election in Nigeria
Am afraid if this election will be free and fare. Because we the Nigerians we are good when it come partiality. Please let this forth coming election be free and fare with out any problem.
Prayer
I prayer this year election will be a success
general elections
tell Mr President and Mr INEC Chairman that Nigerians are no longer fools who they will again just as Objsanjo and Iwu did.We are watching them.thanks
2011 Nigeria election
In my opinion, the time given to Professor Jega to conduct the next elections is too short. I suspect some reasons for the non-extesion of the date by the National Assembly. First, the brevity of the time frame will serve the incumbent in particular and PDP in general. Secondly, given Jega's pedegree, the ruling class want to create the impression that if Jega cannot salvage the problem of electoral fraud in Nigeria, then Nigerian intellectuals have failed. I feel that Jega should have been given more time.
credible election
prof.
all Nigerian citizens are now looking for you to work out the moderlities for a credible election that will give us a free and fear election.come 2011.
thank you.
INEC & THE TIMETABLE
Na una sabi, Nothing do the time table. Please People., for once dont complain..just go and make sure u register.Na your vote go talk..so pls "work the talk" With ur vote and protect it.Dont biscourage the youths around u,be positive ok GOD NO DE SLEEP ALL THE ANGELS WHEN HIM POST TO 9IJA DE SHINE THEIR EYES WE ARE HEADING FOR SUGAR AND HONEY una dooooooo.SAHARA I GRIT UNA.
ARRANGEE MASTERS
The same thing that happened last general election will still repeat itself again, why presidential before gubanitorial all na arrangee i believe obasanjo must know about this.
It is very interesting to see
It is very interesting to see how much money is earnmarked to conduct next elections. Why are we wasting our resources, hence, we all know that in Nigeria there is no "election but selection". I strongly advise that we use this resources to make the life and living standard of the Nigerian Citizen and Resident better. The money can be used to provide drinkable water, un-interrupted electricity supply, good roads, access to free medical facilities, free basic education, gainful employment for our people and many other good things. These are some of the vision of Chief Awolowo for Nigeria and her people. May the Great Soul of our Papa Obafemi Awolowo rest in perfect peace, amen.
simple
state governors need to deliver their state s for jonathan goodluck, jonathan will in return support their second term bid or allow the governors pick someone loyal to succeed them for those serving second term.you can see president goodluck jonathan game plan
Wrong thinkers
What is wrong about governership election before presidential election, what is wrong about 14 days for voters to register. All of you complaining also have personal motive and this position also have it reward.
RESULTS DATES MISSING!
When is the announcement of results?INEC should include in print the limit to results release after the final elections!
IT IS WELL WITH MY COUNTRY
God in His infinite mercies will see us through this process. He will guide our INEC officials in the way to go and the wisdom of heaven -such as Joseph displayed in the time of crutial need in Egypt, will be bestowed our INEC to succeed.God bless Nigeria and happy independence anniversary in advance.
It is well!
Why wasting billions?
Is like we all know the direction this electtion is going.
My question is , why waste billions of naira & human resources in organising it?
It will have been better we do it on a low key just for democracy purpose while INEC select those they have in mind.
I am just thinking if govt. can redirect those monies approve for INEC into PHCN for sincere power generation and distribution.
Retreat for politicians
Good work but how are we sure that our politicians can dance to that JEGA's rules and regulations. How are we sure that we have trusted and dedicated security personnels to assist JEGA accomplish that big task?.PLEASE INCLUDE IN YOUR TIMETABLE PERIOD FOR RETREAT MAINLY FOR OUR POLITICIANS.
My take is that we should not
My take is that we should not be a slave to time. What is worth doing is worth doing very well. Two weeks for registration 70 million voters? l doubt if it is going to be possible. However God knows l have an implicit confidence in Prof Jeda to succeed and he will succeed INSHA ALLAH.Time may be too short but with determination and total committment he can make.
FREE BUT NOT FAIR
Jega has shown us that he wants some people to participate and not all nigerians by given us a very short time for voters registration. He also wants to favour some persons by doing presidential ellection before governorship. What a calculated plot which every true nigerian must resist.
THE SAME OLD WINE IN A NEW BOTTLE
When one wants a coffee, he takes it regardless of the cup used in serving it. One is only interested in the taste of coffee and not the cup.
