Never, in the history of our country, has a negligible minority been so right. Never has that minority hoped so fervently to be wrong, to be proven wrong! And never has the avoidable error of the majority been so swift in raining the consequences foreseen and predicted by the minority upon the land.

It didn’t have to come to this. You told them but they abused you; you warned them but they cursed you; they unfriended and blocked you on Facebook; they hounded you on Twitter; harassed your friends and relatives; they asked your mother to warn you. They called you unpatriotic. And now ill fares the land. They seek the relief of tears but even their lachrymal glands are too weather-beaten, too defeated to yield any harvest. They seek to gnash their teeth but King Jona, the fishbone they wedged into their own throats with their own hands, prevents even the movement of their distraught jaws. And now I see King Jona’s geniuses all around me – comrades made genius by King Jona because they predicted the obvious that the majority could not see or did not want to see. I see them fall into the temptation of elation. I see the confidence of the vindicated. I hear them gloat. I hear them say: “I told you so!” But I say to my brothers and sisters in the community of the despised and derided minority: gloat not for our work has only just begun. I say to them: the error of the majority is the proverbial sky that falls but fails to discriminate on whose head it falls. I say to them: King Jona is a rain of ill-augury that does not fall exclusively on the compound of the kool-aiders who imposed him on our country. I say to them: we must remain in the trenches for 2015 is at hand and our enemies are at work, organizing the next rape while we agonize or dwell on the tragic error of the majority. I say to them: we were right this time but may we be wrong in our predictions of worse scenarios for 2015! And the time for us to start struggling to be wrong is NOW.

True words

Well it has come to pass and all those fools that voted jona are the ones lamenting

"Pope" Pius, as long as you

"Pope" Pius,

as long as you people in the trenches bring the dumb asses such as Buhari, Atiku, IBB for 2015, you will keep failing! Nigeria has had those for nearly 50yrs with tragic results, and now we reject such!

Uncle Pius

What is your take on this?

Should we Scrap Christian and Muslim Pilgrimage Board?

You are not Rigth

Pius has no sponsors and there is nothing like blackmail, the facts are there Goodluck has change to Badluck for us. Not even in the desart where I live, without a single oil well we are not paying much for fuel like in Nigeria. GLJ has to change the direction of government in the best interest of the majority. It is not question of emotion, sentiments and hatred.

Not many of us will support your insults on the person of Pius and will encourage your ill mission. Can you not see the anger and death in the Land?

Who will save Goodluck from his PDP oppressors?

Pius, thanks for covering the political end.

I squirm, when dim wit politicians and half baked, western imposed economists argue about the irrationality of fuel subsidy in a country where the majority of its citizens live below $2/day income, because of corruption and greed of its elite, and by virtue of political naivety, Petrol costs 150 Naira a liter, despite daily oil production of 2.5 million barrels, yet comparing us to western countries with monthly social security PAY OUTS, availabilty of multitudes of philantropic establishments ensuring the less advantaged of the society are cared for.

So far, the only 'social security' Nigerians have enjoyed is the 'oil subsidy'. Same 'subsidy' was abused by PDP big-wigs and their criminal minded business partners. They are the same bandits that wrecked our refineries and infrastructures.

Is this the transformation Goodluck promised?

Who will save Goodluck from his PDP/IMF oppressors?

Pope Pius, when will the

Pope Pius, when will the occupy Nigeria House in Ottawa begin? We have to fight this war on all fronts. Let's begin to occupy our embassies/high commissions across the world. Time to bring down the regime of Gridlock Do-nothing. Time to Reclaim Nigeria! Jonathan has lost the moral authority to lead Nigeria!

NIGERIANS SHOULD BLAME THEMSELVES

Nigerians should have themselves to blame for voting GEJ. In most developed democracies if the ruling govts are not addressing the needs of the people they are voted out so as to usher in a new era with fresh ideas. Nigerians voted again for the PDP. This is the party of the same ruling elite that created the mess and rot that we find ourselevs today and yet since return of democracy in 1999. We keep voting in the same party. How then do we expect a change in the polity. PDP is the party of the Babangidas, Obasanjos, Yaraduas, Danjumas etc The same set of people that ruined opportunities that would have made Nija great. How then do you think that their stooge(GEJ) would be different. I think 2015 is another opportunity to vote for change in Nigeria. Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria

A prayer to be wrong_ Pius Adesanmi

Before the Bouasis's revolution descended rapaciously and cataclysmically across the Maghreb, the powers were so good that they could even tame and destroy the eidolon of revolution. Yet, when it actually came, it was like a tsunami eating up the Fukuyama in a gulp. Let those who feel that a common Nigerian is an idiot continue to enjoy their feelings. Let those that work less and reap the grossiest of undeserved remunerations continue to live at Aso rock and its opulent, and saliva-inducing environs, across the corruption ridden gulag known as Nigeria. As it is biblically told, the day shall come, so sayeth the Lord. The ground would be earnestly and feverishly begged to open up and swallow some of them, but the terra-firma would bluntly refuse this beseeching when the fiery sword of justice comes down like the hot-magma of a volcanic eruption. The day shall come, so sayeth thy Lord.

