You need to rise above ethnic considerations and look at things objectively. The people in govt. will keep repeating themselves like a broken record, but the people will not budge. Several people have offered alternative solutions to removing the subsidy, but the govt. chose to be deaf and blind to all suggestions. We will see where this ends.

I just laugh when people keep saying we should wait for palliatives to take effect. The results of the palliatives are needed NOW, not in 2 -3 years time. The family about to the thrown out into the streets as they can no longer afford the doubled and tripled house rent cannot wait for the palliatives' indirect effects to take place. And so on. Again, there are alternative ways of achieving the objective of this policy; the govt. should revisit them.

They did not oppose it.They all signed up to it.But when the governors of some states in western Nigeria went home, they provided huge sums of money to fund the protests in their states - providing money for t-shirts,food etc for protesters in order to sabotage their colleagues & the President.Haba, Yoruba, how treacherous!Awolowo as Commissioner & Deputy Chairman of Nigerian NEC conspired & advised Gowon to immediately create 12 states in order to polarize & make it difficult for the now South South to remain committed to the Biafra effort with their oil & natural gas.The same Awo advised on how to make it difficult for Biafra to get food & weapons.And you say Igbo people should trust the Yorubas.Try squeezing water out of stone.
