You’re A Bad Performer Sylva, Says Jonathan! By Sunday Njokede

Ex-governor Sylva’s sin includes working with spanner day and night to stop Jonathan becoming president in the power vacuum created by Yaradua’s absence.  The president  is bent on making him pay for his trespasses in one instalment. No second term for Sylva! What is hotter than that?

Sylva on the other hand, deserves all inhumanity Jonathan could offer him. He may chuck him inside the lion’s den if he chooses. In fact Jonathan should parcel Senator David Mark plus others who blocked his transition from vice to president. It breaks my heart seeing sycophants showing fake love to those in power only when they get.

However, it is of note to say that. Mr Jonathan loves kicking people who are lying low around. Hence he waited the court to sack Sylva before booting him. The more stranded one is the more cowardly opportunism to kick him around with statecraft.

Waiting for Sylva to be sacked before bouncing on him; has given teeth to speculations that PDP influenced the court’s judgement just to drive him. After which, PDP would wheel and deal with Jega’s INEC and the judiciary to bring back the four other affected to their once positions. As of now, they’ve succeeded in Kogi and Adamawa States. No Jupiter can stop PDP from restoring two remaining governors. Whereby Jega and the judiciary are pliable and Nigerians are Godly complacent.

President Jonathan’s present beef with Sylva is an arm bush. Meant to cut a pound of flesh from the ex-governor - for disrespecting and neglecting him when he was vice-president?  Jonathan likes arm-bushing people with cowardly effectiveness. On New Year’s Day, he arm bushed Nigerians with petro price hike after promising April dateline on the dot.

You’ve not seen anything yet. The cinema is just opening with Sylva and Bayelsa State as kickoff venue. As time passes by, the president would torment more governors and others – who, denigrated and sidelined him during late Yaradua’s era. But I can bet you that Sylva would expose how they rigged election for Jonathan if he’d not ceasefire and surrender earlier as Gaddafi should’ve done making beeline.

Texas, USA. There is a wisecrack in Texas which goes like this “big hat, no cow.” This parable is referred to cattle farmers who use their money wastefully buying expensive big hats rather than purchasing more cows for gain and continuity sake. Responsible cowmen are known for buying plenty cows instead of grandiose owambe hats. Jonathan and Sylva have spent our money shopping big hats for themselves instead of buying moneymaking and future-guaranteeing cows for Nigeria’s raining day.

While wearing his big hat and no cow, Mr Jonathan went walking and talking the Machiavellian way in his hometown last week. He jeered Sylva for underperformance. Then he went a step further. Saying what a swell time he had had watching the former governor being stoned sometime ago.

This is how the president puts it “... I was here in this place some months ago and Bayelsans stoned the governor.” The incident took place whilst PDP was introducing Mr Seriake Dickson as governorship candidate for Feb 12 election.  It pains me that Bayelsa people have the bad luck of being stampeded by inept rulers. And whilst warning the new PDP governorship candidate to be clearheaded not to incur the stone bug. Jonathan continued “You must work hard to make sure that Bayelsans don’t stone you. The day I come here and Bayelsans stone you, I will follow and stone you.”

Here is a scariest one.  Imagine If Jonathan is to be the ‘Performance Police’ or Ministry of Performance! Nigeria would be measuring progress by shit-standard while other countries would use gold-standard and other pro-active yardsticks. Building hotels and unneeded airports would be norms instead of erecting schools and factories. They’d be no shortage of mediocre if Jonathan is put in position to define what development means. A country ruled by shithead and the one governed by a can-do leader are miles apart.

Compare the progresses going on in Lagos and Edo States with what’s obtainable in Bayelsa - you’d know what time is it.

My crystal ball tells me that this whole shenanigan of installing Dickson as governorship is to make way for Mrs Deziani Alison-Mudueke to become governor of that state in the future. Like OBJ his mentor Jonathan is posed to enthrone his apologist governors and co. should in case he couldn’t vie 2015 presidential election.

Mr President is bringing a lot of negative vibes and character to Bayelsa because; shame is a scare commodity yonder.

Jonathan is the ugly poster child for low performance since way back Nigeria was born. Ex-governor Sylva is just a tip of PDP and Aso Rock’s huge iceberg of ill-performance. A pot, do not call kettle black in Britain. But in Bayelsa State it is the norm. Jonathan is a pot who calls the kettle black. Such is the black man’s burden of shame.
