Ken-Saro Wiwa Killer Judge Becomes Acting Chief Judge Of Nigeria

Ibrahim Auta-Chairman of Abacha's "Auta Kangaroo Tribunal"
Auta at the tribunal in 1995
By SaharaReporters, New York

Justice Ibrahim Auta, the judge who was handpicked by the Abacha regime to head the kangaroo tribunal that sentenced renowned environmentalists and minority rights activist Ken Saro-Wiwa to death by hanging, today became the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.

Auta takes over from retired justice Dan Abutu, the judge who oversaw the judicial mess that almost crippled Nigeria during the prolonged absence of late Nigerian leader Umaru Yar'Adua.

The Abacha regime set up the Auta Tribunal after it falsely accused Saro-Wiwa of orchestrating the death of four Ogoni elders.  After prolonged abuse, torture and intimidation of Mr. Wiwa's counsel by the Abacha regime, Justice Auta pronounced Saro-Wiwa and eight Ogoni activists guilty of a crime they never committed and sentenced them to death by hanging.

The Abacha regime swiftly ratified Auta’s verdict and thereafter murdered Saro-Wiwa and the eight activists before the period allowed for an appeal had elapsed.

Coincidentally, the current president of the Nigeria Bar Association, Joseph Bodunrin Daudu (SAN), acted as the government prosecutor to the Abacha regime against Mr. Wiwa.

Justice Auta’s appointment is to be ratified by the Senate.  He will then be sworn in by Jonathan Goodluck, who also hails from the Niger Delta region.

For some reason, Jonathan doesn't seem to take much historical notice of Ken Saro-Wiwa.  Last year, for instance, he ignored the Saro-Wiwa anniversary.

It is also of significance that the Nigerian Senate shot down a motion sponsored by Senator Lee Maeba which aimed to immortalize the late activists. Mr. Maeba’s motion was rejected and his attempt to call for a minute of silence to honor Mr. Saro-Wiwa was angrily shot down by the senate president, David Mark.

"What is holding the ethnic

"What is holding the ethnic groups together is the crude oil , it is not Love in a democracy. We need love and common interests to hold different ethnic groups in Nigeria together firmly". Point of correction, the oil is not holding the ethnic groups together at all. The ethnic groups are not benefiting from the oil.

Ken Saro-Wiwa was a good man

Ken Saro-Wiwa was a good man and deserved to live. He was fighting for what was right in the land and he ended up paying the ultimate sacrifice for it. SHELL SHOULD FEEL GUILTY

AM DISSAPOINTED IN GOODLUCK!.

It's appalling how President Goodluck Jonathan will approve the normination of Justice Ibrahim Auta as the President of the Federal High Court. Being from that land, Jonathan is in a better position to feel the pulse of the historically marginalised/aggrieved poeple of Ogoniland who lost 9 illustrous sons to a kangaroo judgement read out by Ibrahim Auta. History is replete with Judges who stood firm and damned the consequences in defence of human rights. They refused to be used by dictators. Jus. Auta falls short of this category of men of honour and deserves no place in the Judiciary let alone be the Head Judge of the FHC. Goodlk is insensitive here. Who is he trying to please?. Would he do same if 9 Northerners were sentenced to death by hanging on trumped up charges by a judge from the South?. Where then is the lesson/deterent to corrupt Judges?.

