Ribadu And Adeola: Before God And Man

Friends, last year I made a decision driven by my conviction that in years to come, I will stand head-up before my children and grandchildren to defend the decision I made to support and vote Nuhu Ribadu and Fola Adeloa as the President and Vice President I believe Nigeria urgently needs.

Fellow young Nigerians, you may have made your choice candidate, but my question is can you defend your choice before your children, grandchildren and your God when they demand an answer for your choice? This election is neither about me nor you, it's not about individuals and their parties, or regions and zones, it's not about the present day Nigerians. No! It's about the future of our dear country.

Like of all of you here, I am a young and passionate Nigerian, in my little way I am contributing to the future of our futures. I have decided not to be the selfish young man whose interest is only for the gains of today. Our nation is in dire no-business-as-usual need for change and the time is now for a new Nigeria to emerge because it is possible.

Nuhu Ribadu and Fola Adeola are not God-sent or ancestors-sent. They are young Nigerians like you and I, they love our country and they are passionate about our wellness.

Nigeria is faced with great economic depression as we currently loom in waters of uncertainties. This is not the time for usual politicking neither would luck suffice; the time for seriousness is here. Our love for our country must transcend our love for tribe. If Nigeria is not working, our tribe will not run our economy for us.

This is time for real work and I see Nuhu Ribadu and Fola Adeola as a shift from the normalcy that we have known, I see in Ribadu and Adeola courageous young men who are ready to work for Nigeria.

In Nigeria we have a monster that has lived with us for as long as I can remember, that monster is what Ribadu fought with all seriousness. Some people may say he was used for selective attacks, but no one can accuse him of going after innocent Nigerians. If it will take selectiveness to get our looters to account for their crimes, I support it with the beliefs that one day; every one of them will be brought to justice.

Our economy presently is in shambles; failure to take action today would mean that in no-distant years to come, our nation will be like those we mock today. Our economy have for long been in the hands of those who know nothing about financial management. This is where Fola Adeola a young man who built GT-bank from nothing to a world class financial institution comes in. We need such an energetic young man backed with an anti corruption czar to redirect our national economy.

My appeal today is, as a Nigerian you should reflect back to the years before and think about why things have remained the same, I am pretty sure three possible scenarios could be inferred.

1. Failure of leadership to take action in the right direction.

2. Failure of followers to take action that will make the leaders accountable.

3. Sentimental thinking against National thinking.

My friends, for how long are we going to allow these constraints to impede our growth? Nigeria, years after years remained listed among the nations described as 'failed states’, we are constantly and consistently listed as one of the most corrupt nation in the world, we pass through international borders with constant fear of being Stereotyped, our children suffer from years of educational decay, our people die from preventable deaths caused by neglect and failure of successive governments, our government over the years continues to budget huge funds for projects that we only see and hear of in the papers... how long I ask, are we going to pretend that all is well ?

For how long are we going to be glued to bad leadership and expect a different outcome? At the international borders you are not from the north or south, they see you as a Nigerian, not as Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo. The perception of the world about us knows no tribe, we are Nigerians and Nigerians get the blame and the kicks.

When we call for change, let us mean Total Change. Let us start now to retrieve our years of greatness stolen away by the locust, let us stop the sentimental thinking and wear a renewed national cap. In America, the man from California calls himself An American. In England the man from Liverpool and Nottingham sees himself as an English man. Why must we be different?

Nuhu Ribadu and Fola Adeola are not claiming to have any messianic direction from the heavens, claiming such would be blasphemous. They are ordinary Nigerians who suffer from what we all are suffering from.

My presidential choice may not be your choice, however when you look at Nigeria today, do you think for the children unborn? Would your grandchildren be pleased with your presidential choice?

Before you cast that vote, return to your village to see the true situation of things, and then ask yourself how long more will this go on for? Before you cast your vote, compare a picture from Dubai and the one from your village, are you happy with the difference (if any) but above before you cast your vote, prepare an answer for your grandchildren and your God.

Ribadu and Adeola in my beliefs are a break from the past, a clean break from the ugly history of our mis-governance; they represent the paradigm shift we seek.

I know when I come before my God and before men; I will be standing with my face up defending my choice, because I know that my choice is borne from my believe in a better Nigeria because I know it is possible.

Thank you and God Bless.

Did the writer watch the joke

Did the writer watch the joke they called Presidential debate?
So all of sudden Tinubu has become a saint. Same man Ribadu was haunting many years ago.
He is probably Nigerian Jesus Christ that has power to forgive sins. Do these guys think that we Nigerians are suffering from acute dementia or Alzeimers?

Ribadu, a bad Joke!

