PHOTONEWS: Lokoja-Abuja Road Cut Off By The Great Flood That Divided Nigeria

A series of photos released by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) shows the seriousness of flooding that devastated various parts of Nigeria during this raining season. Some 2 million Nigerians have been displaced from their homes while some have died or gone missing as a result of the ravaging flood.

The most striking aspect of the flooding happened on the ever-busy Abuja-Lokoja highway where for close to one week now, the key highway linking northern Nigeria to the rest of the south, generally the Southwest has been submerged under water causing traffic delays that have lasted days.

GOD WILL SPEAK PEACE IN NIGERIA wether d devil likes it or Not!

May God have mercy on our country and grant our Land rest. It was d cause of evil all d evils that are being done in our country. God is showing every Nigerian a sign of His second coming. So my fellow Nigerians, let us repent out of our sins and turn to christ, the author and finisher of our faith. It shall be well with us but matter of time. God is d owner of Nigeria therefore, no chance 4 d devil and his little agents

Nigerians......

Instead of praying u are talking like a senseless person. Do u think God is human that he will divide what he made? Pls if u don't have anything to contribute to the progress of the nation just don't say anything.

No wonder you are ruled by a moron.

Foolish Nigerians so much believe in nonsensical beliefs no wonder they vote for wrong reasons.

So to some morons, the flood shows how Nigeria wants to be divided ?

natural disaster

this is just one of the many results of climate change. as we have treated our environment indiscriminately in time past, it is about time we reap the fruits of our labour.
the erosion in the east, flood in the west,, drying of of lake chad, overflow of the Niger, reduction in volume of the Benue, all these are a rusultant effect of climate change and global warming. and we are the cause of it all!

Why Ibos are so keen on dividing the country...

Because it will be easier for them to terrorise people in a smaller piece of land. I think majority of those talking about this division among them are bitter people, because they lost the war. The first time, they wanted a divide, they announced Biafra. Next thing you saw was ECN ivading Midwest, enroute Lagos. Is that the division they mean again now? The best thing is to cede Iboland to Cameroun. Chikena.

this is a sign that Nigeria

this is a sign that Nigeria is heading for a breakup in the near future since our so called leaders cannot do it natural disaster will help us to full it.

POOR MAN DEY SUFFER, MONKEY DE WORK, BABOON DE CHOP

THE FLOODING WAS CAUSED BY THE RELEASE OF THE GATES OF A WATER DAM IN CAMEROON.
AMPLE WARNINGS WERE GIVEN BY CAMEROONIAN GOVT TO NIGERIA BUT AS USUAL AND WITH THE LAID BACK ATTITUDE OF OUR LEADERS, NOTHING WAS DONE AS A PREMPTIVE MEASURE NOW THE PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING WHILE THE BUSHWALS ARE FLYING ALL OVER THE PLACE.

THE RETURN AND PARDON OF ARIK AIR IS MAINLY TO SERVICE THE FLYING WHIMS OF THE BUSHWALS SINCE THEY DONT USE THE ROAD NETWORK SO WETIN CONCERN THEM IF THE ABUJA - LOKOJA ROAD IS BLOCKED?

Leaders???

Looking at these, puts a big shame on the quality of leaders in Nigeria. The rulers past and present, should bury there head in shame, no matter how wealthy he or she might be. How can you face somebody and boastfully say, you ruled or a ruler of a country water logged like this, where is the LOVE. Some of this rulers parade all over the world with so much ill-gotten wealth, remember 'Love thy neighbour as thyself'
We are all the children of God, but wealth meant for all, is stolen by a few for selfish reasons, ask yourself, 'ARE YOU HAPPY'? God wants us to be happy, that is why He provided us this natural resources, stolen by a few greedy fellow brothers and sisters, where is the LOVE?

The dredging of the river

The dredging of the river niger was
awarded as contract to some so called
contractors who did nt complete the
job 4 wot I don't knw if it is lack

u re a useless fool. wen

u re a useless fool. wen flood happened in Ibadan, little frick, was it a sign of division. Think very well wit ur fish brain

The beginning of the great division

When frogs and toads started moving towards a particular director shortly before the Sunanmi, nobody knew that the frogs have sensed what was going to happen few days ahead.
Nigeria has never been so divided as the River Niger has done this year. This is a natural sign of the division of Nigeria. And if you must know, the region where the river divided the road is actully where the region of the Southern States end. Okene must go with the Abokis anyway. I pray it happens soonest
May God hear prayers.

Devine providence - God wants it too-divide this damn country!!!

Even God and nature are helping us to divide this damn country. Chop it down and keep it like that please.!!!!

IS THE FLOOD A SIGN TO NIGERIAN? HOW THEY WILL BE DIVIDED

Nigerians becareful as the writing on the wall is in the road to your Federal Capital. The cutting of Abuja road by flood. Is it cutting Nigeria? Hmmm oh men on their own. oh men of their own will becareful for every day for a thief and one day for the owner. The flood can be changed to become the flow of blood of the leaders of corruption in Nigeria who will die for Nigeria to be a nation of equal right.
