EFCC Declares Ex-Gov Abubakar Audu Wanted

Former Governor of Kogi State Abubakar Audu
By Wilson Uwujaren- Ag. Head, Media & Publicity, EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has declared former governor of Kogi State, Abubakar Audu wanted for offences bordering on conspiracy, stealing and misappropriation of public fund.

The action followed the failure of the suspect to respond to invitation by the anti- graft agency.

Attempt by the EFCC to arrest Audu at his 32, Sulaiman Barau Street, Asokoro, Abuja residence on December 11, 2012 failed as he allegedly evaded arrest.
The former governor is alleged to have fraudulently enriched himself to the tune of over N4 billion while he held sway as governor of Kogi State between 1999 and 2003.

The move to arrest the ex- governor followed a Supreme Court ruling of November 23, 2012, which dismissed the ex-governor's appeal to continue to protract his corruption trial by EFCC.

The Commission implores any one having useful information about the whereabouts of the suspect to notify its offices in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Kano and Enugu or report at the nearest police station.

WHEN SHALL THEY BE COURAGEOUS ENOUGH TO ARRAIGN FAROUK LAWAN?

WHAT DEAL DID THEY HAVE THAT HAS SPARED FAROUK LAWAN. THIS LEGAL SYSTEM IS SELECTIVE AND UNJUST. YET HE IS STILL IN THE DEN OF FRAUD CALLED THE HOUSE OF REP, WHERE THE COHORTS REMAIN GUILTY FOR SHARING!

EFCC is now officially a toothless bulldog.

EFCC all of una working in that organisation along with your president GEJ are crazy. Because of the inaction and ineffectiveness of the EFCC in not pursuing the really corrupt and for the jokes you guys have been playing since after Ribadu, if I ever see Mr Abubakar Audu, all I would do is ask him for some 10 or 20 million, and help him escape. I have absolutely NO faith in the EFCC anymore. It would be better if they ceased to exist till we have another president who is truly keen on tackling corruption. GEJ has effectively shown that he is not serious about tackling corruption. To rebuild trust in the EFCC start from the presidents home and prosecute madam Patience Johnathan for her own money laundering case. Until this happens EFCC is officially an impotent organisation.

Aluu

People, this man sure is fit for the Aluu treatment. Anybody sighting this serial thief should raise the alarm, everybody in the vicinity should come together and club him to death, set his vile body ablaze.

Failed EFCC

Why waste salary on these guys that call themselves EFCC? This commission stopped working for only God knows how long.

I know where he is hiding, EFCC

Hey EFCC. I know where he is. He is in his house, watching TV and enjoying the loot.

..only if you want him and have no interest in bribery...you can find him. If you search for him, you will find him. Stop the crap.

unimaginable corruption in Nigeria

What is the so called EFCC doing to those who stole the common wealth of Nigerians in the name of oil block allocation, imagine a self acclaimed richest black woman with no office, was only a tailor who lived in Isolo and owned her sewing place in olatunde close Suru-lere off Falolu in Lagos. And she attended Adeola in Ijebu Ode but she is rewriting her history to attending school in England. What school in the UK. We all know she is a front! Only in Nigeria. Gov Audu's should be left alone . The oil thieves are the the real culpritsof Nigeria's ruined economy. Groundnut pyramids of the North and the coacoa farms in the West were never allocated for individual wealth instead they were used for the development of the nation and the free education of Nigerians.but today the oil is distributed to a few to the hardship of 99.98% of Nigerians with intergrity

we need the colonial master!

the efcc is lieing just to deceive the public. I beleieve Audu abubakar was dining and wining with the efcc chairman last night. just like ibori did with Waziri before he was caught by the long arm law of the formal colonial master. Its only the law of the formal colonial master that can get him.

The EFCC is not the

The EFCC is not the problem.

The real problems are the corrupt judges who give writs of mandamus and the executive arm of government such as the State and Federal Attorney Generals who protect these crooks. Ibori was protected by Michael Aondoka and Yar'Adua, just as several ex-governors like Odili, Abubakar, Kalu, Tinubu and others have been hiding behind writs of mandamuses or outright dismal of cases granted by various corrupt judges across the land.

Until the judicial arm of government rises to assert its independence and rid its fold of corrupt practitioners, the executive and legislative arms of government will continue in their feast of purloining unchecked to the detriment of the entire corporate entity called Nigeria.

Nothing dey happen...

Just another movie from Lamorde and his EFCC. Better news jare, no one is impressed here.

