some people are so myopic, so moronic in thinking, so pathetically unreasonable,so hopelessly senseless,u wonder with what they used to think or reason. What has the crisis in NNN got to do with Islam, business in the north, dangote's business in Lagos, illetracy in the north, northern governors and boko haram,et al. Sentiments seems to becloud their sense of reason completely.

The Northerners are jokers,look at Nigeria and the North after how many years of ruling - their people and society remains backward with no development - all they can show is dirty almajiri children begging and nonentities always willing to fight - kill - rape and maim, even Dangote would not set up business in the north. The newspaper has long lost it's voice,and sold it's truth to the governors of the North to the detriment of the whole Nigerians.As long as I know it gives old news which have been read from other dailies, Shame on the workers and shame on the governors.

What has GEJ got to do with the closing down of a failed northern newspaper. We read how some of the governors in the North, allegedly spend billions of naira to feed almajiris on sallah days instead of investing such in projects that can help turn the lives of their people around. Sad they cannot pull their resources together to keep their establishments and the workers going in NN. We have Odua investment becoming stronger daily, in spite of the global economic situation. Yes Gov have no business investing money in these firms, but we have also seen companies in europe and america go down the hammer because of mismanagement. The main issue here is about the Northern Gov working to protect and improve on their investments and not call for the establsihment of Islamic bank. Simply because the Saudis, Kuwaitis and the south africans have one. we need resource control period.

My solution to NN newspapers problem: Jonathan must totally seize power so as to decree 20 more states in the north in addition to the existing 19. This way there mey flow more oil revenues to the northern governors to address the problems of New Nigeria. But how can a newspaper survive if few people read it?

I thought Muhammad Abdullahi who knows how to whip northern and Islamic sentiments would have come to their rescue. Northern Nigeria has never been known for any sustainable good thing so I am not surprised that 19 Governors can not sustain a newspaper house. If there was money to be looted from the newspaper company, you would have seen them killing themselves over it. Give that company to one southerner and in 6-months he will revive it, but let an Hausa/Fulani take over and the place will go bankrupt the next day. For your information, Nigerian Tribune is the oldest surviving Nigerian newspaper.I should think a paper founded in 1948 is supposed to be older than the one founded in 1964/65. It is not a matter of triviality,I'm just stating a fact.
