to finishing school. Her English and grammar is very poor she must do something also about her look.

My vote is for Jonathan but the wife- ?No

Mrs Patience Johnathan is causing her husband a collateral damage by wanting to engage Amechi in a war of words but thank God that Amaechi was in Good mood and respectful to Mr President by not responding to her foolish outburst.This shows Amaechi as a gentle man and he did show respect for constituted authority.I believe that if our President is a gentleman too,he should have called Amaechi to apologize for the behavior of his wife.
The writer's analysis is very insightful and correct.Sekibo cannot be in Abuja and a woman is fighting for him.He should be a coward.He should go back to port-harcourt and throw a challenge if he want to be Governor.Not a woman fighting on his behalf.

My dear i rather think you are getting it all wrong yourself. Abuja, the seat of power in Nigeria today was ancestral home to a group of persons. their home was taken away from them and up till now are not yest fully compensated. Does that worry Mr. Jonathan? Govt in every part of this country have been acquiring lands (of course in Nigeria the land belongs to government)for projects that will benefit all and sundry, why are people not standing up to insult such govt personalities?

If Mr. Jonathan cares so much about her people, how many bills has she sponsor to reclaim lands in Rivers State? If she loves Okrika so much what good has she brought them? Of course i guess her children are not even in Nigeria so she can afford to fight over land so that can build mansion for her immediate family than develop a school that the have-nots can gain from.

Yes Amechi was using the word was, what stopped Mr. Jonathan from talking to Amechi in private or even if in public with wisdom? she is a no body to Nigeria but Ameachi has sworn the constitution of this nation to as CSO of Rivers State.

We should all desist from sentiments and give issues objective judgements and not pretend at the face of rubbish. Mrs Jonathan insulted the seat of govt of Rivers state and not Amechi.

I'm not from Rivers State, but I must say that the writer is biased and shows a lot of contempt for Mrs Jonathan. I perceive that Senior Fyneface has been bribed to put up this trash, as an article. In the context of what ensued between Mrs Jonathan and Amaechi, Gov Amaechi reminds me of Fani-Kayode when he lost his senses and was insulting Wole Soyinka. I like Amaechi fairly as a Governer but he's treading on a minefield. I pray it doesn't explode on him. Before wiping out the history of a community (people's ancestral heritage), go into dialogue with the people. You won't be governor for ever. It's not likely that your son/s will be governor either. Be wise, be humane

This is just a way to undermine Jonathan. I can see since they can't get our humble president, they are now using his wife to blackmail him.

But I assure you that this plan will never work and we will all support Jonathn/Sambo.

No mather how good a man's luck is,once paired with the wrong woman,the man is doomed for failure.People like Adam,Ahab,Ananias,Samson and many others can easily testify to that.Please remember that John the baptist lost his head becouse of a patience-like woman.
Jonathans case is even worse becouse his wife is half-illitrate.What kind of advice or encouragement can such a woman provide?Jonathan may have to decide between Patience and presidence becouse having both of them will simply spell doom for Nigeria.The two can never work together.

Please lets take our attention away from the President wife, the husband will address that in the light of public image. President Jonathan is a good man with good intention for Nigerians. I live there and many people will think you are too clean to be writing this kind of advertisement for Amaechi. He thinks he is god but his days as governor are numbered. He is killing opposition in the state and destroying people's property at this difficult time in Nigeria. The whole state has been turned into a construction site without adequate planning and majority of them have been abandoned. Now he has fully enriched his contractor friends and the once rich state is now poor, going cap in hand borrowing money to fund Amaechi stealing and travelling spree. May God save Rivers people from the hands of this dictator. Dame Jonathan is fully right as a Nigerian from Okrika to talk down on him. Amaechi thinks that he has monopoly of bad mouthing others. In Nigeria we don't follow the constitution and that is the more reason why we are entangled in one crisis or the other.Look at it wholistically what is a politicians salary that they can buy 4 exotic cars in a month.It is high time we speak out and take some drastic decisions when it comes to those in power.They are in custody of our tax and they should be held accountable.Amaechi should engage the people before taking some drastic decisions.In the UN convention, we have what we call free, prior and informed consent.We must adopt this when taking decision that will affect the people.UNICEF,UNDP etc are organs of the UN and if we have anything to do with them, we must abide by the conventions that establish them.Discuss with the people--people appreciate what they help create.