There is no basis for

There is no basis for democracy in Nigeria. The country is not one, not united and most of all, not in love. There are many nationalities yearning for independence, asking for a right to self-determination and wanting to determine their future by themselves. This is a reality. It makes Nigeria look like a pressure cooker. The entire Southern Protectorate indigenes want a fiscal Nigerian federation as it used to be when groundnut, cocoa and palm oil were the main source of revenue, that was when Nigeria was Nigeria. Pogrom destroyed one Nigeria, the war buried one Nigeria and Northern Military-lords gave birth to many Nigerians by creating and imposing states on the Southern Protectorate, willy-nilly. There are obvious numerous differences, divergent interests between various ethnic groups that need to be addressed before we plunge our heads, looking for a common Nigerian leadership by way of a democratic convenience. A Sovereign National Conference SNC is the only road to democracy in Nigeria. SNC shall prepare the ground suitable for a people's democracy. SNC shall give Nigeria a people's constitution, that makes sense and will be acceptable to all ethnic groups in Nigeria. SNC shall create a nation made in Africa by the Africans vis-à-vis imperium regnum of yesteryears. Our various ethnic groups will be proud to belong to it. There shall be a genuine citizenry and genuine leadership will emerge easily through a nonviolent, free and fair democratic exercise.
Convene a SNC as a means to an end, at best, it will remove the lid from the boiling pot, besides uniting the ethnic groups for a common interest, be it political or economic.
It is sad to remember that President Obasonjo (OBJ) did not understand why he was advised on convening a sovereign national conference SNC. He messed it up like he used to, in everything he does because of ignorance. President Jonathan's stand on SNC leaves me wondering why a former University don is another ignoramus at ASO Rock. Let me say it again, there has to be SNC b/4 democracy can take off in Nigeria and there has to be a unification process to bring all the different ethnic groups on a conference table to agree on how to be together as one country or as two, three or more countries with economic benefits, on a solid plate. Such SNC is needed for putting a hard crusting on the 1914 amalgamation. The past military governments, wittingly or unwittingly, destroyed the four Regions that had fused into a democratic platform just before 1966. If allowed to continue, the fusion could have produced a very hard, solid and suitable ground for democracy,- comparable to Indian democracy. Lord Lugard tried fusing two protectorates to make room for unity before he introduced democracy. Later, our neo-colonialists divided the two protectorates into thirty-six pieces. What an arrant nonsense. These States were imposed on disunited ethnic groups under force of arms and intimidation, quite characteristics of a Jihad. Really, there is no Unity, no common ground, no love, no true and genuine citizen of Nigeria in Nigeria and so there is absolutely no true and genuine leadership/ judiciary/ INEC / institutions. Every institution in Nigeria is fake for the same reasons of ethnic dichotomy. Everybody in Nigeria is a false Nigerian. There is no true Citizenry. You are either Igbo, or Yoruba or Hausa or Benin or Fulani or what have you....... You cannot be a Hausa and an Igbo at the same time. It is hard to understand how one Hausa + one Yoruba + one Ijaw + one Benin + one Fulani + one Ibibio + one Igbo will be equal to one Nigeria without an acceptable common ground to house them peacefully. Let's face this reality. What is happening on the ground today in Nigeria are direct consequences of taking horses to a pond and forcing them to drink the polluted water. What is holding the ethnic groups together is the crude oil , it is not Love in a democracy. We need love and common interests to hold different ethnic groups in Nigeria together firmly.
Without a unifying SNC, the whole exercise by INEC and the various 63 Politburos in Nigeria will be a ruse to deceive the International Community and the Nigeria "Citizens", who believe, and wrongly too, that Nigeria is immersed in a democracy and is being involved in a democratic exercise. But so far, the whole democratic exercise is a ruse. The huge amount of money given to INEC-chieftain and the cost in terms of human resources have come to nothing and the wasted fund means nothing to PDP government. 2011 presidential- and governorship election campaigns are already violent , already undemocratic, already not free, very unfair and very worrisome both in the North and in the south. People are seeing, daily, how PDP governments in these states are busy preparing the substratum to celebrate election victory. Every community had received and shared billions of Naira, bags of rice, bags of salt, motorcycles (Okada) in a direct exchange for votes. Traditional rulers and religious leaders had been bribed already with billions of Naira to share to their subjects/members. Limousine cars, jeeps, and small buses had already been distributed to influential persons to help the ruling party in a state, return to power . Look here, boys and girls, university students, jobless graduates, the 2011 election is already rigged and many dishonourable Judges had been positioned and hoisted at the core of Electoral Tribunals to complete the magic and rubberstamp the results. After that, they will tell you and the world,: "Nigerian democracy is a nascent democracy that needs five hundred years to mature," while your senators, MPs and Presidents- earn emoluments, ten times more than those of any developed democratic country, in Europe/America. And your misery continues to worsen. Reject the election results, because whoever wins this April election had rigged it. You are the youths of different nationalities, you are the majority in a true democracy where your votes determine the winner. But in Nigeria there is no true democracy, there is no people's democracy, what you have is a group democracy or party democracy akin to Egyptian- or Libyan- group dictatorship. In Nigerian group dictatorship which recently has become a family dictatorship your votes don't matter at all because the minority in politics use public finance to buy votes and to wines everything. You allowed this minority blindfold your eyes, close your mouths, tie your hands and feet together, to take away all keys to the public treasury. You sit down de look them. Sorry, you can't do much. It is your time now to say " no to cheating and looting" in politics. It is your time to open your eyes wide and reject injustice in the election results. It is violent, unfair and " untrue". You must pour out massively onto the streets and market squares, in every city and hamlet to cry aloud demanding a true Nigerian constitution with a true democracy immersed in a genuine sovereign national conference( SNC )that shall remould this ram-shackle old North- and South Protectorates that had lost its direction and importance. Your votes will matter very much after a SNC and believe me, the new constitution with a true fiscal federation will always offer a united, solid and firm ground for a peaceful, free and fair democratic elections. Before SNC every democratic exercise in Nigeria shall be a ruse to deceive the entire public. Do you understand ? All the Northerners, Buhari, IBB, Atiku, N.Ribadu, etc, love the Niger Delta Petrodollars and the oil only. Hausa -Fulanis have no love for the Ogonis, Igbos, Ijaws, Kalagbaris, Effiks or Ibibios. They are oppressors, they are neo-colonialists.
All youths in South-South, South-East and South-West must rise up now for their rights to a peaceful free and fair democratic elections through a Sovereign National Conference SNC. Reject the outcome of already rigged April elections.SNC or a referendum.
Umu Oke -Germany.

