Today in Madonna University, immorality, bribery and corruption of different kinds are the order of the day. Now in the school students dont need to read in order to pass their exams but just have enough money to pay their way through, or as a beautiful female student just be willing to accept the the offer of the lecturers who are now forcing innocent female students to have sex with them in their offices.

well as for what u said that madonna university is a good shcool.in terms of the students some are good and some bad.the issue of serving the school is very much true there is no lie about that and also no freedom at al.u may like the schol,but the truth is very clear to all who can reason it is a very bad shcool and bad luck for nigeria as a whole

Madona is just the worst thing i can say that has happened to education in nija,first the students dont have freedom, the dont use camera phones in school ,no student union even the school security has the right to come into the hostel and search your box, the school fees are been increased every day. Tell me a school in nija where they pay 630,000 as school fees? 4 a year, do we consider the parents at all? All the bad statements about Madonna University is true . I am one time a staff of Madonna University . The Graduates serving the University is true. If you say Madonna University is good why dont you graduates come back to Madanna university for your post graduate programmes just like some of your staff are currently doing there masters and Phd programme in htere first degree university of graduation. If you say madonna is good, why do the chancellor approve and signs the transcript of the undergraduates students rather than the Deputy Registrar Mr Vincent at Elele. You are in biochemistry and i no Philliper your HOD should have told you serving Madonna your dept is not inclusive. Finally, go to registry office at take count of files not cleared by old students i believe Mr Clatus Udochukwu the record officer will give the opportunity you will no the number of extra year students of Madonna. But why i dont listing to Madonnna students is the same students that will report a staff to the chancellor for sack even when you are happening them to graduate. Madonna students learn how to respect your staff like students of other university .Thanks.

From the above comment I doubt if the author is a student of Madonna University as he/she claims. I am a graduate of biochemistry and am currently serving at Ahoda in Rivers State. I hate it when people having been given the opportunity to visit some sites and make useful comments that can be of great help to the society, and then uses that as a chance to feed the public with lies and fake information. First the person John Edozie is not a student or graduate of the great Madonna University or the class he/she claims to be, at least I am one student that knows all the students in my class and some in the department. The statements made here by the so called John Edozie and other commentators are all false. The statements here just out of malice and not based on fact, first my HOD has a lodge at the Senior Staff quarters where he stays alone in a flat (well furnished). Madonna University is one institution I have that sees her staff has full partners of the organization and not just employees that is why the staff stay in the institution for long and not want go for any reason. To be frank I am proud to be associated with Madonna University because today even among my fellow croppers I am always seen as a distinguished corps member. The things the author said were baseless and the figures he presented never represented anything that has ever obtained in the Madonna University.

It is quite unfortunate that some of us (graduates in medicine and surgery) have failed to stand gentlemanly to the agreement we reached with our great institution during our first year (100 level) to serve the university upon remuneration after graduation which led to reduced school fees.
The author of the above article, who claimed to have acted on behalf of concerned students, would have better allowed us (the students) to tell our stories by ourselves. It is true that anybody could decry evil and injustice whenever they are notice but it is unfair to do evil and perpetrate injustice, hiding under the guise of contrasting them. The action of the author, do therefore, clearly depicts his bad intention for us graduates, our great alma mater and great founder.
I do therefore, advice the author to refrain from further tarnishing the image of a great institution, Madonna University and its founder, Fr. Edeh. I also urge anybody (including the author) to shut up the mouth when he/she has nothing to say.

Freedom of speech is not freedom of abuse. It will be good if people face issues and leave the persons. I do not know the Father Edeh in person, but i don't think it is worth it condenming his personality on the web, it is defermation you know. This is a site for constructive criticism and not for abusing reputable personalities, lets re-think fellow Nigerian, and stop selling and killing our people to the world.

Mine is to reply John Iteshi on the issue at hand. Please don't blame those who decide to remain anonymous because this country is not safe and I tell you Fr. Edeh is into everything including kidnapping. He is simply diabolic and NOT A MAN OF GOD. I know my mother will never agree but anybody that has ever worked for him cannot say anything good about him. If you want to know who he is, then talk to anybody working or schooling there IN CAMERA (because if not in camera, trust human beings). There is nobody that is working there that is happy. He uses his juju to make people see him as a saint but when you get there, the reverse would be the case. I am an ex-staff and I know he is EVIL. The service thing is not even a crime compared to litany of atrocities he has been committing, believe it or not. The problem with this country is that people are hungry and so when you send a team of detectives to verify anything, possibly to bring the culprit to book, somebody like Fr Edeh is a guru in bribery. He can pay them a million each and you won't hear anything. NUC people can attest to this if we want to tell ourselves the truth. Honestly, since I was born I have never seen anything like Fr Edeh, believe it or not, he is evil.

