I definitely agree with you that the command structure of the security lies on the president.But you made it look as if the governors and the society don't have any role to play on security.To fight crime and terrorism it requires security hardware, intelligence and information.I have asked you about the security votes by governors, what is the essence of it? Yes the security is under the president, can the police/SSS work without information? My suspicion is that some northern politicians/governors knows the Boko Haram members,but can't work against them now because they used them.The governor of Abia state fought kidnapping using the state's police/military joint force, when it becomes tough he invited federal troop.But I have not seen such aggression from Northern governors.The role i want northern elders to play is not to fight Boko Haram because they do not have the capacity but to give out information to the security because these BH are living in their domain.