ACN's presidential bid has been compromised before it even started. Reason: it is one that is lacking in morals, principle and intergrity. It clearly shows how opportunistic Mr Ribadu is. In Jigawa the other day, he stood on the same podium with Saminu Turaki, a man he serially accused of looting billions of tax payers money without as much as a word of explanation as to this obvious contradiction. There is the Tinubu angle as well. Something tells me Tinubu and co are secretly laughing over the whole saga. The question is, how can we possibly trust such a brazen chameleon of a man with any high office again? Obviously most political parties in Nigeria are nothing but pseudo PDP trying to supplant PDP so as to do even "better". Why must we be told to exchange the original PDP for a "belgium" one? Methinks our best bet is to encourage and empower young turks within the ruling party to seize control of the PDP and turn it around into an organisation that works for us, Nigerians. Whether we like it or not, or want to admit it or deny it, PDP is a mirror image of our nation and the perfect platform to revolutionise our destiny. The alternative is, goodbye Nigeria. A word is enough for the wise

is this what nigerians want from ACN?

No doubt, the protracted strike by medical doctors in the employ of Lagos State Government has compounded the debilitated health care delivery in the nation’s commercial capital. And to worsen the situation, their colleagues in all Federal Governed-owned health institutions in the state, last week, commenced a week’s solidarity warning strike in sympathy with the doctors.

During the solidarity strike, no new patients were admitted at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, National Orthopaedic Hospital (NOH), Igbobi, Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Yaba, and Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta.
The crux of the matter is the Lagos State Government’s refusal to implement, 100 percent, the new Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS), and the demand to recall the former chairman of the Medical Guild, Dr. Ibrahim Olaifa, allegedly sacked for his role in union activism. To contain the striking doctors, the administration of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola initially offered to pay the doctors 75 percent of the CONMESS, which the latter rejected outright.

Under the newly adjusted CONMESS by the state government, a senior consultant will take home not less than N700,000 a month, while a fresh medical doctor receives about N207,000 per month. In arriving at the adjusted CONMESS, government explained that available financial resources cannot carry the burden of effecting a 100 percent implementation of the CONMESS. Moreover, such money was not captured in the state’s 2011 budget. Another grouse is that the state government was not part of the team that negotiated the new CONMESSS in Abuja.

While doctors in the employ of the Federal Government enjoy full implementation of the new salary structure, such is being denied their counterparts in state-owned medical facilities. The discrimination has occasioned series of strikes in some states of the federation. And, if nothing is urgently done to stem the wave of industrial agitation by state doctors for the new pay, there is every likelihood that the nation will soon witness a general doctors’ strike that will negatively impact on the already rickety health care delivery system.

While Lagos has read politics in the trade impasse, the doctors see it differently. To them, the government is just insincere and not willing to pay the new salary. The doctors insist that the state has the financial muscle to pay the new CONMESS. Not even the advice of sack by the former governor of the state, Bola Tinubu, to Fashola, could make them budge. As the two elephants engage in this industrial combat, the patients suffer. And, the death toll is on the increase with each passing day.

We advise the state government and the doctors to find a common ground and iron out their differences with a view to ending the avoidable strike. It is a fact that medical doctors and indeed all health workers in Nigeria are not well remunerated when compared with their counterparts in other lands. While the doctors have the right to agitate for better conditions of service, they should also remember their professional calling and the oath taken to save lives before any other consideration. The current strike negates the Hippocratic Oath.

Doctors’ strikes will always lead to loss of lives. And, whenever such strikes are called off, the dead cannot be brought to life again. There lies the monumental danger. Government should strike a balance between the fat remuneration of political office holders and what other Nigerian professionals earn. The political elite cannot continue to live in opulence while the rest wallow in abject poverty. There will be no end to agitation for better conditions of service until the nation’s wealth is equitably distributed among its various segments.

The current arrangement, which favour the politicians far and above other Nigerians, is inciting, and unhealthy for our democracy. Let the doctors also balance their demand for welfare and the demands of their profession. A doctor that stays aloof while his patient dies, in the name of trade dispute, is not worth the name. There are other ways of negotiating for better wages apart from strikes. Strike should be the last option. It is time to do away with the aluta mentality.

We condemn the solidarity strike by doctors in federal health institutions in Lagos. Their action is illegal, unethical and uncalled for. They have no reason to join the strike even for a second because their employer did not renege on their terms of employment. Next time, they should find other ways of expressing solidarity.

Tinubu’s recommendation is not a way out of this impasse and should not be contemplated at all. We call on both sides to the dispute to sheathe their swords and call off the strike. Let them be flexible and imaginative in resolving the problem.

Great piece. We cannot

Great piece. We cannot continue to accept that it is okay for Tinubu to openly loot Lagos through Alpha Beta by collecting 10% of IGR every month. It is criminal and open stealing which we must resist. if fashola must be re-elected, he should agree to stop the payment to Alpha Beta and cancel the Lekki toll project. Interestingly, the media has gone to sleep completely. EFCC will not investigate him. The Judges call him in the middle of the night. Sahara reporters - please save us by publishing the full wikileaks release including the Tinubu memos.

TO THE WRITER YOU ARE JUST A LIAR.

