PHOTONEWS: Rogue Bankers With Attitude And Swagger
Rogue bankers, Francis Atuche, Okey Nwosu and Atuche's wife, Elizabeth, are giving power fives, knuckle bump, handshakes and pats. These financial rogues are getting emboldened during their court appearances these days.

You obviously have a solid grasp of the topics everyone is searching for on this site anyways and you could maybe even earn a buck or three from some offers. I would explore following recent trends and raising the volume of blog posts you make and I guarantee youd start getting some easy traffic soon. Just a thought, good luck regardless!

OMG, what stupid idiots! How can you be labelled a thief and have a big smile on your face? i would bury my head in shame. What would your children think of you. How disgusting.Dispicable. No remorse. Bet you if they put Atuche and his dumb bell wife in PHB again, they would steal double. People are hungry, staff were sacked, and these idiots were buying choice properties in London.Feel like giving Okey Nwosu a dirty slap. Complete idiots
Which Law?
Which law are you talking about? I hope not same law that sent bode george to few months imprisonment & still kept the stolen fund to himself. The President & his cohorts are armrobbers yet the law did nothing to nail them. If truly law exist in this country, we need to make the likes of OBJ,IBB,IBORI etc a scape goat, then we can now take legal law seriously.

Innocent until proven Guilty
Given the fact that professional malpractice/misconduct perpetrators are passed off, in this case as financial, wizzkids. Least we forget they are also a product of the society that values the size of a man's pocket above his abilities, productivity or contribution to society. We need to have deterrents with teeth, even if they are found not guilty.
However, I am tempted to ask, if the charges are criminal, why are they not in handcuffs? Think Madoff, Kenneth Lay & Jeff Skilling of Enron, The Galleon Hedge fund Manager, Raj Rajaratnam etc. (no power handshakes). See www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13369537
However, lets also try to avoid trial by media as they are innocent until proven guilty.
Please, before calling them
Please, before calling them names ask yourself, which way(s) am I better than them? if I have the same opportunity will I act otherwise? Am I a patriotic Nigerian? Do I jump ques and think those I met there are not smart? It is said that those SINS we commit, we pardon and make excuses and those we do not commit we CONDEMN I have a feeling you are not better, search your conscience.
Pls, readers try and compare
Pls, readers try and compare these pics with that of DSK. The difference is clear. They knew nothing will happen, if it was in china, nobody dare come near them not to talk of smiles and heavy hand shake. This is Nigeria where thieves and agberos are celebrated.
Well,I think, this name
Well,I think, this name calling should stop forthwith. The opposition fighting organ of the Fed Govt. in the guise of anti-corruption bodies; the EFCC and ICPC, pretended not to be around when these thieves called politicians rolled out their armoury, full of money during the PDP presidential primaries for delegates and buying of votes that characterized the last general election, but to be chasing shadows now, in the name of fighting corrupting. I call on these anti-corruption body, esply, EFCC, not to make a mountain out of a mole hill, and SR, don't preempt the judiciary with name calling yet, until proven otherwise. God bless NIGERIA
It's sad, so sad...I see that
It's sad, so sad...I see that a lot of commentators here are not abreast with issues in the Nigerian banking system. As a banker, and to any banker, especially those based in Lagos, Atuche deserves what he now gets. BankPHB was a cesspool of unbridled corruption- from treasury, branch operations, internal control, procurement/estate/properties, branch development, IT, human resources, development/licencing of foreign/African subsidiaries, etc, it was a bazaar when Atuche was CEO...Guys, ask your banker friends, especially those in Lagos, they'd tell you. Even PHB people never hid this stealing under Atuche. It was that BAAAAAAD...If in doubt again, ask their ex-staff members (who resigned before or after Atuche's sack)...
look why concentrate on
look why concentrate on people like him .Most people that know him and worked for him know his good side and bad side.True he was no angel but he is still better than a lot of md's that were cleared by CBN.So why pick on some and let others work around like angels. This case is like when people said probe IBB and EFCC said the public should bring evidence .
IGNORANT
so she looks innocent coz she's wearing what you think are cheap clothes and no jewellery and makeup >>> what a stupid ignorant fool u are .... if u shine ur eye well well and know ur stuff , she is wearing a Anne Klein shirt that costs no less than £ 200.00 in their Slone Street shop in London .. That innocuous looking skirt suit is designer ( from the cut at least ) and I can tell you , it aint cheap ... the loafers are not your everyday cheap shoes but are made by Chanel ... Pls dont be fooled and dont talk about what u dont know ... She was a major launderer of the loot ... just check all the properties bought in her name in London >>> google her name in the UK and the States U use her maiden name as well ) and also check out UK land registry records !!!! or perhaps u are in love with a married woman by the picture that seems to have fried the small brain you have !!!
Sail on brodas
From the way they are smiling this men can be qualified as pirates that loot without mercy
Many of you saying the guys
Many of you saying the guys dont look sorrowful, have you also considered the fact that these guys maybe innocent after all? Maybe this explains away their confidence. Nigeria has always been a good example of everything that is wrong with black people and humans in general. If we have a good justice system, I would believe the outcome of the court would be credible. But EFCC arraigning these guys are neck deep in corruption. We shall see where this ends.
Let us call a spade its true name: A SPADE!
Back to our roots dipping in the till, that is, helping oneself to public funds, is STEALING because one is taking what does not belong to one. The perpetrators know this fact and that is why they devise all sorts of tricks and cover to effect the shameful act. In most traditional societies this shameful act is held in abhorence and the perpetrators are ostracised. We shouldn't forget we all come from different traditional societies!
Therefore it is really galling that these suspects are walking with pride and associated swagger over a shameful act. Even though they have not been convicted nobody can just say that they are being framed; framed for what? Evidence must have been collected before they were arrested!
It is unfortunate that stealing has risen to a celebrity status in Nigeria; very, very unfortunate!
Why The Hate?
I have not pity for these guys if truely they are guilty. But the only problem i have is why Mrs. Atuche is being put on trial along with her husband. Since when did we start having ''family charge''? In that case, why was the husband of Cecilia Ibru not put on trial with her?hhmmmmmmm....i wonder?
Its all they got left!!!! So
Its all they got left!!!!
So sad for them to be even arraigned, its a lose of confidence in the people of authority.......
Apparently SR has already put
Apparently SR has already put them on trial and found them guilty, hence the "rogue" brand. Ok, sarcasm aside, if there's any trust in the justice system, and if the EFCC has been diligent in it's investigation and is confident in it's case against these bankers, why not let things play out in court BEFORE the "rogue" pronouncement? If there's preponderance of evidence that they intentionally mismanaged their banks, there may be grounds for some form of conviction. All this is yet to be seen--none of you naysayers, not even SR, has seen or can provide any evidence. Maybe the EFCC, via Sanusi and the CBN, has all the evidence; then let the whole thing play out in court. If the bankers are somehow found guilty, rest assured that there will hell to pay in form of libel lawsuits against all the newspapers that have forged ahead to persecute without proof.