KEN'S GREATNESS LIVE'S ON!!

The battle had been won and the manifestation is coming.

Therefore, his heroism live's on and we should all relebrate his life!

Pastor Bakare, SNG and visit to President Jonathan

ON 5th March, 2011, Pastor Tunde Bakare, the CPC Vice-Presidential candidate was reported to have said that the Save Nigeria Group (SNG) initially set out to team up with President Jonathan for a better Nigeria. He was reported to have said “Three times we went to him to inquire about his plans for Nigeria. He replied that he had none yet.”

Since I read the reports, I have been worried about what partisan politics can do to people. I am worried because I had a lot of respect for Pastor Tunde Bakare and I considered him as my distant Pastor. Although, I do not belong to his church, I normally go to his church to buy his cassettes. I also used to listen to him regularly on TV. I was always impressed with his courage, teaching and passion for transformation of Nigeria. As a Christian, I am aware that men of God try as much as possible to refrain from telling lies because the Bible is very hard on liars. Proverbs 19: 9 says a false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish. Rev 21:8 says but as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolators, and all liars their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur which is the second death.

Now back to the SNG and visit to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. There is nowhere in the public documents of SNG that it was stated that the purpose was to team up with the PDP government of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for a better Nigeria. I was therefore shocked when I read the statements credited to Pastor Tunde Bakare. On the meeting with the President, I was part of one of the delegations. The main issue raised at the meeting with the President who was acting then was the need to be more decisive in the face of the country drifting apart as a result of Yar'Adua's absence and how it was being managed. We reminded him that as acting President, he had all the powers of the Presidency. In his reply, he responded to all the issues that were raised. In his response, he made a statement that I still remember very vividly that “any person who utilizes more than 40 percent of the powers available to him/her will constitute a problem to himself and a nuisance to society.” He noted that he was aware of his powers but that he was restraining himself because of stability and unity of the country. After the meeting, we reviewed the visit and we were satisfied and impressed with the response and decided to continue the struggle of the SNG for orderly political succession. The performance of GEJ in office is another issue altogether. I do not want to think that my Pastor Tunde Bakare will tell lies. Perhaps the three meetings he alluded to did not include the one that I was part of. God help Nigeria.

