Fake Award to Gov. Lamido- Nigeria: Amnesty International disclaimer

On Friday 29 January 2010, Daily Triumph newspaper in Nigeria reported that Amnesty International presented an award ‘Icon of Human Right in Nigeria 2009’ to Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido. Amnesty International would like to stress that any awards given by “Amnesty International” have not been authorized by the organization and should therefore not be attributed to Amnesty International.
 
Amnesty International does not have an office in Nigeria, nor any representatives authorized to speak on behalf of the organization in Nigeria. At the moment, the organization does not have any membership groups in Nigeria. As such, Amnesty International does not accept responsibility for the content of any message, statement or report issued by “Amnesty International Nigeria.”

Like all things nigeria this clown must have thought this award is possible as long as he was willing to dole out some huge ammount of tax payers' money

Lamido doesnt not at all deserve to be honoured with any of these kind of awards and if unfortunately honoured/given it is for political maneuver not based on merits or contribution to his people and nation at large.

In the country of the blind, one eye man is a king. If sule lamido is really working to improve the welfare of his people, he does not need a fraudulent or fake Amnesty international to give him a prize. The quest for all these fake awards is to fulfil the void created by their failure to meet the needs of the people. Fake organization awards a fake prize to a fake governor, the circle of fakeness is complete. Nigeria, we hail thee!
