Even from the comments on this site, it is obvious; Nigeria can only develop when the North goes its way, and the south does likewise. Let's avoid another Somalia or Rwanda genocide. For instance, in the South, the norm is to train the young to love irrespective of tribe or religion. That is why, though there are vices and crimes, there can never be widespread support for any criminal activity under any guise. But in the Core North (Hausa/Fulani) the young are nurtured to hate others that are different from them in tribe and most especially in religion; in fact they are allowed to kill non muslims and get away with it. It is lawful by their beliefs and values. Again, it is the wish of the south to emulate the the Western World and it's shenanigans, but the mentor for the North is the Arab World. Unfortunately, those two civilizations have been at loggerheads for sometime, and seem to move in opposite directions. As such, there can be no meaningful uniformity in association between the North and the South. Their belief systems are apart & parallel, and therefore cannot meet. Boko Haram has no concern about the south except to the extent that they see it as harbouring moral decadence and personal corruption. The decadent and immoral version of Christianity practised in Nigeria means it has no strength and is about to be wiped out. I have no problem with Boko Haram as long as they only punish the corrupt and vile elite and leave ordinary Nigerians alone.
Whether we like it or not, the moral decadence in Nigeria can only be cured by a revolution along the lines of Libya & Iran. We all run off to Dubai to enjoy its delights.
