Labour Party’s Governor Mimiko Defeats PDP, ACN Challengers At Election Tribunal

Governor Olusegun Mimiko
By SaharaReporters, New York

An election petition tribunal sitting in Akure , Ondo State a short while ago threw out petitions filed against the governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, in two rulings delivered back-to-back in the state capital.

The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate, and former president of the Nigeria Bar Association, Rotimi Akeredolu, had his petition defeated in the first ruling.

Justice Andovar Kaka'an ruled that the contention of the ACN that the election voters register had been "pumped up" was a pre-election matter, stating that the party and its candidate was aware of the issue before but did nothing about it. The tribunal therefore dismissed Mr. Akeredolu's petition for lack of proof.  Mr. Akeredolu was third in the gubernatorial election last year.

In the case of the PDP candidate, Olusola Oke, the tribunal stated that his evidence before the tribunal did not gell with his pleadings in which he asked to be declared the winner of the election, and his petition was thus dismissed instantly.

Re What

Are you a Nigerian at all. When did the Issue of power become the responsibility of a state government.Even a blind man can hear from other people the direction which the state is going .You sound so unintelligent by calling the ondo people disgruntled

The issue here is not about victory at election petition tribunal.Ondo people should start asking questions.
1)where is Mimiko taking Ondo people in the next 2 years?

2)What is he doing about Electric Power supply in the state?
Power has crippled business activities in Akure the state capital.

3)Most road projects abandoned.Why?

Governor Mimiko should get to work and stop dallying
with already disgruntled people of Ondo state. samford.

They simply had no case

These guys simply had no case. Thank God Justice Andova Kaka'an is not one of those that can be bought over by the powers that be. Mimiko should now settle down to do his work and forget about these distractions. The truth will always triumph.

Now It time to Settle down and Work

The State belongs to all of us. As far as I am concerned, the Labour Party should not see the victory at the tribunal as opportunity to deride all the other Political Parties but rather should hand out the olive three branch. There is work to be done and the Labourers are few.

When God the is at work there is nothing a godfather can do. The election was won and lost fair and square. My brother just carry on in the fear of the Lord and there is no shaking. The Jesus Iroko has destroyed the emperor of buddillion. I hope they will now leve Mimiko alone to do his assignment .
