Community Vigilante Denounce Police Heroism, Claimed They Rescued Kidnapped Nigerian Soccer Star, Christian Obodo

Y don't you read his personal story on how he was kidnapped before asking questions? He had gone to church when he was kidnapped and gone to buy recharge card when he was rescued.

I do join in thanking the persons who helped in his release, but i ask the questions that nobody seems to ask him, what was he doing outside by the hour of the day he was said to have been kidnapped? How come he was left on his own by the kidnappers for him to have sneaked out as claimed and shouted? So many small small questions that need big big answers?

i think the best solution we can currently see is the legalization of community policing and de-centraliztion fo security in Nigeria.

let give God the glory, both parties played a very good rule,that is the Nigeria Police and Emevor vigilante,is just that the Nigeria Police like to accredit every thing to themselves,it would have been better if they say we were able to rescue obodo through the help of the Emevor vigilante, these would have save them from public embarrassment.

I remember seeing him in festac in a restaurant,I walked up and commended him for his soccer brilliance,and he was all smiles and thanked me ,so was sad when I heard he was abducted by men of the underworld.i asked my sister to pray for his release and oh what a sweet relief he has been found.its all the handwork of God.I give him the glory for he was the one that made it possible for him to grab the rare opportunity of fleeing from his captors and wisdom to scream and all.credit should also go to the valiant youths who came enmasse on hearing the distress call,the police also,thank you all for coming to the aid of our hero.I wished the victims of the dana air crash were rescued too,but in all let's give thanks to God almighty,the all knowing.

What do we expect from a police that is trained to collect bribes and extort money from defenseless Nigerians,why will they not claim credit for deeds that they did not do,are they not the same people that kill innocent people and display them as armed robbers,case in point is the Apo 6,what has happened to that matter!!!!

Thank God for the safety of Christian Obodo,and kudos to the brave community vigilante. Nothing about the Nigerian police will ever shock me again,they will one day claim the storming and killing of Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan.

the nigerian police force still need governement and the people's support to be on top of the game. The security challenges still need to be address properly using the right measure. The police our are friend but are they really friendly? The issue of policing and security is a business for all. Lie lie police, how can they claim to be the ones who rescued Obodo? I knew in my mind when I first read the story that something was not right particularly when the people quoted were police men. Here we are now a couple of hours later and the truth is made clear. Obodo made the daring move to save himself and the community with their communal efforts and the spirit of being our brothers keepers did the needful by ensuring that he was saved and the kinappers dispelled. Which one police come dey claim tarzan for this mata now? Na only call dem call dem to come take Obodo comot and now dem dey claim say dem go rescue am. Credit to police or not the guy has been saved. Until we decide to start helping ourselves in this nation the terrorist will continue to have a good time. If the police did not work in conjunction with the villagers how would they rescue obodo. Terrorist are not ghost. They are pple like u and I,they can be checked.

What would it have cost the police to truthfully inform the public that they have always appealed to assist, that the victim was rescued by a collaborative effort with a local vigillante group in Isoko? This will encourage other groups or individuals to come forward with information that will assist the police in their job next time. Now, trying to 'steal' the credit would discourage future informants. Talk of an institution that lacks and hates credibility. Thank God for the victim.

No one believed the police rescued this soccer star anyway. We knew they were lying. Lying is the major component of their DNA. They are serial and chronic pathological liars. They cannot even rescue themselves if their lives depend on it. I am glad these villagers put a damper on their bogus claim to valour.
