Anarchy In Rivers State: Speaker Amachree Alleges Plan To Kill Governor Amaechi

Gov. Rotimi Amachi
By SaharaReporters, New York

There are strong indications that the Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, legislators and prominent government officials in Rivers State may be assassinated, the Speaker of the House of Assembly said today, pleading for the removal of the Commissioner of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu.

Making the allegation in an open letter sent to President Goodluck Jonathan, Otelemaba Dan Amachree said that the situation in Rivers State has reached a fever-pitch, disclosing that the assassination scheme follows a series of reported nocturnal meetings held in a neighboring State and Abuja.

“The situation is exacerbated with the planned release, from detention, of 18 notable robbery and kidnap kingpins currently in custody to carry out this planned mayhem on the government officials and innocent citizens and residents of the state.”

He expressed alarm about the planned withdrawal of security personnel attached to various State government establishments and officials, especially those of Governor Amaechi, the Rivers State House of Assembly, the Ministries and the local government councils, noting that a test run has been executed with the withdrawal of police from the Okirika Local government council by Mr. Mbu.

Mr. Amachree recalled that on April 30, he alerted the country to the cunning collapse of security apparatus in the state by a group of persons spearheaded by Mr. Jonathan’s Minister of State for Education in connivance with Mr. Mbu and others, intended to orchestrate breakdown of law and order that would lead to the declaration of a state of Emergency.

“We fear for the survival of our democratic structures and the freedom to carry out our legitimate legislative duties have been greatly hindered and interrupted,” he said.  “We make bold to say that we now live in uncertain times, lives and properties can no longer be guaranteed in Rivers State as a result of these chronicled events in a state that has just regained its peaceful status from the recent past from being the beehive of cultism and kidnap.”

Mr. Amachree warned that silence over the planned and calculated destabilization of security apparatus in Rivers State is an “evil wind” that will blow no one any good and is capable of contributing to fostering of anarchy on the Nigeria State especially, when those charged with upholding the law, ignore and conspire to undermine it, unmindful of the implications.”

This evening, Mr. Jonathan declared a state of emergency in three States in Northern Nigeria in connection with the Boko Haram sect.  The President and the Governor Amaechi enjoy hostile relations over Mr. Jonathan’s 2015 presidential run which Amaechi, who chairs the Nigeria Governors Forum, reportedly opposes.

No state police

Netanyahu, creating a state police is recipe for disaster and anarchy. The state governor, deputy governor, their wives and their brothers will use the state police to harass, intimidate, rig and what not. You are going have mini-countries in the country.

Watch out for Mr, Speaker in future

Mr,Speaker are you telling the truth or because you have been promised a juicy office after Amechi leaves office, because we am seeing that his shoes fits your legs if not you are not the one to write on this matter, where is your SSG.

President Jonathan call Nyesom Wike and your Wife to Order

Those exonorating the Presidency from this crises should ask the reason why his wife Dame Patience Jonathan relocated to Yenegoa and the reason for holding noctural meetings with Security Chiefs including The State Commissioner of Poliice Mr. Mbu Joseph Mbu and the Minister of State for Education- Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike in attendance. At least this was reported in some dailies last week. We in Rivers State had witness orgy of violence, kidnapping, various forms of crimes and criminality before the emergence of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaeche whom God used to quell these ugly trends. As i speak right now, criminals is exploiting this situation to perpetuate their crimes. The State is gradually drifting to anarchy unless something is done.People should stop playing politics with lives and property.President Jonathan should call his wife and Nyesom Wike to order IMMEDIATELY.

Where is Gov Amechi?

Why are you guys intent on dragging Mr. President into your petty Provincial Politics? Should the speaker be the one writing to the President? Stop insulting our dear President and face your issues squarely. Once you refrain from vanity and pride and focus on the greater good you may just be helped with the solution!!

Jonathan and his Wife.

What show of shame is going on Rivers State? How can Pres. Jonathan descend so low, crude, petty and primitive simply because gov Amaechi has remained forthright in the affairs of his State. Jonathan has forgotten so soon the unfair treatment meted to him and his wife by the bootlickers of Turai and her cohorts when Yar'adua was bed ridden in Saudi Arabia. Amaechi's sins in my opinion is that he is principled, hardworking and has refused the chop-i-chop policy of the PDP government. All said and done, God will vindicate this man.

POLICE :ANOTHER PROBLEM FOR NIGERIA

One of the challenging problems of Nigeria today is the bastardization of the Nigerian police where the prestigious profession has been reduced to nothing. Nigerian police has become a conniving agency for rigging elections and sometimes it maps out the strategies for working out a massive rigging. The organization is full of pretenders and tricky criminals. For this, however one doesn't need to hire a criminal from outside to carry out a dirty assignment. Unless and until the Nigerian police come back to its real sense to understand that it's not established to serve any politician or group of politicians or political party. The organization must stop pretence to face reality by knowing that Nigeria is the country they serve.

