My mother's first name is Ayiyi, and not Elekiya Ayisat. Elekia is my father's living second wife's name.
The mix up in my mother's name began with the publication of 'Born To Run'in 1987 and only authors of the book could explain how they came about using a name without clarifications from the family.
I believe that whoever is the source of the usage of incorrect names for my mother would henceforth take note.

I sympathize with the Giwa's family on the passing of the woman who had suffered the loss of her most promising son. May God grant the family fortitute to bear the loss. She lived well but for the unfortunate death of her son.
