Mindset

There is a reason why Nigeria remains a joke and that is largely due to a lack of vision and creativity in governance as well as a shocking inability of the citizens to hold their leaders accountable. The saying: "People get the government they deserve" is so true for Nigerians have been led for decades by a variety of idiots because Nigerians chose to be led by idiots.

By our collective inability to challenge government, by allowing sellouts, by our "sidon look" attitude, & that general selfish tendency to only think of yourself; we have contributed to the decay. Our grandparents told our parents,"things will get better", then our parents told us "things will get better",now we are having to tell our children the same. The question: what have you done to ensure your children dont end up telling their children "things will get better".

reply to owuite

@ owuite,
You are the biggest fool for calling patriots fools. If you have a decent job in NYC, you shouldn`t be working more than forty hours a week. The protest was on Saturday.

GEJ is ALWAYS Wrong with timing

Ribadu or Buhari would have delivered more dividence but the power of incumbent or should I say Nigerians allowed geography to play on their mind.

MARK MY WORDS. THIS DEMONSTRATIONS (OCCUPY NIGERIA) WILL GIVE BIRTH TO SOMETHING BIGGER THAN US ALL, IF CARE IS NOT TAKEN, IT WILL BREAK US APART. A LOT IS BREWING UNDERGROUND. WE ARE SO FRAGMENTED AS A PEOPLE. w

When gas price returns to $65, will that means end of Boko Haram? end of corruption? end of mend? end of joblessness? inconsistent power supply?

God Bless Nigerians and I LOVE 1NIGERIA

Problem with GEJ is "Wrong Timing, Always"

GEJ does not know when to hit the nail on its heads, but when he does hit the nail on its head, it does so at a wrong time.

He always seems to pursue irrelevant agenda at the right time. First, he advocated for 1 term president (6 yrs)... instead of him to concentrated on putting lasting infrastructure in place. how will his 1 term agenda translate to job creation?

Now, he removed oil subsidy instead of him to concentrate on fighting corruption and smashing those oil cartels (oil criminals). He should have built refineries, revamp Kaddie and PH refineries b4 removing oil subsidy. GEJ always seem to work and implement on reverse gear. The professor is always thinking backwards. He surrounds himself with MORONS that can't differentiate nor have sense of times.

Lets take ethnicity out of the picture, GEJ is a bad leader with no sense of direction or leadership.

NIGERIA

The removal of petrol subsidy is not unnique to Nigeria. We seem to close our ears and perhaps eyes to hear and see the real issues that need protest-the wanton killing of inocent and defenseless people in northern nigeria by terrorists, the gross corruption in public office, and the huge cost of maintaining government/legislature, etc. Wake up!

You are the biggest fool

You are the biggest fool because if you have a decent job in NYC, you shouldn`t be working more than forty hours a week. The protest was on a Saturday. idiot.

Thanks A Bunch, SR

SR please continue posting these interesting pictures of protesters. We are studying these images very closely with the copies we've made. Soon we'd be able to put names to the faces and then...... the rest is ..... you know what they say.... history. Thanks a bunch for the service, SR.

INSINCERE!

Mr. Jonathan seems not to regard Nigerians at all. He has surrounded his negotiation team with THIEVES, FRAUDSTERS, LOOTERS, ELECTION RIGGERS such as Suswam and Akpabio i.e sheer insincere to Nigerians. Jonathan was happy when Tunde Bakare, Buhari & other politicians demonstrated that Jonathan should be sworn in when Yar Adua was sick. But now Jonathan & his cohorts are calling them hijackers of protest. The Lord by His grace will help us from this heartless corrupt federal and state governments.

Naija Style Abuse!

Chei...no one knows how to abuse/insult someone like Nigerians...this one in particular had me rolling with laughter "very stupid, bastard, idiot, monkey, pig, animal with human skin'! I can imagine the emphasis on every word, with mouth twisted and spittle flying out of the mouth as the person is pointing their finger and saying it! Hey! Ma Abasi!

Give Good luck a chance

On a personal note i believe that we can never achieve our dreams as a country without taking drastic decisions like the one our president have taken. We need to go hungry for a while to be in a better shape. Sometimes when you need something from God, u fast. So, let us give Goodluck a chance to bring out his plans. If after a period of two or one year, nothing happens then we can fight to Hell. Give GoodLuck Ebelle Azikiwe Johnathan GCFR a CHANCE.

stoopid animal do u no ho is dt perrsom DARE

Dare u are even mothern donkey on d sense.bastad monkey and pig

@deri

U sound like an illiterate....its not the matter of ethnicity but the dishonesty of our RULERS.

