Please readers, don't be angry, are we saying outside of oil there are no other resources? This paper does not seem to present a patriotic view of our national stability, but selfish political position of how to continue manipulating a system that does not seem to have the basic structures of check and balance. The issue of indigeneship could have been better presented. By the way it is presented, everybody will simply want to be born where there are natural resources like most people does by going to the US to be born to be an indigene. This cannot help us. We can create a more robust structure that will make a person who had lived and worked in a place contributing to the economic growth of that place within a given period to have all the right and privileges of an indigene. The proposals therein seem very good and quite astute. Unfortunately putting them into practice is the problem. As far as I am concerned, ACF can go to. These Hausa/foolani idots think that they can hold Nigeria to a ransom objecting to any useful and meaningful efforts to move the country forward. They won't agree to true federalism, they won't agree to state police, they won't agree to resource control, they wont agree to the creation of more states in the Southeast, they won't agree to devolve power away from the center to the regions instead of concentarting it at the center, they won't even agree to rotate the presidency according to the six zones. The only thing they will agree on is to wrest the control of oil revenue from the South to theselves. They won't even agree to fight their Boko Haram, or have Boko Haram be designated as "a terrorist organization" and yet they blame the president for the continued meyhem caused by Boko Haram. Again, I say, go to hell ACF.

The ACF said there was nothing wrong in the present structure of the country; all that was required was balance of central authority with state level power! The narrow-minded reasoning of the ACF has one explanation,the blind lust for oil and gas dollars which they have gotten used to within the last 40 years.I do not know of any southerner who would feel free and safe to live and work up north,no matter how law-abiding one maybe,chances are that the next massacre will take your life and destroy your business or you may get blown up if you attend worship as a Christian,this is the unpleasant reality,and an inconvenient truth for an ACF in denial.
The north has been part of Nigeria sharing the same laws since amalgamation(1914) but recently found it necessary to adopt a different justice dispensation system in a fit of self determination.The same north is resisting attempts by other regions to shape their future within Nigeria,this paradox will form the basis for violent disintegration.

The Road Map has a robust dose of relevance and streaks of genuine commitment to finding enduring answers to nagging national problems.
However, its silence on the plight of minority groups within specific state structures is a serious limitation.