IT IS ONLY IN NIGERIA THAT

IT IS ONLY IN NIGERIA THAT EVIL IS PROMOTED.MAY GOD DELIVER US.

@Opunim

@Opunim you made no point.

Zik is revered more than Ojukwu to what end? If Zik had listened Awolowo and gone for Independence in 1957 and left the backward north to wallow in their ignorance we will not be in the mess we are in today. Mind you I am not a fan of Awolowo, but I know and speak the truth. Zik was all about One Nigeria so we had to wait for the North to get ready. Where did it get him? Bello and Balewa played him and Awolowo like a Banjo from 1960 to 1966 when the young revolutionaries in the army couldn't take it anymore.

Realists like Awolowo and Sardauna fought for the interest of their own people while Zik was gallivanting about for One Nigeria. See how far that has gotten us.

Ojukwu was right. Biafra Now! Keep your Big For Nothing Nigeria!

Why Saro Wiwa?

@ Biafra will rise again: Pls, take time to read ur history books. Or u may well go from wherever u may be plying ur trade to ur uncle at home, if he is sincere, to learn some facts about the Nigerian Civil War and the Biafran unsuccessful attempt to seccede from Nigeria. Ibos caused the failure of Biafra. Yes, they and other Easterneres were oppressed. Nigeria killed them and other easterners to the point that even some Ibibios, Ijaws, Ogonis, Efiks participated in the Biafran dream. But the average Ibo man value money. Some of them thought it was a business opportunity to 'import arms' and 'make profit'. The wise Zik saw what the young, Oxford eduacted and sports car loving army officer did not and could not see! To think such big project could have been realised with such 'i too sabi' mentality of a rich man's son is and was to belittle the dynamics of politics and the sensibilities of other people! Pls, bear the name of a Nigerian and live a fulfilled life or die as Saro Wiwa died, still relevant in Nigeria, 16 yrs after death! What a glory! As a postcript: Between the greet Zik AND Ojukwu who is more revered in Nigeria? Do u know that Saro Wiwa had a long and rewarding friendship with Awolowo? What Biafra could not do with the blood of millions of innocent women and children and a generation of young and well trained soldiers, Saro Wiwa's pen and blood paved a way for Saro Wiwa in the UN and among the civilized world!

@ Wahala

It seems u heard all the stories about Saro Wira writing career, his public service, the vexed issue of abandoned property and everything about Saro Wiwa's background from a beer parlor or some seedy drinking joints! Maybe, u were too young to grapse the details of the events sorrounding the 'abandoned property issue' or u choose to wallow in blind ethnic lenses and pathway! Pray, tomorrow some drunken fools would come up with the story that ur Palph Uwazuruike is a failed lawyer and bla bla! The trouble with Nigeria goes beyond leadership. I plead with u to take time to learn of the activities of ur kinsmen within and around Port Harcourt and other none-Ibos Cities before and during the civil war. There are many things good about the Ibo spirit: they are industrous, hardworking, enterprising and generally good natured. But they should carefully watch their attitude towards other memebers of the Nigeria nation. The air they exude makes them look very greedy and unmindful of the feelings of their host communities! Maybe, they interprete every human relationship with the mindset of a Judas Iscariot! What some of them did in Port Harcourt and other Eastern cities in the 60's did not warrant any jot of conern towards their dream of Biafra! Some of their people, those of them that were very conscientous, fought against the Ibo dream of a BIAFRA! Now that Saro Wiwa is dead, what happen to the Biafra dream? Pls, leave the revered soul of Saro wiwa to rest in peace!

WAKE-UP NDIGBOS AND CELEBRATE KEN!!