Friends, last year I made a decision driven by my conviction that in years to come, I will stand head-up before my children and grandchildren to defend the decision I made to support and vote Nuhu Ribadu and Fola Adeloa as the President and Vice President I believe Nigeria urgently needs. When did Ribadu picked his running mate? Stop this nonsense article.

God Bless Naija!

ts a pity i will not be casting my vote come April,2011.
I doubt if INEC has Nigerians leaving abroad in mind?

Without bias, i feel that Buhari campaign will do well to redeem our lost pride and dignity, but this can only be achieved if and only if other parties come to a consensus and join the Buhari train and vote against PDP.

I am an advocate of the NEW NIGERIA CHANGE, i recall as a child, during the Buhari/Idiagbon regime, when it was a serious offence to urinate in the street, or to jump queues, etc. Barely 2yrs ago in Obalende Lagos, i saw a guy crossed over to the other side of the bridge, with a news paper in hand to hide his face, bent down and started excreting.... "wonder what would have been his feat, in the days of Buhari and Idiagbon" These are things that this same guy will not dare even in nearby countries, but just becos there is no checks, so who cares?

Its about time we call a spade a spade, Buhari might not be your choice but at your quite moment ask yourself if others has the gut to correct the ills of the society! The like of Buhari are rare, lets live a healthy life at least for the next 4yrs, lets not sell our vote! Vote wisely!

A hungry belly knows No Religion or Tribe.

Fellow Nigerians, the religious persuasion of both Ribadu and Adeola should be meaningless to all of us. Oh, by the way, I am not a Moslem Ditto, for GEJ, Buhari or any of the other aspirants. I do not want to know where they come from either. For all I care, they could come from Jupiter! As long as their coming will allow Nigerians to sleep at nights with two eyes shut; as long as it means the common mani Nigeria can eat when and whatever he wants within reason and as long as every NIGERIAN BECOMES EQUAL BEFORE MAN AND GOD and none remains above the law and free to steal with impunity, then that candidate has my vote. None of the current candidates fit that bill because no one is perfect but RIBADU AND ADEOLA come close to fitting that bill. Nigerians please do not vote for untenable sentiments but for our future.

Be Realistic

BUHARI? GO HOME

Buhari stopped feeding university students when he was head of state even though uni of ife authorities persuaded him that they av a farm that can sustain their students but he would'nt listen cos he wants nigeria students to go hungry. stop him NOW, he was fed while in nda but deny same while he became C-I-C.

Sentimental piece

The writer of this piece is not only sentimental but lack ability to convince. I wonder what he will tell his children and grandchildren when asked about the insincerity of Ribadu.
Where Ribadu finds himself now is full of strange bed-fellows. How can he explain his relationship with Tinubu and co whom he had accused severally of being corrupt. He compromised because he just want to be president not minding through what means he gets it, so pathetic.
What we need is change, no matter who brings that change; we must set aside all sentiments and pray to God to give us a leader that will change our country and the man that will lead us with the fear of God.

WELL SAID CHARLES

As an enterprenuer, i envision a day when young Nigerians like you and me will set standards for the coming generations. Young Nigerians should start believing that THIS IS THE TIME FOR CHANGE. EVERY VOTE YOU GIVE COUNTS, we have surpassed the generations of gej, obj, buhari because we never say die!
Give your vote to Ribadu/Adeola. If people in the village dont have access to infotech, call those you know and explain the merits of voting Ribadu/Adeola, at least they receive money from GTbank when you send money home!

Toyin Fasuyi.

CONSIDER THESE FACTS

This article was written by another person I only reproduced it here to answer someones question about BUHARI, please vote wisely.

The platform provided for Ribadu/Adeola cannot stand the true test of scrutiny for corruption.

WHO IS AFRAID OF BUHARI?

I write this because of millions of Nigerians who are below 30 and who constitute a significant chunk of our voting population. This is the ICT generation that is largely ignorant about the events of the Buhari era (1983-85) and so can be misinformed and misled by needless propaganda. I have sat with many in the under-30 bracket and those slightly above who only have faint recollections of the Buhari era and the level of ignorance about that era is amazing. Before being MILITARY Head of State, Buhari had been Governor of one of the Northern States (under Obasanjo’s Military government) as well as Minister for Petroleum. He later served as Chairman of PTF under Abacha.