WISDOM & GEJ

Proverbs 1: 20 - 27
Wisdom is crying out in the street; her voice is loud in the open places; Her words are sounding in the meeting-places, and in the doorways of the town: How long, you simple ones, will foolish things be dear to you? and pride a delight to the haters of authority? how long will the foolish go on hating knowledge?
Be turned again by my sharp words: see, I will send the flow of my spirit on you, and make my words clear to you.
Because your ears were shut to my voice; no one gave attention to my out-stretched hand; You were not controlled by my guiding, and would have nothing to do with my sharp words:
So in the day of your trouble I will be laughing; I will make sport of your fear; When your fear comes on you like a storm, and your trouble like a rushing wind; when pain and sorrow come on you.

But Nigerians refused Wisdom by voting for Jonathan and reaping the effects...Strikes, Boko Haram, Subsidy Wahala....etc.

PIUS-So what next

And what is the alternative?

I agree that the minority should fight to be wrong else the consequence may be too grave not just for Nigeria but for all of Africa. However, at the same time, the status quo cannot and must not be sustained.
A case of damned if you do or damned if you don't.

And still, intentionally or otherwise, the elite carry on down the road to an inevitability assisted by external actors.

So Pius- what are the alternatives?

But Will The People Learn?

As it was prophesied, so it came to pass... But have the people learnt anything?!

I pray for Nigeria, but how can she progress when so many are unable to see beyond ethnicity, religious affiliations and other linking factors, when voting persons to positions of power in the country?

Those who fail to heed the lessons of history, are bound to repeat its mistakes. It's one thing for the people to cry now because of the pain, but quite another to cry at the CAUSE of the pain. As biblical prophets of old were stoned for failed prophecies, I think I'm ready to be stoned for, hopefully, failed prophecies of woe in 2015.

Pius Adesanmi is clearly one

Pius Adesanmi is clearly one of those nonentities that just sit down and critisize forever. We all know that Jonathan could and should perform better, Buhari had his chance in the past and Nigeria is still where it is today,The Boko Haram plague has been released on Nigeria just to undermine Jonathan's presidency. Brothers and Sisters ill rather pay N144 for fuel than become Islamatised under buhari and his Kindred knowing fully well that though it might be painful now the forces of demand and supply would in the long run stabilise petrol prices, including creating Job opportunities in refining. You irritable people keep ranting as if Jonathan destroyed Nigeria, for your Information we are all responsible for the mess Nigerians is in, so stop blaming the guy and try to do your part, shun corruption in your own limited sphere

BH

The Muslims in the Niger Delta were also given 24 hrs notice to pack out. So some criminal element wo want to heat the polity will will always seize the opportunity, because of lack of Trust,Truth and Justice and good governance

Nigeria has been decieved again by Western Creditor Nations.

I Wonder what coping Mechanism is in place in Nigeria today to buffer the effects of fuel Subsidy removal as dictated to Nigeria by their Western creditor masters?. Ghana has better coping Mechanism than Nigeria on Fuel Subsidy removal as they don't rely on portable Generators to power their Country unlike Nigeria. We all know that all the supposed savings from the subsidy is not up to the amount Nigerian power brokers steal annually & this case won't be different. Nigerians, be informed that the Western Nations dictating Suicidal Economic theories to you ; spend Billions on Social Welfare payments, almost 40% of UK residents are on some Social Welfare payments otherwise there will be chaos in the Land. Isn't that Subsidy of some form?? But these "Bretton Woods Institute" black slaves read from Oyinbo text book & blindly apply it to African Scenario without concern for Social safety nets. With no War on corruption, Nigeria will not survive!