Some Ndigbos are mind poised to believe that Ken Saro Wiwa was their enemy and so they refuse to see anything good in him, therefore proud to take pride in his tribulations and eventual execution. Even in his alter innocent and gruesome execution that the whole world took note of. Notwithstanding, this segment of Ndigbos would still have convicted him to be executed anyway.
But the same Ndigbos turns around to worship Oduamegwu Ojukwu as the lord of Ndigbos. This is a rebel leader who could not face death head on for something he said he believed in – did he really believe in what he was doing or was something faked but born out of greed? The man betrayed from all biafran soldiers to the least Biafra's child during when his leadership was called for.
Ojukwu refuse to stand tall as a military man to face the same thing he forced on Bianfra’ soldiers, he ran away a coward soldier and coward he is today!
If Ojukwu was not a coward, why did he ran away and refused to face the same fate as the rest Biafran Soldiers!
Notwithstanding many Ibos still condemn Ken in his grave as responsible for not only the defeat of Biafra but also the death of Ogoni four. Even though all the pieces put together concerning the killing of this prominent Ogonis shows Shell and Nigeria government orchestrated the gruesome murders to net Ken and destabilize Ogoni and MOSOP, so to stop the campaign of MOSOP from spreading all through Niger Delta region.
Surely the Ibos hatred for Ken is deep. Such that in the world of many Ndigbos, there’s nothing good in Ken however, Ndigbos are coping after his footstep in the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra, and that I think is dishonesty.
Yet the hatefulness of Ken and the Ogonis flourished not to see the other way round. And honestly, all this speaks to why Ibos remain so stagnant, considering their sophistication, size and influence in how things are run in Nigeria. Yet among the majors, they complain being treated with levity because many Ibos are narrow minded, and for that reason and many other self inflicted reasons constraint to poor choices that hurt them more.
Man Ndigbos refuse to see beyond their personal self and gain, thereby playing into the hands of their equals, but turn around to blame it on people like Ken Saro Wiwa and possibly minorities like the Ogonis for their continuous debacle.
But the thing that baffle me in their self style aggrandizement. Is how on earth you worship a man who ran away after close to million killed on his watch, but then comeback after 10 to 12 years only to be worship for been a coward. That can only be comparable to a looter and convicted felon, like Bode of Yoruba land been welcomed from prison with a gallantry reception - that concluded with church processions to say more grease to elbows.

Its always easy for people to

Its always easy for people to sit down on appeal on any decision of a court and even allow the appeal and castigate the judge relying solely on their sentiment. Justice Auta presided over a trial where evidence was adduced and the acused was found guilty and was given the appropriate sentence. i wonder what the family of the traditional rulers that Saro Wiwa and his team murdered are saying, probably nobody is talking about them because they found themselves on the other side of the swing.im yet to hear anybody that come up with any evidence of foul play in the trial save for sentimental opinion of peole who hated the administration that brought them to book. if everybody should be allowed to escape justice on the basis of sentiment then it s really unfortunate.

BUHARI AND BAKARE BLOODY MEN DOOMED TO FAIL

The Guardian THURSDAY, 17 MARCH 2011

A GROUP, the Leaders of Thought in the North in Nigeria, has condemned the leader of the Northern Leaders Forum, Mallam Adamu Ciroma and the presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari over what it described as their attempts “to throw the North in the flame of ethnic or tribal politics or any action that will create tension and violence in the North.”

In a statement issued yesterday and signed by its Convener/President, Prof Ahmed Muhammed and Secretary General, Dr Adamu Abdullahi, the group said: “We the Leaders of Thought in the North of Nigeria have watched with keen interest the electioneering of all the party candidates vying for the exalted position of the President of our great and very dear country and the action and utterances of some members of the Northern Leaders Forum especially on the issue of zoning.

“While we have identified serious contenders from just mere participants in the electoral contest, we, however, wish to make our position known on the issues of zoning and to also examine the utterances of some of the candidates in their campaigns as they relate to the North.

“We are aware that the campaign team of General Muhammadu Buhari, especially his running mate, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has been trying to play the North against the South by saying that they would ensure that the North becomes the ‘Wild Wild North’ should the election be rigged in the zone. Since we expected the campaign team to disown the statement of Pastor Bakare and none was forthcoming, we have naturally assumed that he was merely echoing the thought of General Buhari who had also been calling for violence.

“We condemn any statement or attempt by any individual to throw the North in the flame of ethnic or tribal politics or any action that will create tension and violence in the North. General Buhari and his running mate are merely speaking for themselves. We have not forgotten that it was General Buhari and his military adventurers that truncated our great country’s march to democracy in December 31, 1983 in a coup d’etat that sacked the government of our illustrious son, His Excellency, Alhaji Shehu Usmanu Shagari.