Please consider the following unassailable facts:
· he birthed and supervised the establishment of our existing refineries.
· there was no religious crisis while he was Head of State. It started under his successor IBB!
· in his time as Head of State he reduced inflation from 23% to 4%, by fiscal discipline and a homegrown economic team (not achieved under any other era, even military).
· JJ Rawlings of Ghana took over 2yrs before him, and killed all the corrupt leaders, while Buhari only sentenced the corrupt leaders here to prison
· Under his watch as PTF Chairman, what he did in road construction in that short period hasn't been matched by 12yrs of the PDP
· hospitals and universities around the country never witnessed as much benefits as they got from the PTF from any government after or before his time.
· despite serving in senior capacity in the oil sector, first as Minister for Petroleum and then Petroleum Trust Fund, Buhari has no petrol station, much less a rig, refinery or an oil block like so many of our leaders.
· He could have retired into nauseating opulence like an IBB or Danjuma or even OBJ but didn't
· Instead of hobnobbing with the high and mighty, he has cast his lot with the ordinary man most of who follow him out of hope and belief in his values. People who know him have said of him... "All I need from Buhari is his word, I can take it to the bank".
· he is the only politician in the North today who fills rallies without renting a crowd. The Kaduna rally of 2nd March is eloquent proof!
· He refused to collect an allowance while serving as Chairman of the PTF because he said since he was already drawing a pension from government, his conscience would not allow him to draw another salary from the purse of the same government
· He is the only former head of state that does not own property or land in Abuja.
· Every attempt to rubbish him through probes in time past eneded up vindicating him! The man who was asked by OBJ to take over the running of PTF before it was scrapped with the aim of probing and indicting Buhari, was the one who ended up being prosecuted for misappropriating $100m of PTF funds! Buhari again, was vindicated
· He has OPENLY challenged those who accuse him of religious fundamentalism to come out and show proof. No one has till today, taken up the challenge. His personal driver of many years is a Christian from Plateau State!
· Nigeria was only invited to OIC in observer status. IBB took us into full membership. This is a quote from a 2001 write-up by Prof Omoruyi, one of Babangida’s hatchet men. “The period of General Babangida (1985-1993) represented the beginning of unmitigated Islamization of Nigeria. General Babangida was one of the loyal followers of General Murtala. This was why General Babangida took the fateful decision in 1986 to face the Nigerian Christians in particular and Nigerians in general with the plan of Muslims. He without the approval of the governing organs of the Federal Military Government organized a mission led by a non-member of the Government, the Sultan of Sokoto to formally admit Nigeria into the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). When the Chief of General Staff, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe complained that he knew nothing about it and definitely said that he could not remember the matter coming to the Armed Forces Ruling Council (AFRC), he was shown his way out.
· His government initiated the War Against Indiscipline that has made environmental cleanliness, queuing up, not urinating by the roadside etc features of our national life even till today

Does it then surprise you why corrupt people would be spreading such heinous rumours about Buhari? He is a threat to them and they know what he is capable of doing to corruption and corrupt people when he comes into office! So shine your eyes and make the right decision.

If honesty and probity are the things you want for Nigeria, now is the time to choose right. When you cast your vote for the BUHARI/BAKARE ticket, you would have cast one vote for two honest men.

Now that you know better, will you please educate another person BY FORWARDING THIS TO AS MANY AS YOU CAN??

Jona come back home-its over-let us fly our flag at d UN

Task Force (STF) in Plateau State have seized a full truck load of sophisticated weapons, including explosives.

Spokesperson of the STF, Captain Charles Eckoacha, disclosed this to reporters in Jos on Friday.

“This is to bring to your notice the arrest of a truck loaded with 15, 000kg ammunition Nitrate (25kg) 5,000kg of corked fuse (500MX 100ctns) 5,000kgpcs of electric detonator (1,000pcsx5cas), 1,000 pcs of cordex rekeys, 25 mm (1 case) and 80 pcs of electric detonator,” he said.

Eckoacha said the apprehended truck belonged to a company known as DUWAN Company Ltd of Plot 10,129, Yelwa Complex, Jos.

According to him, one of the nitrates arrested was capable of manufacturing not less than 1,000 explosives.

He said the truck and its contents had been impounded by the STF and detained at the headquarters of the command in Jos.

objectivity

Let's be frank with ourselves; can ACN alone win the presidential elections as sole opposition? I seriously doubt that! The way I see it: it's either you are for PDP or you are for the opposition. Let those of us for the opposition be more supportive of a 'grand coaltion' of the opposition parties. No one should be carried away by Buhari/Bakare or Ribadu/Adeola or Shekarau tickets on an emotional/ personal basis- none of them can win these elections without a merger.

Ribadu (my candidate) should realize that only about 5-10% of Nigerians have access to internet. Also a huge chunk of voters are rural dwellers who have never used computers before, neither do they know about his heroic anti-corruption acts. My point is if he must go into the forth-coming elections without a merger, then he should get more pragmatic with his campaign. Much of this rave on the internet about Ribadu is diasporan, not exactly crowd support coming from the common masses who are going to vote in April.

Goodluck is only 8 months baby give him a chance to work

Charily, thank you for thought. but I sincerely want you to answer me correct before God and Man why & why?
1). the north has ruled for 38 years both their youth and old , Yakubu was 28years when he took over, Muretala was 30 when he too over , what exactly again are they trying to imposed on Nigeria? is it born to rule?

2). Muslims has ruled Nigeria for 38 years , what do we have

3). in Nigeria Christians are 60% Muslim less than 40% together with the pagan worshippers, do you before God and man think it would not work here where religious war is carried out by the north against other religion in Nigeria on a daily bases?

