Boko haram, please attack those hausa/fulani outposts called military barracks. Does Nigeria need a military barrack in every state, doing what? This is one major reason why this country will never have enough funds for development. Because hausa/fulani made military their primary occupation, that is why we feed tens of thousands of totally idle people breeding children like rabbits and expect to develop. Why didn't Sanusi call for downsizing of Nigeria's military since we are not at war or under any external threat to save for capital expenditure? Of course he will not. We just don't need this size of military. The jtf is merely begging bh to temper attacks with mercy.

That is what you get when you ask BOKO to fight BOKO. JTF should just claim victory and withdraw...Southerners amongst them should be redeployed to somewhere below the niger and let the islamic north take care of it's internal strife.

it only shows how fearful our security agents had became. did they think the terrorists will warn them before striking? even if they did, it will be too late to avert. our security agent doesn't have a strategy, this sounds like a child's play.
Maybe what JTF is trying to tell us is that the terrorists in the prison will one day be freed after all they had done, i don't know what they meant, maybe someone is trying to back down, what kind of policy does the Nigerian government have on terrorism, maybe every Tom,Dick and Harry can become a terrorist to get attention and demand for compensation at the end, only Zero tolerance can end it all, No dialogue!! or else these people will continue doing it over and over again, it's a shame when you start warning faceless killers, maybe JTF knowS what we don't we don't know.

The massive military action both justified and unjustified brutalities is not working. We want peace pls through dialogue, justice and fair treatment!

Lt. Col. Sagir Musa is a big fool. Your deatil is to kill or capture the bad guys, not empty warnings. If you harm their thugs in military gulags what do you expect would be their reaction, throw up their hands in surrender? Innocent Nigerians wil be caught in the cross-fire as usual. With the bokos enjoying the upper-hand thus far, Col. Sagir would be doing Nigerians great favour by not provoking them. Boko Boyz have hit bigger targets in Abuja than a military outpost in arid Maidugiri. The army should be worried about protecting their own since they cannot protect Nigeria. Like every other institution, it has failed in her primary duties.

Is this not the same Lt. Col. Sagir Musa who has been attacking and killing innocent MASSOB members merely demonstating on the streets in Igbo land? Why does leave he leave his violent brothers in the North unharmed or not arrested? Why just feeble warning?

Is there a different law for the Northerners and yet another harsher one for Igbo people in the East?

Things are indeed very bad for the Military to try to warn Boko Haram not to attack them.Ohh I remember those days,who are you to dare think of picking a pin not yours in the barracks not to talk of attacking.Which way Nigeria,if the soldiers are scared,what is the faith of the common man.

I think the caption should've read "Military BEGGED terrorists not to attack military barracks". This is the reason we are not winning this war against terrorist - our military leadership lacks the right counter-terrorism tactics to deal with bh. For instance, of what use is warning terrorists from attacking barracks? These are animals who are ready to die! My advice is, employ non-military drones to monitor these bad guys in those bh states; map their locations; send ground forces in to arrest or eliminate them. These unmanned crafts saves lives and can gather intelligence better. They are very cheap and can even be purchased on the web. If we don't have drone command sites setup by now, then our military leaders should pack up and seek another profession.
