You made a brilliant submission but ended your comment badly when you went personal trying to denigrate Keyamo. The picture you painted ought to be the ideal thing but the system we practice still gives the Police the power to prosecute. Until there is an amendment in our legislatures, the police can still prosecute an accused person. What Keyamo is saying is simple. If the AGF refused to prosecute this case for whatever reason, the police should commence the prosecution so that this clear case of corruption does not just die like that. Keyamu may be a whistle blower if that is what you call noise making but people like him are necessary in a society like ours where we seem to suffer from collective amnesia as Soyinka would put it.

Let me be blunt, Keyamo is wrong. I do not want our police directly prosecuting a case. It makes absolutely no sense. YOu can't be the accuser, prosecutor and possibly a judge at the same time. Let me repeat, in a sane world it makes absolutely no sense. But then Nigeria is not a sane world. Police duties are investigating and gathering evidences. Once that is done, the case is presented to the Attorney-general or other relevant agencies for prosecution. IT is the duty of the prosecutor to weigh the evidences in the case in order to determine whether to proceed with the case. When you don't have a well defined responsibilities for these agencies you end up with mix-up of this nature with each agency pointing fingers at each other. People claim Keyamo is a good lawyer, I don't think he is. Noise making does not make you a good lawyer.

Festus Keyamo shouldn't be taken serious. He has exonerated his tribesman Otedola from the crime so no one should take his rantings serious. That Aboki Lawan was alleged to have taken a bribe and for Otedola to have reported him to the police doesn't make him free from the oil subsidies fraud. The question should be if he took part in the oil subsidy saga or not. Not about the bribe issue or who reported the bribe saga to the police. Keyamo should better stop being in favour of Otedola if he wants naijas to take him serious.

Naijas have be made to believe that Ifeanyi Uba is the only subsidy thieve. Every other regional thieves have been exonerated including the PDP chairman son.
