Gunmen Kill Two Nigerians; Abduct French National In Katsina – Police

People of Rimi in Katsina State have been thrown into mourning as gunmen attacked the community.
Gunmen invaded Rimi in Katsina State on Wednesday, abducted a French construction worker, killed two persons, and attacked a police station, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Abdullahi Magaji, has confirmed.
Mr. Magaji said on Thursday in Katsina that the gunmen attacked the police station to divert attention, as their main target was the abduction of the expatriate supervisor handling a mill project in Rimi.
Mr. Magaji also said that a mobile policeman sustained injuries during the attack and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
He said “one gun belonging to the hoodlums was recovered and we are going to arrest them”.
A witness had earlier said the incident occurred on Wednesday night when a gang of gunmen attacked the police station and the residence of the Frenchman.
According to the witness, the gunmen arrived in three cars and split into three groups to carry out the attacks simultaneously.
“Although the police station was devastated, no one was killed or injured there,” the witness said.
A correspondent who visited Rimi, reports that residents of the town, including the caretaker Chairman of the Local Government Council, Nasiru Ala, were already preparing to bury the deceased.

@Sultanofsokoto, I understand how you feel when you made this comment but what about other parts of Nigeria? The Niger Delta Militants started it, I was in PH then and many people in that area were celebrating the kidnapping of white men. I told a large gathering of colleagues then that even they who are Nigerians may suffer from this act. Many disagreed with me then but alas! what do we have now? Kidnapping now is everywhere in Nigeria just the magnitude differs. It is in the North, South, East and West. They even did it in Ibadan. Some now took it as their job in the East, the militants in the North too saw it as another avenue. So sad for my country. Until we stop the hipocracy of tribe and religion, Nigeria may be inn for it.
Nigeria is not a Country but a Continent. Break up NOW!

Take a look at the statistics of Regional contribution to the Continent's treasury:
1. South South(SS) ---> 62%
2. South East (SE) ---> 36.5%
3. South West (SW) ---> 1.5%
4. North East (NE) ---> 0%
5. North West (NW) ---> 0%
6. North Central(NC) -->0%
What is the use of regions/countries 3-6?
The above is just revenue. If you were to consider other sectors like sports, comedy, music, 'Nollywood', poetry, academia, etc... the percentage contributions would only be marginally different.
The SS&SE cannot continue with these barren people. IMPOSSIBLE.

Birnin Katsina is on the siege and will soon fall into the hands of freedom fighters. In vain does the Nigerian govt try to keep Nigeria one by force. You cannot mix oil and water, they will always fall apart. It is impossible to put together one Musulimi, one Christian, one godless Nigerian, one Arewa, one Middle Belt animist, one Biafra, one Oduduwa, one Egbesu. It is a recipes for disaster.

The SE and the hausa-fulani north have absolute nothing in common. How can we be in same country with people who kill for 72 virgins reward. This is nonsense of the highest order, absolutely. Keep wondering why the so called expatriate don´t take the security warnings of their various countries serious. I for one will not go anywhere near or above the niger, not for all the money in the world.
