PHOTONEWS: Labour Unions Protest Unemployment On "Africa Industrialization Day" In Abuja

 Worried by the decline and decay in the real sector of the economy, some labour unions today staged a protest at the National Assembly to mark "Africa Industrialisation Day". The union which comprises of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers Union,Woodwork and Civil Engineering Worker Union and Agriculture and Allied Workers Union marched with several colleagues.

  According to the group leader, Comrade Isa Aremu, the protest was informed by high level unemployment and dilapidation of  infrastructure  which they described as the bane of economic development and growth in Nigeria. Comrade Isa Aremu  is the Vice President of Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).

The protest is a welcome development if the Gvt will haerken to the voice of the people. The expertrait are many, they hv begin their authomated machine. In future there will be no work for Nigerians