“We cannot imagine the progress we would have made as a nation democratically had General Buhari and co not brutally brought governance to a standstill. We are still not sure why the North should support General Buhari or Pastor Bakare.

“We as the voice of the Northern elite and intelligentsia do not believe in zoning and have expressed our position to Mallam Adamu Ciroma and his group on every occasion. The North does not believe in zoning. Mallam Ciroma and his group are only working for themselves.

“We wish to commend both Malam Ibrahim Shekarau and Dr Ebele Goodluck Jonathan on their campaigns. Both individuals have demonstrated maturity and decorum. These Nigerians have earned our trust and confidence, that they are not after the disintegration of Nigeria. President Jonathan has convinced us that he can be trusted with power and will protect the collective interest of Nigeria, including those of the North and South.

“We wish to state affirmatively that General Buhari does not represent any progressive interest in the North. He belongs to the cabal represented by Ciroma and co that has brought backwardness to our people.

We have therefore directed the people of Arewa to support President Goodluck Jonathan with the firm belief that Insha Allah in 2015, he will support Mallam Shekarau’s bid to lead our great country.

They fought for One Nigeria

They fought for One Nigeria only to enslave themselves in Oyo, Ekiti, Osun, Ogun, and Kwara.

They got One Nigeria, and they are still crying for more of the same: One Nigeria.

Who is more loud and vociferous for One Nigeria than Olusegun Obasanjo and his Yoruba gang of illiterate thugs?

One Nigeria has been good for these people even if Nigeria exists with no single Nigerian therein.

One Nigeria yesterday.
One Nigeria today.
One Nigeria forever.

You deserve every once of One Nigeria you killed and murdered to preserve.

@GRACIOUS

@Gracious you are a BIG FOOL. Ken Saro Wiwa opened whose eyes? Where was Ken Saro Wiwa during the Biafran war? He was supporting Nigeria all the way! Administrator of Bonny. You must be a fool to come here and try to twist history. When Igbos were fighting against Nigerian oppression all you morons believed in one Nigeria. Now the scales have fallen from your eyes. Sorry. It fell from Saro Wiwas eyes way too late! After several unsuccessful attempts to hang him at Port Harcourt prison he cried out "Why are you people doing this to me? What kind of a nation is this?" If only he knew in 1967!

You people are finding out 45 years later what Ojukwu and the Igbos saw in 1966. Instead of being contrite you want to twist history. Maybe I am giving you too much credit, you are probably just a kid who doesn't know his or her history. Go study your history! EWU!

What do u pple want GEJ to

What do u pple want GEJ to do? This is democracy, no wonder u are all calling for Buhari.
The Ogoni people sold Saro Wiwa period. Has any person petitioned Auta to any authority? Do your work and let GEJ do his own.

NO TO BEGIN NIGERA'S HISTORY FROM PDP 1999, BUHARI IS OUR PROBLM

It is stupid to blame Nigeria's current problems on PDP and then reject GEJ on the polls. This is fraud.
Buhari's coup d'etat brought in most of today's Nigeria's problems. Buhari gave Abacha a clean bill of health by saying that Abacha waws never corrupt. Abacha's son is vying for Kano governor under Buhari's CPC. Buhari is said to be engaging in his campaigns for presidency with Abacha loot. Nigerians shine your eyes. GEJ can reform the PDP. PDP has jailed more corrupt politicians than Buhari's military cohorts in Nigeria. Buhari ignored constituted authorities of OBJ's Oputa Panel. By so doing, Buhari took all of us for animals. He may do the worst if we elect him President. Let us not show a bad example to the rest of the world by allowing Buhari's mainly illiterate crowd and others scheeming for political opportunities have their way and make Buhari the President of Nigeria in April. Heavens may fall if we do that.

The Truth...

He who sows the wind will reap the whirlwind. Saro-Wiwa was antagonistic towards the Ibos living in their midst and welcomed the marauding Hausas with open arms and open legs.