4) out of 60% put at over 80Million Christians does it mean known is worthy of been a vice -president ? instead of Muslim- Muslim, against Christians in Nigeria , is this not a jihad agenda of usman dan fodio greta grand children which Tinubu , rebadu and Adeola represents.
5). have you ,( we) taken time out to check who this Tinubu, rebadu and Adeola great grand father is and there religious believe.

6) are this people corrupt free compared with Good luck Jonathan,

My friend do not deceive your self, there is allot involved on who rules Nigeria , the north, the Muslims are more deep in fraud and corruptions than the southern Christians , be sincere to yourself, man and God to check the endless list of those who had destroyed Nigeria, Buhari, Abacha, IBB, Abdulsalam, Elrufia, Rebadu, Danjuma, Ciroma the list is endless the are not from South the are north , stop this noncense and vote whom you want to vote but do not deceive me that is fulanis is better than your borther in the south , the north don't like you, Buhari came he jailed all the southern politians even fela and let the north lose no single arrest was made same with Rabadu as EFCC jailed and distoried the Economy of the south but left the north, Sanusi at CBN has destroyed the Economy of the south took all the macro Finance banks and health bank loop them into AMCO and appoint his brother a fulani man to head an multi- trillion Naira establishment that belongs to the south , why not appoint a southern to head AMCO , it is this there evil mentality that the south is corrupt, they have a hidden agenda to conquer the south from where their grand father stopped in Yoruba land., Tinubu has made sure that all those ruling south west are Muslims so as to discredit the Christians who does not had have not taken up to 5% of what the north had stolen, the north has nothing to prove that the are not corrupt rather than to suppress the south. Muslim has ruled for 38 years of nothingness, North 38 years of Nothingness, then here again Muslim – Muslims? Nigeria is doomed to bow to the American Prediction

GoodluckNigria did not distory Nigeria , , he has no enemy. he hs not stolen again money , he has not jail or distory any family compared with this co -contestant , many are killers, lack Educations, alway behaving like police man a dn solider to kcik our Ass ,before now I was among those against Jonathan, but when God spoke to me that Nigeria Salvation is in the hand of Joanthan I repented over night . so my friend Think deep and tell the truth about who and who distoried Nigeria , this way God will show you the light .

Antics of the Association of Corrupt Naijas-ACN

The article is not worth it. The guy did what he was paid to do. Sing the praise of Ribadu who is now wanted by the House for questioning over the mission billions including Odilis. Nigerian have gone through all these pack of lies told by the paid pipers. I learnt my lesson the hard way. The very day we said No to late Chief Gani. That was when I became aware of what Nigerians stand for. Now the crooks who refused to die for Chief Gani because he did not DASH them his hard earned money, owo, ego, kudi, are here singing the praise of Ribadu and Tinubu. The bigger the brown evelope the longer the space given to the article here. Did they not see Gani before we voted for OBJ in 99? Was it Obj who made it impossible for Gani to win Ondo state? Now they want to vote for the same ex military men and retired policemen who destroyed the country under their Fulani hegemonic tree. Two Fulani presidential candidates? Where lies our unity of purpose. Study the authoritarian way the Ribadus handles issues in ACN. Add Tinubus family tree to it. Wife, daughters and son inlaws. That is how the nation cake is going to be distributed. The oil blocks by Tinubu and Ribadu. Its nothing but war arounbd the oil wells owned by the druken sailor fisher men. Its therefore not about PDP. Its about Jonathan and Sambo. PDP is just a label-a structure--the ladder through which the new breed want to use in salvaging the country. So stop giving me that crap about PDP being in power for 12yrs-it was Buhari, IBB, Gusau, and Atiku-who were in power. Dont forget ACN was cloned by a member of the PDP Atiku. So it has all the trappings of PDP in it. That is why its called Association of Corrupt Naijas. The stolen tax revenue they used in winning judicial elections thorugh Salami, will equally be investigated soon. So they are all shaking under their wet pants. Was it not the PDP that gave birth to ACN. They are all the same thing. But one is better than the other. At least they often send their corrupt ones to jail. Until then, we await full action to be taken on Tinubus and Rinbadu. Soon they would be here to tell us-Jonathan wants to assassinate them. Bode George did not say Jonathan was after him when he was jailed. The trial of Tinubu, Odili and Ribadu must begin now. Or free Ibori period. Cause they are all thieves.

LET US THINK BETTER.

