I was there when the governor came and flagged off the construction of katuru road, off sadauna crescent . I was personally interested in the even because the road had been neglected for the last 40 years, but Yakowa came to our rescue. The governor left the place after being conducted round the road by the commissioner for work, the commissioner's car which had to stay behind after the governor's convoy had left, then decided to catch up with them and in the process, the accident occurred. it was not as if itwas the governor's convoy, but the commissioner's car which was not with the convoy when the accident happened. It is unfortunate that a life was lost, but trying very hard to blame it on the governor is pure mischief.

Stupid country with stupid leaders. visionless fools with heartless souls. Why these long convoys for our clueless Governors? The root of all these corruptions in our nation is the complete detachment from ordinary Nigerians by these politicians. These politicians lives in a complete bubble and there lies our problem. The day those in the corridors of power in our nation start caring for ordinary citizens they are ruling over, that is the day Nigeria will start working. Will that day ever arrived? I dread to even dream!

The family of the orange seller should use juju to wipe out the family of the person that brought sorrow to them. We have such things in africa, it is time we make use of them.

What happened when the convoy of Atiku killed 3 passers-by while on his way to attend the marriage ceremony of his daughter-one of the vehicles in the convoy also enjured spectators who had come to watch the event. The story as its usual with the Nigeria press, was carried by only one national daily

We may not know now whether the governor was physically present in the said convoy; and we may never know, given the seriousness of the offence. However, one thing looks certain: that the death was caused by a vehicle belonging to the Kaduna State governor's convoy and, following the death, there was no visible attempt at stopping to ascertain the seriousness of the offence nor any attempt to help the victim. That was the most callous aspect of this crime. A commissioner's car in this convoy killed the woman. If the governor were not on the convoy then why must ONLY a commissioner be riding in a governor's convoy? My gut reaction is that the governor WAS present on this convoy! Accordingly, the governor's action was brazenly callous. This immunity clause is now causing some serious problem in Nigeria.

Young man pls let us learn to use the media well. Do you know this same prayer you did may be your portion. The good book says Vengence is mine says who? Says the lord almighty. Why are you so quick to judge people. We should be very careful and be optimistic about life and people pls

For killing a poor orange seller after stealing the SS oil money meant for Kadunv pple, I have offered these prayers with sacrifices for Governor Yakowa & family.....

You people you don't know the implications of having terrorists in the state. How do you expect the Governor to stop. The correct security protocol is what he did. He should leave as soon as possible and some other people in the convoy should stop to investigate.
It is time for government to ban roadside traders. It should even be illegal for those with shops to spread their wares outside their stores. We are using white man's technology (cars) but we do not realize that there is a lifestyle that goes along with it like not selling things on the road. Roads are meant for cars. They should not be markets. Makarfi tried to bring some order in his tenure.

If the governor has a little piece of care for thee live of the people he govern, since the commissioner was in his (governor's) convoy, he would have stopped. It isn't whose vehicle but whose Convoy.

With the level of insecurity in the country and the increasing animosity against the leadership of Patrick Yakowa,it is not out of the way for his Chief detail to advise him to move on even if His Excellency had decided to stop.let us be rational in our judgement of events. Patrick Yakowa is definitely NOT a callous man.

The governor shuld hav stopped,dis is how gov't officials go about driving recklessly ova the place,people who were elected to protect lives and properties.It's a pity d poor girl had to go this way and u can b sure dat her family will not b compensated.

While I commiserate with the family of he orange seller and hope the govt of Kaduna state will offer recompense to the family of the deceased, I feel SR needs to be called to attention for a disingenuous attempt at twisting the facts to fit a story. Which one are we to believe: the governor was guilty or the commissioner's car? The law enforcement agencies need to start prosecuting the drivers and sanity will be restored pronto!

Imagine the insensitive attitude of these public office holders! Yakowa must account for a property of the Almighty now or later. In the interim, the family of the deceased should be assisted so as to lighten the burden of their loss.

The incident happen very close to my office. The convoy left stadium round about and one if the drivers was left behind. If you see at the speed the driver was speedind, rushing to meet the convoy, one can conclude the driver has inmunity to kill any road user and go free.
We really need to learn our limitations in this country.

Let the governor yakowa knows that the poor orange boy has is own creator too if is in power to govern people not to kill them and he has children too so he should know that accisdent can happn to them too anytime so be a good leader not the bad type

SR you've done well in reporting this story that characterize the frequent abuse of the so called Public Office holder. Yakowa should note that even if nobody can challenge him now for the innocent life killed. The Almighty God that owns our life will ask him on the day of reckoning, no man will help him then. Reckless Governor with reckless convyor. WHAT a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not think the governor could have stopped since it was not his car that was involved in the accident. However, the government should do everything to compensate the family because i guess it must have been out of callousness. The commissioner that was involved should do everything in his power to ensure that the family does not feel the effect of the loss too badly.
