PHOTONEWS: Lagos Commercial Motorbike Operators Take Protest Against Ban To Court

I hope they achieve success in their protests.they can then come and visit tremx for accessorizing up their motorbikes

I hope their initiative will be successful. I once had a discussion with my friend Perry Belcher. I don't know the situation of the commercial motorbike operators very well, but I know enough to support them. I hope they'll solve the problem with the authorities, especially with the police.

It will be better we answer dis question befor concluding d later;is d roads on which okada banned from motorable?ie Apapa osodi xpressway n Badagry xpressway? People spend hours on dis route home dan smone travelln to Ibadan n d only quickest way home or to work is Okada! Govt shld solve their part of d problem b4 taking them off d road or else we might just be having more criminals in Lagos soon n dat one go pass issue of Boko Haram oh!

Why must okada be used as commercial transportation in Nigeria? Nigeria had been using the usual taxicabs until govt. decided to commission motorcycles as transportation mode. Is Nigeria moving forward or backward? And even when govt. stepped in, it empowered entrepreneurs to go for keke napep or whatever it is called. This shows that govt outlook to life in Nigeria is to push the citizens to primitive era! Please dismantle all these signs of primitivity and bring back taxicabs all over the nation. If govt wants to help it could grant loans to individuals and organizations willing to go into taxi business.

Are u in your senses at all by comparing Britain to Lagos,Is the level of development there synomynous with that of lagos,mind you,poverty,unemployment and inability to source adequate loan make all these people go to do okada business in the first place,I was in singapore,malaysia,hongkong,there are no okada riders(Commercial/business riders),but when you go to Nepal,Indonesia(which is far more developed than nigeria),Thailand (same as indonesia),myanmar,you will see okada business riders there,apart from that most of this countries have adequate infrastructure,power supply,which is not comparable to nigeria at all,the government sees it as another way of giving business opportunities to its people.What are the options available to lagos okada riders if they are banned permanently ?,nothing,they will go into armed robbery,kidnapping etc....Are u not aware that even graduates are involve in okada business ??

Those who are attacking Okada operators should do so constructively.If Okada riders attacked BRT Buses out of frustration that is totally wrong they should not take law into their hands.They should have gone to court first.

But the governor should know there is no job in Nigeria at the moment so these men that are self employed should be encouraged and trained on how to apply their business in a safe and effecient manner.
MR GOVERNOR HOW MANY JOBS HAVE YOU HELPED TO CREATE IN LAGOS STATE THIS YEAR?.MAYBE NON.

In London they allow tricycle to operate along side the double decker buses.Why not reform Okada business than scrapping them BRT BUSES are not into any competition with OKADA.

Nigeria is operating a free economy so people are free to use any means of transportation they deem fit that serve their purpose at any point in time.

It's refreshing to see citizens take advantage of our judicial system. I applaud the okada riders association for taking the legal option rather than embark on violence. Big up to u! Whether you will get justice is a different matter altogether.

THIS STUPID OKADA RIDERS HAS JUST DAMAGED 42 BRT BUSES & THEY ARE NOW GOING TO COURT,IN FACT THEY SHOULD BE ARRESTED IN THE COURT TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGES DONE TO THE PUBLIC PUBLIC PROPERTIES AND IF POSSIBLE SEND TO JAIL,WHILE THEY SHOULD BE TOTALY BANNED IN ALL THE ROUTES IN THE STATE

But okada is not in London and people live a sane life there. Is life not worth protecting? I know it will have an effect on those who make their living from there but the havoc and unnecessary deaths and pains Okada has caused is unimaginable. Lets slow down the eager of getting to our destination within minutes. Life worth more than a gamble so please lets imbibe good things that happen in other sane countries. How many Okada dey for London?