As a matter of choice, everyone sticks to his or her opinions cos of your relationship or awareness you knew about them .but i want all nigerians to look at some things that are unique which can come from this so call presidental candidates. dont let us think about religion wise or tribalism in things cos this has not been helping nigeria as a country at all.All we need is to think of better nigeria and the great future for my generation and the ones coming.
PDP has been in power for years now with promises that wasnt achieved and can not be possible, cos there are many things surrounding it like corruption, occultism ,rituals etc.
All i think is a change in goverment, for a greater nigeria. The nigerians home and abroad were suffering this act.Even more outside nigeria like what mr chalse said. We faced many things in the name of a bad nigeria, which can only be correct by a right man with vision and integrity.
i believe the combination of the great party that has not fail the citizen of his state (ACN) with many greater things and MALLAM NUHU RIBADU, has some things better to offer us .If only nigerians can think better and look into the stuff they got to offer and give a try.
For example in a country like nigeria ,i can not cast my vote for a president candidate that cant face a debate ,which means he has noting to offer than wasting our time and planing to steal more.
Even the corruption has enter many so called NIGERIA EMBASSIES outside nigeria ,where every helps rended is paying huge amount of money with poor administrations.
Sometime i felt so bad as a nigerian, when we can not stand on the truth.
This is just the right time to save lives and give hope to the future of many nigerians with your vote.Dont sell out your destiny and vote in the name of money ,cos the money shall finish and the destiny needs to shine.
so think twice i believe RIBADU/ADEOLA (ACN) is a better option for nigeria president .
IT IS POSSIBLE WITH YOU AND ME.

God, please free the people in this british nonsense called nige

God, please free the people in this british nonsense called nigeria. Why should we be having these log-jams all the time? nigeria is unworkable.

Listen to me! are duo of Tinubu better dan PDP.

We have already made up our minds. We know who the drug barons are and the ex police officers who stole the properties of those they sent to jail. Its not through the internet that Ribadu would win election. If elections in Nigeria were to be conducted through the web-sites that help to sex up stories for Ribadu and Buhari, they will win any day. But that is not the case. The question most Nigerians ask is who is Ribadu? Show me your friends and I will tell you who U are. That is the Tinubu and Ribadu case. The guy personifies corruption at the highest level. Birds of the same feather flock together. The wise men tell us. Are they are not wrong. Tinubu steals the same way as Ribadu. The only thing they know how to do is to use the media to lie to Nigerians. But we know them-we know who Ribadu is-we know who Tinubu is--Lagos state doctors are on strike-Yet they fly around the country in chartered flights. Is that the man who has the interest of the common people at heart? People are dying daily in hospitals while Tinubu orders Fashola to sack the doctors-Is he not behaving like Buhari? (Listen to me) listen to me in Lagos state? Begging his socalled power base to listen to him? That was Ribadu. If Lagosians cannot listen to Ribadu for 5minutes, is it Nigerians that should waste their time on him. He is a disgrace to his party-listen to me--I never heard that one from even Sambo-our choice. The election is about personalities not on parties. So dump this PDP rubbish-after all they were in the hands of a military men like OBJ and Buhari. Now we want to trust and ex police man-A Nigerian police man for that matter! For the first time in the history of the country we have an olope--EGUNJE incorporated with Tinubu as their boss-wanting to control our oil resources--pls give us a break--as for me-I wail for Nigeria with such a team. All our aircraft will be filled with nothing but drugs-with Ribadu as their escort-with the full backings of the Americans---

Charles is amongst the lower

Charles is amongst the lower level thinkers in Nigeria who are emotive rather than critical thinkers. PDP has used the religious, ethic card to hold us hostage for 12 years. How Christian have your leaders been. How accountable have they been with the saw called 'God given' mandate? Christianity or Islam is the medium by which we connect on a spiritual level with God our creator. We know if a person is connected by their values - that they stand for outwardly and their ethics - how they live their lives. PDP pays lip service to the tenents of Christianity - their treatment of their mandate bears no semblance to the God that we serve. Let us 'shine our eyes' and vote for the best men! Christian/Christian, Moslem/moslem, Christian/Moslem. Is not the issue.

Ribadu is a foreign agent-with no respect for the Rule of Law.

What would I tell my children if they ask why the Americans had Ribadus name feature in almost all the wikileak expos. The Americans wanted him to be re-appionted as the head of EFCC. Why the Americans wanted Waziri sacked. What would I tell them. What would I tell them If they ask to know why he reduced his ADOPTED country to nothing
before the American Senate? What would I tell them when they ask why Ribadu could not account for the 20b which he seized from his former boss? What would I tell them, if they attempt to find out why Ribadu described Tinubu as the biggest crook on earth, only for him to plead his way to the heart of the same drug baron. Are these the people that we should trust? A man who never hanged the rank of a CP or served as one in any state? The America CIA did not support Abiola. Why are they trying to impose Ribadu on the masses? The piece falls into the category of articles often planted on behalf of those secretly working for foreign powers. I would rather vote 4 cows than have my family think of a man as irrational as Ribadu. A man who has no respect for the rule of law. Ribadu who goes where he is told to go and arrest people not because they are thieves but to satisfy his masters. Did Ribadu and Tinubu bribe Salami. Let their conscience judge them. That is where the truth lies. The 15m bribe from Ibori was handed over to Ribadu by Andy Uba. That was what Ribadu said. Bring Ibori for trial in Nigeria. To enable us know the truth. How did Ribadu collect the 15m? Through bank draft cash? A man who threatend IWU with sack if he DOES not disqualify Atiku from the presidential race-has only one place to go -his cattle ranch 4 my votes.