Hey,pls let's be civilize, until proven otherwise by a competent court of law no one has the right to call them rogues.ok
stop these mese
stop judging these people until court pass it judgment.
Neither here nor there, Innocent Until Proven Guilty
I am all for justice but do not think mob lynching is the way forward. Until these men and lady are proven guilty, then we should observe decorum. When they are pronounced guilty and sentenced properly to reflect the weight of their offences, then I will volunnteer to pull the trigger if that is the sentence. Nigerians should resisit the urge to join the abusive bandwagon before judgement is passed because we all know both our prosecution and legal system are nothing to write home about and can be abused by any rich man or politician.
Enough said, it could be yours or my turn tommorow to be wrongly accused and am sure we would hope for proper justice before sentencing.
All Nig banks operate d same way
My question still is "is this rot and corruption in the banking sector limited to only these 5 banks?" To my best of knowledge, all d banks in Nig practise almost d same way and they use almost d same template to operate. Has anybody heard anything recently about Billions of Naira unsuspected Nigerains paid into various a/cs of 'wonder bank' operators about 6yrs ago. The banks involved incl. 1st bank, uba, gtb etc but nobody/cbn is saying anything about d money even d so called wonder bank operators do not have access to that fund. without deceiving ourselves, 99% of Nig banks and bankers is stinkingly corrupt. Let d search light go further & deeper
Hmm!
"As a former banker, I am acquitted with the rudiments of financial/investment transactions culminating in the whole mess they caused their various banks and individuals.
Basically they transact, trade and make profit in a fictious (fictitious), farcacious (maybe ferocious or fallacious) and illusorous (illustrious i think) vacuum of paper works". So, you are one of them. You must have aided them in the "crime" so you should be charged with aiding and abetting. Anyway na your salary you dey collect.
On a more serious note, i think SR should still shield their sword by stopping this name calling until proven guilty by a competent court of law.