"I voted GEJ not PDP"

His indeed was the most ridiculous, illiterate, self-deceiving statement of the 2011 elections. Well, for thos who voted GEJ and not PDP, maybe you vote vote for PDP and not GEJ during the 2015 elections. All the best....a

Election illusion 3

To further delay this revolution, illusion in “democracy” must be promoted. It must be deceptively presented as if masses can express their anger through ballot box. Nigerian ruling class and their Imperialist master would have loved this election to be truly free and obviously fair, but it is one thing to wish and another thing to be capable of executing your wish. Incapable of engaging in any productive endeavour, Nigerian ruling class rely on massive corruption for its survival. Political power is a licence to wealth and better life. They kill, maim and ready to go to any extent to get power.

Election illusion 2

For 50 years, Nigerian ruling class has almost completely ruined Nigeria state. If Egyptians revolted while rate of poverty was 19%, how much more is revolution imminent in Nigeria where poverty rate is 70% of her population? Manufacturing sector has completely collapsed and corruption skyrocketing, reaching the highest in the world in 2004. Though, Nigeria has her economy growing at 8.24% in first quarter of 2011, yet, it is ranked among low-income countries. Gini Co-efficient of .56 is one of the highest in the world; this is the direct outcome of billions of dollars raked in as a result of high oil prices. Instead of this wealth going to productive activity, it ends up in building mansions in UK, US and every part of the globe. Objective condition for revolution in Nigeria is over-ripened and this is a source of serious worry for the imperialist and Nigerian ruling class.

The mistake of the majority

The 'I told you so' group got what they wanted. One or two jonatarian internet worriors were knighted (made genius) by King Jona who made them special advisers on media and on FB matters, others had their fat budgets approved without a question, again by the King. The majority of the jonatarians are now left to pounder on their stupidity and what has become of their 'God-sent' King. The fact of the matter is simply that people voted for Jonathan based on sectarian identification, ignorance and greed, and not on any economic, social or development considerations. They can't eat their cake and have it, so it is pay-up time. We are all paying for the mistake of the majority, but is that not what democracy is all about? With the situation now in Nigeria, 2015 is a long time and my own prayer is that the ever fragile union called Nigeria is not altogether consumed by its very own version of sectarian democracy or should we call it the 'mistake of the majority'.

The demise of PDP is finally here

Nigerians are very wonderful set of people that don't forget the deeds of past leaders and their parties easily. I take my queue from the case of our own lovely maradona/evil genius and the self glorified General saint (Buhari). I know come 2015 PDP and its corrupt politicians will have the citizens to contend with at the election. Mark my words this is the beginning of the end for the party that is known to say they want to rule Nigeria for the next 50years. Yes the PDP led government will use all possible means to enforce this subsidy removal but then they would have planted the time bomb that will work against them in 2015. Political Revolution about to start!!! As for Jonathan "the masses friend" He has just betrayed everybody that laboured for him during the election to ensure the so called minority get to the sit of power. History will get the better part of him soon.

Complete Nonsense!

Tell your sponsors that no amount of blackmail will change the direction of government in the best interest of the majority.I have been following you on this blog an all i see is emotion, sentiments and hatred.

Not many of us will support your insults on the person of the president and will encourage your ill mission.

The Last Bastion

If Nigerians fail now, they fail forever.

Sack all sack-ables!

Fuel subsidy must stay

Deal with the waste and Looting in Government!!

CRY FREEDOM!!!

You are Wrong

Majority gave King Jonah the vote that brought him to power,he was not wedged into their throats, we most be clear on that.

While you prepared to unseat him in 2015 with your Buhari, don't also take away the fact that he is in power on the strength of the people.

WHEN BUHARI CRIED!

When Gen. Mohammadu Buhari cried on the eve of the April 2011 election. I knew it was a prophetic event. The man cried as he saw ahead what many Nigerians were too blinded by ethnicity and religious divide to see. He was mocked by many. Sadly, many that mocked agree now that it is the turn of the Nation to cry, and indeed the land is convulsing. At a time like this I can not but ponder on the most asinine cliche ever in the history of politics in Nigeria; "I voted GEJ not PDP" ...I know it is for a season. This too shall pass. God will yet comfort my land and grant her peace.

Where is the like button?

Wonder why Sahara Reporters doesn't have a like button on its news pages. I like this article.

Our internal oppressors took

Our internal oppressors took him for a little man because of the minorit-ness in the Ijaw man. They said with their majority ideas, we will flog that drunken sailor fisher man called GEJ to order. A year later, they are still wondering what hit them-the courts having once again proved little-mam buhari wrong-then somebody remninded them of what Deri once told them before the presidential elections-sponsored articles against GEJ dont win elections. Ideas sold at the grass root level do-If our interim presido shonekon, was able to increase the price of fuel without any wahala-what about GEJ-2 more days for christians to vamoose from the North acording to boko haram-cheers