You goofed as you lied about your statement

"Friends, LAST YEAR I made a decision driven by my conviction that in years to come, I will stand head-up before my children and grandchildren to defend the decision I made to support and vote Nuhu Ribadu and Fola Adeloa as the President and Vice President I believe Nigeria urgently needs."

LAST YEAR??? How did you attain such a decision last year when Fola Adeola only became VP Candidate to Nuhu last month?

Please your claim is fraudulent and to see that you brought in God is phew!

In the interest of Nigeria multi-ethnic and multi-religious nature, Nuhu should withdraw and Support Buhari/Bakare ticket for there is no need to divide votes. Importantly, Nuhu is a product of PDP and he is FOREVER loyal to Obasanjo. The only candidate that can liberate Nigeria from Obasanjo and PDP is Buhari.

I am a Yoruba boy and I support Buhari.

A good combination to behold

Good script from charles. He spoke the mind of progressive Nigerian.I have watched closely and concluded that it's God desire for this combination to emerge.Having looked at the qualities of these gentlemen, Nigerian have a course to rejoice if they are able to win the election.I worked in an organization dated 2002 and Fola was the chairman of the organization.During one of our board meetings, he told us how he decided to revolutionalize banking industry. He told us a story how his immediate boss in First bank used to cover his computer with cover and nobody dare touch it.There and then, he vowed that, whenever opportunity comes to own a bank,it is going to be IT driven.Everybody can testify to this revolution in our banks today.Fola is very courageous and can stand to look anybody in the face if matter arose. When you look at Ribadu antecedents in EFCC,he is someone we can really entrust leadership to.He's fearless and very passionate about the state called Nigeria. There is a common saying going around.People keep on saying, its not yet time for him. When is the time?Although i like him but he might not gather enough vote?Cast your own vote and make sure you canvass to your friends and household and ten other people to vote for him.Do you know how many people i have spoken to and changed their mind from wasting their vote on Goodluck.People are just sentimental about GEJ without necessary looking at his manifestoes and the people he surrounded himself with such as Anenih & OBJ.These are people that had opportunity of turning our country around for decades but were engulfed in their self centerdness.A word is enough for a wise. This is our time, let's use our vote to take our destiny from tiny cabals that have grounded this country for 50yrs.

Nuhu my foots

Ribadu Nuhu is a complete liar and he has no sign of changing therefore we Nigerians cannot entrust our lives into such a follow.

Ribadu in what ever way cannot win in his local governemnt council all these talks are just fallancy lets be serious and say the truth.

Ribadu is a fruad and only reason AHMED TINUBU is party with him is to use him clear his name to enable HIM contest next president election. MARK MY WORD

Transition to chaos?

General elections begin in less than a month from now.The candidates are on the field campaigning vigorously.INEC may have prepared well for the elections. Is the judiciary ready? With the various allegations flying around concerning the lead judges of the supreme and the appeal courts,I think the upcoming elections are already endangered. The Nigerian judicial commision is supposed to be looking into allegations of corruption against both the appeal court president and the chief justice.Let it be on record that never in the judicial history of this country has one judge openly revealed how another judge encouraged him to pervert the course of justice.Several judicial resignations are needed at both the appeal and supreme courts. PDP leaders have destroyed this country in its entirety. I need someone to tell me what is left for us in this country. The president,is clueless and is busy fighting to get elected. The national assembly is a big joke and now they have destroyed the judiciary.I am not sure if really we are ready for democracy. We are transiting to chaos.Presently I do not see any light at the end of our democratic tunnel.God bless the federal republic of Nigeria.

Nuhu Ribadu!! Really?

In as much as everyone has the right to their own opinion, I "think" the writer is not sincere with this article. He cleverly put forward "Ribadu and Adeola" before God while concealing the religious identity of the later whose Muslim name is Taju. I am not a fanatic but we really need to bring into consideration all the elememnts that make up the entity called Nigeria. Ours is a multicultural, multireligion and "multiethnic" country where the overbearing of one part over the other usually results into mini ethinic war such as what we are experiencing in Plateau State now. Can someone tell me what would be the reaction of the North if we had Tunde Bakare and Ken Nnamani ticket? I'm sure it would be a bad sell. Remember that the aliance  between CPC and ACN collapsed because Tinubu (a muslim) would like to be the running mate of Buhari who equally is a muslim.  In terms of morals, Ribadu is not the best man for us now. The reason is very simple. He decieves Nigerians at will. Here is a man who as the EFCC boss, came out and informed the whole world that Bola Ahmed Tinubu was one of  the most corrupt Governor in Nigeria. He said he has damning evidences to nail Tinubu. But now what do we see? We see a Ribadu dinning and winning with that same "corrupt man". Lack of good morals breeds corruption and this is what Ribadu stands for. Have we even asked Ribadu who is funding his presidencial campaign? Is it not the same "corrupt people" of yesterday that are bankrolling the bills?. After all, as at the last time he decleared his assets, he was just around 26 million naira (cash and assets) which in present day Nigeria is not enough to contest for local government chairmaship.