Second, it's baffling that some folks could actually imply that the status of an institution as a private school confers on them sufficiently freedom to act as they please. The fact that your school is private does not exclude you from the basic duties you have towards your students and staff. This is a grievous matter! But the greater blame should go to the parents that take this sitting down. There are many ways to proceed; the court being the first point of call. There are also professional bodies like NMA, PCN...that regulate these professions...NYSC(???) too.
If the institution doesn't have enough courtesy and discretion to treat the students as human beings...it should close down its business. Such stipulation and condition for award of degrees is inhuman. It breeds from a malicious intent to enslave and to rob. Salients points have also been raised about the quality of training at the school...All these should be brought to a court of law. But the parents, and even more, the students and alumni of the school should stand up for their rights and fight this beast to a stand still.
But the guys that keep excusing such inhumanity on private ownership should please shut up or tell us plainly whose interest you serve.

Madonna University is a horrible fraud and an assault on what the University stands for. It is simply an expression of Fr Edeh's unquenchable passion for wealth and women which he satisfies by charging incredibly high fees and at the same time going to lie in the United States to groups and individuals that he runs a university for the indigent on charity. This way he nets fantastic donations which he uses to expand his business empire. Some of the popular business interests includes a leather factory in Italy, Mayfresh bank,Gold transport, filling stations uncountable number of secondary schools, polytechnic, a university at Emene and another one he is presently building at Akpugo his home town.As if this is not enough he comes back to unleash his riotous libido on the young female students. His preference is usually the light skinned girls. It is common knowledge within the campus that he gets the girls to swear an oath of secrecy about their affairs with him while he doles out handsome settlement to them . Parents and those who are blinded by looking at his miracle performing posturing would not believe this, but I am not here to convince anybody but to alert the Nigerian public over the massive fraud that goes on as a university in the name of either Madonna or Caritas or whatever. Fr Edeh has no time or commitment to good education. All he cares about is money. The unfortunate thing about this man's avarice is that he is using it to kill education and parents are deceived into believing that Madonna University is a source of moral training for their children. Its quite unfortunate. If you go close enough to the system at okija and see how Fr Edeh's women, particularly one "sister" Purissima who belongs to the harem of "sisters" of jesus the saviour ride it roughshod on lecturers and even the vice chancellor you will demand for nothing less than a total closure of that that scandal called Madonna university.At Elele it used to be one "Sister" Veritas at whose command everybody bowed including the Deputy Vice chancellor there.How can one rationalise compulsory service to a university where parents had paid unjustifiably high fees to train the graduates? National Universities Commission are surely aware of this.The hierarchy in the Catholic church should no longer feign aloofness over this matter. A stitch in time saves nine. I studied in the school for some months before i ran for my dear life..and i can tell u that all these allegations are very true...of course,you can't expect to read negative comments about the school on wikipedia....FYI...i learnt the catholic community does not acknowledge him as a reverend father anymore..the guy is just too stubborn.
As at the time i was studying there,he had this long cane..taller than himself that he carries around,and he even uses it to hit his VC if the man does what he doesn't like.(and i'm talking about a grown man old enuf to be my dad,his wife was also working with the school then)..
So,reading this article,...i sooo believe its what the man is capable of doing.
Yes..he is not the VC..he is the founder of the school.make more researches from students that studied there and they will tell you the same thing...

I actually started reading your comment hoping to see concrete stuff that would rubbish all the negative comments about the university and Fr Edeh but you totally killed it by stating your research on this matter was done via visiting the university's website and wikipaedia. First of all, wikipaedia is NOT a credible source of info because the articles are written by anybody. Secondly, browsing the university's website hoping to dig up dirt against the the same university...or fr edeh isn't going to earn you a promotion in detective school. I do not know the man..or what goes on in his university but if the students themselves that studied under him have such negative things to say then there is a possibility that all isn't well in that institution...i'm just sayin'.