RE

I have so much regard for the Governor, he should be afraid of his own people in his government; they are the very ones Ameachi should be afraid of and they are they ones that would even plan to kill him if that's anything to go by.

RE: CONTINUATION

The problems in the State is even worse with people like yourselves in that Assembly House. What laws have you guys passed that has made Rivers People enjoy the freedom your begging for? is it not because you all have security personnel all around yourselves; that's why you no longer know your duties as representatives of your people. If the Governor needs advice, he should stay away from people such as the Assembly Men and a hand-full of his demonic officials whom are hiding under the disguise of being in Government to commit atrocities. Wicked People; God will never leave you guys unpunished.

RE: YOUR TIME HAS COME

I think its time for some of you who thought you own the world to have your share of what I call 'FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN'. The only personality I can stand for is the Governor; the rest of you Guys in the Assembly are a pure waste of time, lack regards for rule of law and also lack ideas to move the state forward. They can assassinate everyone in the Assembly if they deem fit; you guys are bunch of he goats.

PROVE YOUR STORY

Dear Mr. Speaker,
It will do this country good if you give details of the puported meeting where the assasination of His Excellency Rotimi Amechi was discussed, to the DSSS or if you do not trust them, make these details public. If you fail to do this, and anybody is assasinated, such person`s blood will be on your head.
I hope that you are not one of those people that make us see politics as a very dirty game, where unproven allegations are made to gain cheap popularity.
Please I beg you, do not join people like Lai Mohammed who make unsubstantiated accusations.
Thank you.

This allegation should be investigated

This is a serious issue and the speaker of the state assembly needs to be seriously investigated to see that this not just frivolity.

Oh! God protect our country Nigeria

Oh! God protect our country Nigeria

Did'nt you people oppose the

Did'nt you people oppose the creation of state police? With state police, you do not need the Mbu man to guard you. You prefer police from your northern brothers to guard you. Now they are withdrawn, what do you want us to do? To shed crocodile tears with you. All of you politicians from the south are the dumbest Nigerians alive. You are so short-sighted that you don't pause for a moment to think of life after office. Get lost all of you.

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MUST WAKE UP AND RISE TO THE OCCASION.

Why is the National Assembly mum or slow to progressive action on this latest threat to democracy in Rivers state? Why are the senators and the representatives, leaders, stakeholders from that state silent on this affront on the constitution of the FRN. There's nowhere in the constitution that says you must use brute military force to remove a duly elected democratic govt. It can only be done thru an election, impeachment or recall. Anything short of these must be condemned. And a stop put to the atrocities going on in Rivers state..

False Alarm!!! How can a

False Alarm!!!
How can a rubber stamp speaker be making false Alarm.
You just afraid that your stealing of rivers money is over.
Thief

rubbish

why waste time writing letter to the same person that is involved in the whole issue...is ridiculous!

Rubbish

What is wrong with this foolish speaker of a boy. I am ashamed to have originated from the same town and tribe of the Ijaw nation as this boy. He was brought up by a very humble father. His mother also respects herself and is well respected by the Ijaw community in London. Tamuno-Telemaba Amachree cannot be happy with the conduct of Amaechi except that he fears going down with a governor who made it possible for him to enjoy the good life irrespective of the fact the governor deprived him of the constitutional powers of an authentic speaker of a state House of Assembly. Is this boy happy at the state of Abonnema Wharf? How many Kalabari-Ijaws have a foot hold in Port Harcourt since Odili flushed his toilet upon the Rivers people? I am ashamed of this boy. Please get rid of this boy together with the governor.

Before nko? PDP politics is do-or-die ...kill or get killed !!

After Amaechi signed his ass-licking letter to Dr. Dumbo, I said it came a tick too late. "Oga madam" has already relocated to his neighbourhood and won't go back to Abuja until her mission is accomplished. She will lose face if Rotimi survives. So, Amaechi and this Amachree clown had better start packing their suitcases, the party's over. Dumbo has already declared a half-hearted SoE in the North, it's right and just if he balances the equation with Amaechi's ass.

I hate cowards. After Melaye and Etok, now this thug is claiming someone wants to kill him ...kill them before they kill you! It's called, "self defense" and is protected by the Bible. My advise, hire Ombatse Cult security outfit, their "Odeshi" has "passed" field tests with deadly consequences. Then go on the offense, take it to Mbu Joseph Mbu ...defense never won the game of PDP politics, but, Dog-eat-Dog does! Animals!