Patriots, yes we can make a positive change Nigerians

Friends the writer of this article made a lot of sensible points, but the problem is that ACN can not win the presidency of Nigeria, ofcourse they will win a lot of governorship slot especially in the South west where the Yorubas will surely vote enmasse against PDP.The issues at stake is the voting out of office of this fraudulently corrupt PDP party so that Nigeria can for once be set on course to real economic development and the task needs a patriot with the desterity of a surgeon and an unwaivering zeal for Nation buiding, someone that will lead by example and we Nigeria have him in our midst but our judgement to do the right thing is still clouded by parochial ethnic sentimens and religious zealotry.I tell you the leader that we really need to pray for and vote to become Nigerian president in this 2011 presidential election is the one and only patriot plenipotentiary Gen.Muhammadu Buhari(rtd).Nigerian do not vote based on religion/ethnic sentiments but vote as One Nigeria(north/south/east/west).Thank you.

good defence but

Well written. I like and respect fola adeola. However, for Nuhu, the respect he gets today is for the hacket job he did for his boss. They carefully selected those to punish and succeeded in punishing them. If he need our vote and you want us to join the crusade, pls let him explain why OBJ was not prosecuted during the transcorp shares saga.
Am a south south youth, a believer in a new Nigeria. However, at this time, Buhari is a best bet to rebuild institutions, address indiscipline and tackle corruption. Until these issues are address we are in bit shit. See how the judges/justices are exposing their dirty linens in public?? That arm of government is/was our hope, now its for sale to the highest bidder. Vote right, Vote GMB

THANK YOU CHARLES

This writer has indeed exposed the heart of many Nigerians and especially Nigerians in diaspora who sadly will be disenfranchised because of the failure of the ruling but out going PDP.

"At the international borders you are not from the north or south, they see you as a Nigerian, not as Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo. The perception of the world about us knows no tribe, we are Nigerians and Nigerians get the blame and the kicks"

The above statement is one of the compelling reasons why we should all unite and support the duo of RIBADU and ADEOLA.
At France's CDG airport of all the over 300 passengers in the Air Bus plane from Shanghai to Paris i was the only one who was asked to stand aside for special searching and double scanning of my international passport.
Again on a flight with American Airlines from LHR to Chicago O'hare airport i was seated in a special seat with a CCTV directly over me.
At Chinese/Vietnamese border crossing , i was told by one of the Immigration officials that as a Nigerian there is a specific instruction that all Nigerians should be subjected to extra and extreme searching and their passports taken inside to be scanned . I was singled out from all the passengers to the utter surprise of my fellow tourists as our bus waited endlessly for me .
The above events are just the few that i can remember . Severally have i been turned back by international banks from opening an account because i am a Nigerian , in Hong Kong , in China and in London despite having all the required documents, and finally a staff in one of the banks confided in me that i am a Nigerian and we are in NCCT . When i recount these ugly situations i ask myself what can i do to change this or do i want my children to go through the same humiliation as they grow up??? I came up with the answer, let Ribadu run for the presidency, and God in his mercy and love for me and for Nigeria answered this prayer and today RIBADU is in the race for the Presidency, i will support him with my life and if need be i will take up arms to defend his mandate which i am sure Nigerians will freely give to him.
Fellow Nigerians this is the time for us all to stand up and be counted , let us move our country forward and secure her a rightful place in the 21st century . VOTE RIBADU/ADEOLA NEXT MONTH !
PDP is a symbol failure! Fellow Nigerians PDP has ran out of ideas, they are old men and women who did not pass through these kind of humiliations that we Nigerians in diaspora and at home goes through almost on daily basis. They have a mind set that tells them that Nigeria will not be a great country and that this is the way things work in Africa. That it is out of place for light to be on for 24 hours round the clock in Nigeria, they believe that riding in a sub way train is very very unNigeria and the exclusive preserve of children they train abroad with our monies they stole , that the common man in Nigeria should not enjoy such good life. This is the mind set of the present leadership in Nigeria. For twelve years Nigerians are more poorer than they were before 1999 and the nation made more revenue through oil than they have ever made this last decade.
This Change is very very possible in Nigeria and now is the time. Or we may go the way of Zimbabwe, the hawks at World bank are waiting and watching to see Nigeria go the way of Zimbabwe or Somalia. Jonathan does not have the courage to move Nigeria to the next level as we say in Nigeria. Today men and women of Nigeria customs service parade the street with guns in Lagos . They chase ordinary people with guns on streets in Lagos. I wonder what is going on , when did Lagos become Mexico/United states border. There seems to be no Government in place in Nigeria. A lilly livered man is in power, even the Controller General of Nigerian Customs does not take instructions from the Presidency and today thousands of containers load of goods imported by hard working innocent Nigerians are being seized daily by the NCS . They are creating kidnappers and armed robbers who will in turn turn their guns on them as well as the larger society.
God bless Nigeria.