EFCC should go to LUTH or ASO Rock to locate Audu!

EFCC should go to LUTH to locate Audu. He is holed in there with Babalakin. Afterall, this other 'wanted' man has used CROOKED JUSTICE Buba for ODILI-STYLE permanent injunction! If he is not there, check out Aso ROCK; there are more financial criminals and money-changing odious characters there, or USED THAT ADDRESS IN THE PAST, than all of Nigeria combined.

Nollywood, Bollywood or Holywood do not need any more odious and tragi-comic strips for a film involving scenes that intertwine COMEDY, GREED, CORRUPTION, DOUBLE STANDARDS, WICKEDNESS, INHUMANITY, BACK-STABBING and INJUSTICE. EFCC and NIGERIA HAVE IT ALL!

What crap these people FEED us daily! Is it they (EFCC and the Political selected) or we Nigerians that do not KNOW?

Merry Christmas to PATIENCE, OBJ, ATIKU, ABUBAKAR, IBB, TINUBU, SARAKI, BANK-OLE, MARK, 31 GOVERNORS, Dahiru BARAU MANGAL and the other 'gifted' Nigerians whilst your compatriots struggle to stretch out their $2 daily earnings this season. Cheers!!!

EFCC

EFCC IF YOU WANT HIM GO AND FIND HIM AND STOP BOTHERING PEOPLE THAT ARE STRUGGLING TO FEED THEIR FAMILIES . IF AND WHEN YOU FIND HIM YOU WONT DO MUCH SO STOP MAKING NOISE. TILL DATE YOU HAVE ARRESTED MORE THAN GOVERNORS AND NOT EVEN ONE HAS GONE TO PRISON, MAY BE THEY HAVE GOOD LAWYERS AND YOU HAVE LOUSY PROSECUTORS EITHER WAY YOUR RECORD AS THE AGENCY FIGHTING CORRUPTION IS RUBBISH SO GO FIND HIM YOURSELF.

Clowns

This is a joke!Audu,Efcc, all clowns and like tuface says.dem want to play us another story again ohhhh...!NA UK officials go solve the issue in the end! if na these actors forget it naija

sharia "justice" must apply

 Abubakar, what/who else?

Arrest in True Sense

EFCC: Once you get hold of this wanted governor, the first thing to do HAND-CUFF him at the back. That is the standard procedure worldwide. If you fail to do so, then you are just jokers who don't belong in any law enforcement.

These are the kinds of

These are the kinds of politicians that deserve to die in helicopter crashes in Nigeria, not the "fairly tested" ones like Patrick Yakowa and Owoye Azazi. Death why are you sparing the wicked ploiticians in Nigeria and killing the "fair" ones?

Catch him

Catch am catch am thief thief catch am catch am robber robber. Another one is about to join Ibori. Patience is virtue. He who is seating in his house waiting for some to arrive is not suppose to get tired. We are waiting, all of them must account for all the loot they accumulated while in office.

Between 2007 to 2010, EFCC

Between 2007 to 2010, EFCC had this man and others on its website as a wanted fellons. The next time I heard, he was contesting for governor and was meeting Yardua in Aso Rock. This is just a big fat joke.
I think EFCC is no longer fit for purpose.

But lets wait and see where this wind called Nigeria blows those that leave there. I pity all the people I close to me that live in Nigeria. I just hope things will become better.

So Sad

I think former Kogi governor was innocent among the governors. Where is the saint then in Nigeria? EFCC why are these people eluding arrest? This will never happen during the regime of Mr. Nuhu Ribadu. Go and find him, drag him on the muddy floor and let him go to live in Kirikiri for like 2 years. The current governor will be afraid to steal. This is ridiculous. Our system is very bad when it comes to corruption.

PROBABLY CONSULTING WITH GODFATHERS TO TRUNCATE JUSTICE

This is just a game we have gotten used to,he is doing whatever he can to delay justice settling the Judge, getting corrupt godfathers to press buttons, dodging security agents etc.
These looters are so cowardly that they cannot even afford to face the basic arrest, well law enforcement cannot claim ignorance of his where-about,they must get their job done.

Justice always triumph...

Another one has fallen out of favor... Their squabbles; our gain. Truth and justice always prevail over inordinate conspiracy!

EFCC!!!

As if they will do anything if they get information

NO BOUNTY?

You guys cannot be serious! Why should anyone offer information of his whereabout for free? No incentive? For the amount he's alleged to have stolen, many people will shield him from the EFCC.

hey

we dont have info about him, go find him you all know where he is
