I am sure the North especially the leaders never knew it would get to this when they started fanning the embers of religion. The tiger is now devouring its rider. It is too late now. The next steps to redeem the north will be catastrophic just like it is happening in Somalia, the place will be almost devastated before it is finally pacified. The earlier they started this fight the less destruction it will bring.
