In I sreal, one person is enough for Isreali action.For one American citizen, the government can attack a nation. Why would GEJ consider as many as 38 deaths a few? Do we need more? This is getting more unfortunate.

We Nigerians are mostly either chronic religious chauvinists or chronic ethnic chauvinists. When we see the truth, we often let our chauvinistic instincts becloud our good sense of reasoning. We are aware that GEJ and IBB are the same bunch of crooks and looters and that nobody should consider them for any legitimate elective position, but because of our Christian, Muslim or Ethnic background we turn the other way and put up the gab of praise singers. Until we change this attitude of ours we will never get good leaders. Those who are drumming support for Jonathan today are mostly doing that to get at IBB rather than thinking of the nation’s interest. Similarly those dancing frenziedly in support of IBB are doing so either as a pay back or the Nigeria survival factor. Patriotic Nigerians should seek ways of mobilizing the masses to completely reject and vote out this PDP anathema. Bukhaari may be an option, for if we continue in this trend, this state may witness a severe level of instability (God forbid) and also foster a monumental waste (purchase of additional presidential jets), fraud and corruption (dropping of case against Halliburton crooks). sahara, continue to balance your report justly and never mind the ranting of those who do not want to hear the truth.

Why not a grace period?

If you stole money or obtained by graft or enriched yourself illegally, we should by special dispensation grant a grace period of 6 months of returning ALL the money WITH NO PRISON TERMS or you face the consequences if you are prosecuted and found guilty. We should not be too emotional, though it hurts,more so when it has to do with corruption. But i think Mr President is never a weak man. GEJ is a very careful person and it has always paid well. just as, if he had allowed his emotion to influence his decisions as many Nigerians had wanted, by using Presidential powers as an Acting President to ascertain the true medical state of Ya'adua, you can best imagine the fate of this country today. Probably GEJ would have been accused of being selfish, desperate and power drunk, and also the architect of Ya'adua's death. In my candid opinion he is on the right track. just as Obasanjo was disgraced with the failure of Justice Oputa's purported panel,GEJ shall come to that same point to prove the man in him.

The fight against corruption is not gaining momentum at all in Nigeria.A case like the Halliburton matter should attract the wrath of Nigerians, but No!. Lets all be honest with ourselves. How many people gather liver in Nigeria today to go and try OBJ, IBB, Abubakar...Even Ribadu the mad dog himself was to an extent selective in his justice. GEJ has always been an easy going guy, I don't see why people expect him to become RAMBO overnight and bite the hands that fed him.

I think that you may be treating Farida Waziri a little unfairly. She went to US and arranged to gather a lot of the evidence supplied to the US court and has prepared a case against all the defendants named in the US case (OBJ and others). Her problem is that her husband has aligned himself with the Governor of Gombe and Atiku. He is supporting their presidential campaign against Johnathan. The PDP and some of Jonathan's closest advisors are turning against her for her husband's failings. This would be a pity.

These people in govt in Nigeria just think we are all fools! That's the same way they treat all Nigerians with these "Bait and Switch" attitude. Jonathan has clearly gone full circle with his acquired skills from the rotten criminals that preceeded him. I just wish his plane would crash on the way to New York to save us from the agony of this man. He has not differentiated himself an inch from the likes of Obasanjo, Abacha and Babangida. I watched a B.B.C. talk show called "Hard Talk"in which the Interviewer looked Obasanjo straight in the eyes and told him that Kessler of haliburton mentioned his name as one of those Bribed in the Haliburton case.Obasanjo threw a fit and was wagging his finger across his face while making a feeble dead as Doodoo attempt at defending his sullied name and Image.
Today, that statement has been Vindicated!Obasanjo is a corrupt and Tarnished man.This is the reason he is always tagging along where ever Jonathan goes.To secure his immunity from being prosecuted in this case and in exchange throwing his support for Jonathan.This is also the reason why his name did not appear in the list of those to be tried in Nigeria.This is further reason why the E.F.C.C is not handling this Case, rather the office of the Attorney General of the Federation is.
I urge Nigerians all over the world to alert the United States of America that they should go all the way in pointing out to world the need to try and jail Obasanjo.They have the actual list of those who received this Dirty money.Catch them now and try them, to teach Nigerian politicians a very big lesson.They are the leaders and frontrunners in battering and soiling NIgeria's image while their folks suffer in abject poverty and starvation.

Have we forgotten that Jonathan's wife was at the verge of graft trial before OBJ called off the dogs because GEJ was being eyed for Abuja (se)election.
GEJ's hands are not clean of Bayelsa funds, they are not clean of Abuja funds either. Coupled with the fact that GEJ cannot try anybody big in Nigeria. I don't even think he has balls big enough to try motor park touts.

Jonathan himself is not as clean as people imagined. Have we forgotten so soon that his wife was being investigated for money laundering prior to his ascendancy to power by the EFCC with the cooperation of the US or UK govt? The case died a natural death when the grand gorilla of Ota farm decided that GEJ was his candidate for vice presidency in the 2007 greatly flawed elections.

Do we assume that GEJ was not privy to his wife's loot when he was the governor of Bayelsa? I think his wife was fronting for him while he continued putting up an innocent face. GEJ is merely repaying OBJ the favour rendered him by the former. Besides, the names of other high profile Nigerians missing form the list is not an error. It's simply obvious that if such names are included and OBJ not there, they would open a can of messy worms as they all know each other secrets. Recall the PTDF treasury looting case against Atiku Abubakar by OBJ and Atiku's rejoinder against OBJ that the greater thief was Obasanjo. So, why not rather pretend to fight corruption in other to win some political points from Nigerians who are pepetually suffering form amnesia.

Jonathan shouldnt be a coward; either you want to fight corruption starting from yourself or you want to avoid it and leave it for a mere credible Nigerian to resurrect it when you are out of office and may become liable for concealing corrupt cases. Why then are you grouping Baba's name with someone like Atiku? No matter how you wish it desperately in your mind, it will never come to fruition; Baba set a high standard for himself and was above board in all he did during his service to the nation. Some of us who felt enough is enough have taken it upon us to say the truth even if that's unpopular among our colleagues.