This is exactly what jega has done, I see nothing special in clamouring free and fair election with this very timetable. Let me start by saying that the time(14days) given to voters registration is so small, and therefore, cannot give us the true voters register. Secondly, we count from 1 to the end, and not jumping a figure and later come back to it. How can we do national assembly election, skip governorship, do presidential and then come back to do governorship. I smell fowl play in this timetable. I doubt if there will be any difference from what we used to have, i feel nigerians should rise up and face this challenge by coming out in mass to register so that their planned hijack of the voters registration will fail.Inec is targeting 70m voters and 2wks is not enough to generate that figure. Goodluck wants to start his rigging from there. And doing the presidential election before the governorship is another plot.
please, let your vote count.
NA ME TALK AM
FOR THOSE OF U WHO DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT MY COUNTRY NIGERIA, JUST WAIT AND SEE THE HANDYWORK OF GOD. NIGERIA WILL SURVIVE, I TELL U.
THINGS DON'T ALWAYS NEED TO SATISFY YOUR OWN SELFISH MOTIVES BEFORE U SEE A GOOD IN IT. U ARE JUST THE EVILS THAT NEED TO BE UPROOTED FROM THIS BLESSED NATION
GOOD JOB. LET'S WAIT AND SEE.
GOOD JOB. LET'S WAIT AND SEE. THIS INEC MEANS BUSINESS.BUT OUR POLITICIANS ARE NOT MATURED ENOUGH TO HANDLE THIS.THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO RUBISH IT.
Let the rumble begin!
Let the rumble begin!
INEC did not schedule the
INEC did not schedule the order of Elections , that was done by the Congress just recently . I dont know why those crooks should set up the Time-Table for themselves , but again this is Naija for you . INEC is not as INDEPENDENT as the Name suggest , like any Government organization in Nigeria , it is controlled and manipulated by a few .Jega might be a Radical and an Independent Mind , but there are strong Forces going against him . Lets just Pray and hope for Jega and Nigeria .
inec time table
pls MR jega what will happen to my state sokoto where still we dont know how is the authentic governor? the election appeal tribunal is about to deliver its final judgment when supreme court acting on the petition of your commission counsel yahaya mahmud arrest the judgment and still is pending before the sokoto court of appeal. its almost 4 years now and the judiciary cant make a final pronouncement on this issue. pls let us avoid wasting resources both human and material in an election that my be possibility annulled. why cant we ask for the NJC to intervene and see that a final stand on this matter is taken before the November dateline for the submission of the party candidate.
Why Presidential election before the gubernatorial?!
Please, let INEC clarify their reason why we would have the Presidential election before the gubernatorial election. I think the reasoning behind this is that whichever party that clinches the Presidency gains the 'bandwagon effect' of votes in the gubernatorial election for their various state candidates. That means this INEC is probably being teleguided by PDP.
The PDP reasons that the Presidency is theirs for the taking, no doubt. If my reasoning is correct, then Mr. Jega may not be what we think he is after all. Can someone get me out of this dilemma? Please...
INEC Releases Timetable for 2011
A wonderful and bold step by the Jega led INEC.
Let the manipulation
Let the manipulation start
Presidential before Governorship. Who still believes Jonathan and his paid Jega? What out for part 2 of the plot.
2011 ELECTION TIMETABLE
thanks to inec for the timetable. this make the mini-gods (governors) to now reason as human beings especially the likes of bukola sarakis of this world.
one man one vote pls.
Date is Fine; Kaschcarl, you are wrong
Kaschcarl, what is nonsense about the dates provided? Prof. Jega was selected to run the election for obvious reason: a no-nonsense guy, with reputation for radicallity. Maybe this is what is needed in Nigeria. My hope is that IBB loses in PDP primary; and if he chooses to run during the general election, I hope he loses big time!
IT'S TIME TO ROLL
I just hope and pray that they get it right this time. God help Nigeria. I equally think that this is the time the rigging of elections start, so INEC should be very careful and watchful before, during and after the elections. Thank you
Too much VEVERITY! HABA!! WETIN!!!
How in the whole world can we avoid messy elections when dates are spread out like these. What about gathering of information and analysis, this is where papers, numbers and quick ways to insert and removal of votes comes in. Please shorten these long dates and times. Our people cannot remember what they do yesterday let alone involving them on a long stretch exercises. What INEC should be doing now is educating our people on the radio, television, posters and mobile vans telling electorates that election is coming, the importance of elections, that voter's card in their posession is their power, weapon, dagger, and sword they can use against their friendly politicians-looters, and finally, ask the politicians where all the billions they got at both the state and the national assemblies were used. If nobody can account for it, just don't elect them no more. Enough is enough
I need Help!!
For some reason, and i cant believe this is coming from me.
I have some faith in Attahiru Jega's INEC , i dont understand whats wrong with me.
Y'all think something is wrong with me?