Not only did they cart away their oil resources to develop their homeland in the far North, they left the Niger Delta totally devastated and ruined because they have no stake in its well-being. The experience of Srao-Wiwa should teach a major lesson to fools like him. When you ride on the back of the tiger, you must expect to end up in his belly!

By the way, I see NOTHING wrong with Auta's elevation.

Stupid Ethnocentrism

My Friend, are you in the country in the days of Oputa panel? Did you care to wacth when Saro Wiwa case was handled? If you do and stil beleive that he was convicted of murdering 4 of his people, then I think you are blinded by ethnic hatred.

As shown by proofs in the Oputa panel, those Ogoni 11 were murdered by the same "person"- Shell Nigerian and Abacha regime.

Please don't support evil just because you feel you are not affected.

Saro-Wettin? (Goose & Gander)

A court has to review and overturn the verdict before Saro-Wiwa's death can be termed murder. He was a brutal administrator who lived till his death in an "abandoned property" he stole from its rightful owner. He was an opportunist who craved publicity. A failed writer and a brutal murderer who desreves no mention in Nigeria's history.

If the prosecutor is today the NBA president, what's wrong with Justice Auta furthering his career? He did not appoint himself and is subject to confirmation by the Senate anyway. If he sails thru, Jo-Boy can use his veto power or play along. Anycase, I believe what's good for Dauda is also good for Auta. The goose and gander scenerio.

BUHARI, GEJ AND SARO WIWA.

A famous American President once said the buck ends on his table. Leadership provides opportunities, with opportunities comes responsibility. Saro Wiwa was killed under Abacha's watch let's not erase or rewrite history. Abacha is fully to blame for that action and others he did, it was the state versus the Ogoni Nine. That was condemnable and regretable, but I do not get the nexus with Buhare and Saro Wiwa. Saro Wiwa was a great mind and a worthy son of Nigeria, his works are there for all to see, may his great vision that this country be free from man-made inflicted sufferings come to pass. Nations like New Zealand, India, Haiti and recently Japan stuggle with naturally caused disasters, we in Nigeria are struggling with leadership caused disasters. What a shame! Nigerians let us come to the dinning table and look at what is laid before us. Our nation is decaying, and we are losing every value we once had, the young and the old are resorting to all sorts of crime. Issues that never mattered before are now at the center stage,we must take a stand, Enough is Enough. If we had no leadership then we will blame ourselves, but in the last 12years a party has been in power with massive majority, in the state and both houses of the National assembly. In school it is called failure. The nation has not moved forward on any measurement index, rate of inflation, GDP, rate of exchange, roads, electricity, education, health, social well being of the citizens, security etc. On every term they have failed us. Let us be bold and truthful the PDP have failed Nigeria and Nigerians. Let us vote out PDP, they have foistered on us this rot, they have had 12 years to bring change, Brazil under Lula Da Silva transformed that country within a shorter time. I think we should save the swords and stop attacking ourselves (that is where and what they want us to do anyways), it is clear that PDP cannot take us there. Peter Drucker says everyone moves from a level of competence to a level of incompetence, unless something is done. This is the truth, this is what is happening in Nigeria, yes there is corruption of the highest proportions but also it is a case of incompetence, they don't have the capacity to lead this country, to whom much is given much is expected. With all due respect to GEJ, but my people say from clap they enter into dance, he is not clapping, nobody expects a miracle under this short time you have been made President, what we were expecting to see are you moves, if you can't do it at practise session a good coach won't field you for the game! If you cannot do a 10 months that will make people yearn for you, even with 10years you won't do it. You can't give what you don't have! finito! The time is here, from the whole lot seeking our mandate the team Buhari and Bakare are best fit to lead Nigeria and bring the change desired, and let us take the necessary step by voting to demand the change.

Osundu or whatever you call

Osundu or whatever you call yourself, you can afford to say all that because you have never been in a struggle, why are the Ibos still agitating for their own nation till date werent you treated well after the Biafran war, today you stand to fight as MASSoB because Ken Saro Wiwa opened your(IBOs) eyes to a struggle for ethnic recognition.
