PHOTONEWS: Occupy Nigeria Solidarity Protests Hit World Bank Headquarters In Washington DC
The "occupy Nigeria, protest train took off from McPherson Park in Washington DC marching through the White House ground before settling to an ivasion of the World Bank Hq in Washington DC.
Too much deceit
The deceit in Nigeria is too much. There should be a genuine election where Nigerians will choose the person that will rule them. If he does not perform, the person can be impeached. Nigerians should stop selling their votes and suffering. We should stop sentiment. Most people are using it to enrich themselves. If the economy of the country is developed, it will be for the good of every Nigerian.

solidarity is standing all together for one purpose. As in a group united together for a cause. Check this site at www.skilch.com it helps you to find more information.

subsidy is not Nigeria problem but CORRUPTION
My Advice;
6. The fight against corruption and corrupt practises should be of paramont important to the government. ICPC and EFCC should be empowered to fight corruption to finish in Nigeria. As such a responsible, incorruptible and detribalised Nigerian (like Dr Angulu and Nuhu Ribadu) should be appointed as Chairmen of the two anti graft agencies. ICPC and EFCC without further delay and should be given free hands to operate.
7. Government to fish out the so called Gboko Harams and even the cabal in the oil sector and deal with them in accordance with the law of the land.
8. More refinaries should be build by government if possible in collaboration with private institutions in Nigeria and the old refinaries be repaired to work to the full capacity.
9. Out of 36 minirals in the world, Nigeria has 34. Government should look into other minirals resourcers like Biitumen, lead, cooper, lime stone etc
subsidy is not Nigeria problem but CORRUPTION
Come to the issue of fuel subsidy remover. there are so many sources of revenue generation in Nigeria. if Jonathan claimed that Nigeria is broke why not force Chevron and all oil companies in Nigeria to pay their Taxes. for example Chevron is owing Nigeria Tax to the tune of over One Trillion Dollas, is that not enough to Develop a Nation like Nigeria? Why is Jonathan causing more harm to the good people of Nigeria who voted him into power? why the fuel increase?
My Advice;
1. All political office holder should be paid in accordance with the Civil Service Rule.
2. There should be Transparency and Accountability in governance.
3. There should be adequate room for checks and balances in governance.
4. There should be Justice, Fearness, Equity and respect for the rule of law.
5. the fuel should go back to N65 to allow peace to raign in the country.
Jonathan is Corrupt and can not Lead Nigerians
A large amount of Nigeria revenue is lost to corruption and Jonathan government is doing nothing about it. Now the two Institutions set up to fight corruption in Nigeria has been paralized by Jonathan and his cabal because they are corrupt. for examples, for over a year now ICPC Independent Corrupt Practises Commission has no Chairman. The man that was there before Dr Angulu was removed as a result of his refusal to drop the N6.5 Billion probe of Administrator of National Judicial Institute (NJI) Justice Umaru Ali Eri Rtd in March 2011 and some other top gevernment officials for alleged corruption, e.g Attorney General & Minister of Justice Bello Adoke. Now these corrupt people are still in Jonathan government.
Your view that the President
Your view that the President be given a chance is rather subjective. In the past leaders have always said that the subsidy removal will be invested to the good of all. This have not been the case.
Secondly, they are not even talking about repairing the available refineries, talk less of building a new one. What we need is for the refining of the productr that we produce rather that buying refined product from other countries. Let the refineries work and let us produce for local consumption before thinkinh of exporting.
Thirdly, the cost of running this particular government is too high and they should cut down the expenses.
We can go on and on.
On why there's no protest in
On why there's no protest in South east, please do not generalise for Igbos, it is obvious that igbos are in their villages for christmas and are yet to return or mobilise in their cities before this subsidy stuff began. On bokoharam, the group has one thing in common - they share same religion and their objective is to Islamise the North. It's clear to every Nigerian what boko haram stands for and where it originated from, so don't drag Igbo men into it. Besides nobody is thinking of dividing any country so mind your language and stop being emotional.....

WHY IGBOS AREN'T PROTESTING
I'm not shocked that Igbo's are not protesting, the reason is simple and logical. It's holiday period in the east and most people are in their villages, so it is pretty difficult to mobilise against the government as communication and road networks are poor in the hamlets.
Secondly, the Igbo's have just lost a renowned leader Ojukwu and are disenchanted by the politics of this Nation at the moment.
However, a significant population of Igbos who are in Lagos are protesting. So please let no one generalise for Igbos, in Igbo land everyman is entitled to his opinion.

Fellow countrymen, please
Fellow countrymen, please lets give President Jonathan the benefit of a doubt that he is cutting the oil subsidy in the interest of our nation. If we insist on N65/liter, we are behaving like the prodical that squanders his inheritance. Let us stop the dolling out of our oil and wealth to nations who dont need it as much as we do. GOD BLESS NIGERIA! & GOD BLESS OUR SINCERE LEADERS. AMEN.
u have a point but I believe
u have a point but I believe you could deliver this without abuse.

All we just ve to do is to pray for our dying country called Nigeria.... Pray for the leaders and also the president, he can't lead the country with his strength, he need God's direction...... No need to complain to man again, no need for fighting, no need for bomb blast, we are one..... Rather!! Go to GOD in prayer.... Jesus is the answer for the world today**** God bless u........

Occupy Nigeria: This is the right time to reject this corruption
We Nigerians must sit up and reject any attempt to continue to take us to the drain. We have suffered enough, we must stand up now for our future generations. We must carry on no matter what it takes becaouse if its not now, then it will never happen. This corupt and insensitive regime must go!!! The time is here!!!
DE-LINKING
I agreed with the an inscription on of the placard that WORLD BANK should get out of Nigeria. May be they are that encouraged our of ruling elites to ruined the refineries, that they are now running at less than 30% installed capacity.
We are running a system without our cultural influences and spiritual values. For me until we De-linked and make cultural values to bear will continuing groping in the dark, whether those 'occupying' Nigeria "succeed" in their SUBTLE to replace to GEJ.
Transformation should continue until we attain NATIONHOOD, WHERE SHARED VALUES, VISION GLUED US TOGETHER. The AMALGAM is fast crumbling. My support for Jonathan is unquantified, but we have to work on the MODALITIES of direct subsidy to productive ventures and social causes

Those critics of Mr.President should look beyond their nose and think well before rushing into any conclusion.Jonathan subsidy removal policy remains the best for Nigerians let it Go ahead.
Critics also remember to thank him when you start reaping the benefits of his policies.
President jonathan remains the best.
People who criticize the fuel subsidy removal shouid stop using the GSM because it is a product of liberalization.Goodluck's policy remains the best for nigerians.I like the removal of subsidy because it is a price i have to pay for myself and offsprings. Why did labour not protested when chrictians are killed in the North.Life is more inportant than subsidy,Igbos are killed in the North what did labour do?Igbs are we slaves in this country?Let us supporet the Good plans Goodluck has for us pls.Sahara repoters pls publish my comments if you are not one sided.
