One of the noble achievements of the country in the eight years of former President Olusegun Obasanjo was the passage of the Fiscal Responsibility Bill .Though this was one of the conditions for the debt relief granted the Nigerian people and nation by the Paris and London clubs of creditors; as brokered by Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. President Obasanjo mindful of his record of financial malfeasance left office on the 29th of May 2007 without signing the Bill into an Act. This courageous and presidential duty was performed by President Umaru Musa Yar’dua.

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

I am writing this piece because I have noticed a trend with Nigerian banks and the way they seem to be exploiting the Nigerian people with both real and imaginary charges with so much impunity and no one not even the regulatory agencies seem to care one bit.

The noose of custom and tradition is tightening slowly but surely around the neck of Dr Edmund Maduabebe Daukoru, a former Petroleum and Energy Minister under the Obasanjo presidency, and interim Amanyanabo of Nembe. Jonathan GoodLuck must have known the true meaning of politics. It’s a game for the swift and brave hearted. You can Rule or be made to rule on behalf of others. There is no doubt that happenings in Nigeria have the atoms of "scolding winds", an "ambitious ocean swell " with "rage and foam," and "threatening clouds:"The ambitious swell of 36 Buccaneers’ in the name of Governors forum, can fathom the SCOLDING WINDS,

This is my first ever meeting of a highly respected person in Italy as i won't describe him as a politician as many of you readers would frown as all politicians are the same.

Olusegun Obasanjo (born March 5, 1937) was President of Nigeria from 1999- 2007. A born-again Christian of Yoruba extraction, Obasanjo was a career soldier before serving twice as his nation's head of state, once as a military ruler, between 13 February 1976 and 1 October 1979 and again, 1999 - 2007 elected president of Nigeria.I cannot fail to pay tribute to a professional, whom have served so long, a people, a nation he loves so well,as it fills me with an emotion I cannot express. But this Tribute is not intended primarily to honor a personality, but to symbolize a great moral code -- the code of conduct and chivalry of a man whom have guarded this beloved land of culture and ancient descent Nigeria. That is the animation of this Tribute. For all eyes and for all time, it is an expression of the ethics of a Nigerian soldier, statesman and diplomat.