Sahara, please display

Sahara, please display pictures of other people and also the placrds. The pictures posted are of the same people again and again only from their personal cameras. It does not reflect all the people at the protest. I was at the protest. It was effective because drivers were slowing down to read the placardsand police did not want the FDR to be slowed down by drivers reading our placards. The placards were not even shown in this person`s collection. Sahara, please add more pictures and display the placards because the placrds are saying the messages we want the world to know about the sufferings of the masses in Nigeria and how a country rich in natural resourses should have an average Nigerian living on less than 1 dollar a day.

DERI IS A BASTARD

@Deri, its very obvious that you are a very crude illiterate. So wat happens when Badluck leaves in GEJ , a fulani man becomes the president and he now has access to "your" crude oil? wud we hav to reintroduce the subsidies so that you can enjoy your oil money?? mumu... ode!!!
the Jona that you are campaigning for doesn't send you from here to Adam... if you like, be deceiving yourself with ethnicity. Moron!!!

Deri you are very stupid,

Deri you are very stupid, bastard, idiot, monkey, pig, animal with human skin. Do u have gut to insult Yorubas and Fulanis, you better sit up otherwise we will come for u wherever you gorilla! Mtws

@deri................

Deri, u are very cracy and i think a little blood has zipped into ur brain such that u are always myopic in ur arquement.
May i ask u, What is the state of electricity supply and standard of living in Ghana, Cameroon and brazil? why not let us come together to condemn what is bad? even if u are being paid to act this way, remember ur children and children- children and i want u to know that whatever a man soweth he shall reap.
I rest my case.

What is Occupy Nigeria in New York

Nigerians to copy too much but like a bad photocopier the result is very poor. What is OccupyNigeria is a poor copy of the OccupyWall street protest. What are Nigerians protester in New York occupying?

OccupyWall street Started by the Canadian-based Adbusters Foundation,

Protesters targeted Wall Street because of the part it played in the economic crisis of 2008 which started the Great Recession. The protesters say that Wall Street recklessly and blatantly abused the credit default swap market, and that the instability of that market must have been known beforehand. They say that the guilty parties should be prosecuted.

What is OccupyNigeria about? Who lives here? Aliens? Come occupy now fools

its high time we

If poor men start their anger,,I'm sure rich men are not going to rest for a min. I should advice Nigerians that it's time to start killing those bad people in this country and I don't care if your father, husband or your wife is among them, we need to erase those bad people asap to teach others a big lesson.... But I think NLC should look at this issues because of those who rely on daily income...we are ready to fight and we are ready to kill those bad leaders...boys are not smiling.

haba deri

i'm really surprised at your comment, how soon do you forgot that that same oil well or the NNPC Was built with the proceeds of cash crops e.g groundnut from kano dala, cocoa, palm produce, cotton and the likes. 51years ago where were you? 51 years ago and beyond when the oil was not there our grand fathers survived it. Have a re think, and talk sense my brother. Keep sentiment aside.

U r a certified fool

Ewu, anu pama. You are a certified fool to even consider the thought of saying something like this. Guess you are not Nigerian ... So buzz of!

Jobless people in New york

Nigerians in New York say we are jobless that's why we have time to protest for somthing that has notting to do with our life in America, economically, some of us is about to be deported soon for no greencards

Oil Subsidy Removal

I appeal to Mr President to always reflect on how he got to Aso Rock. A good husband would swallow pride and ensure there is peace in his home. If a good husband does not see anything wrong in telling his wife and kids he is sorry just to ensure there is harmony in the family, why can't you just tell us you are sorry and reverse the price of petrol to N65 per litre. One thing is for sure we shall forgive you.

NO SYMPATHY, REMAINED ADAMANT

The president, does not feel the pains of the people bcos, he has neither sympathy nor empathy for the people. With all lives lost, he still remained adamant. He has forgotten that power lies with the people, the people you are vesting for says absolutely NO, why is he now crying more than the bereaved, if not that he has skeleton in his cupboard. Okonjo, Allison, Sanusi and other of your cohorts should stop pushing GEJ, if they are pushing GEJ, you ought to have reach the fence by now to react. Think deep!!!

Nigeria is not tibet

May be some of these 9jas think ours is like the case of Tibet at the UN with China! What we are supposed to be asking for is the courage to plead with them to assist us break up of the country. The Russians did not go through the UN to achieve that feat. If these ongoing protest has not got outside influence, would a sane nigerian who steals over 300b from his government, still have the guts to carry placards in the cold to call for the Libyan style murder of Gaddafi by Nato on their president? Simply because he comes from one of the minority areas of the country? Over an issue that Ghana , Cameron, Brazil equally introduced? Oil is from the the south south-the none oil producing states should also think of what they can give to the centre and not what they intend to steal from there-we have been feeding Nigeria with our oil resources for over 51yrs-enough is enough-let us say good bye to each other now! Nigeria does not belong to the Fulanis and Yorubas. It belongs to al of us.
