Na wah.we know where your

Na wah.we know where your type is from.causing mistrust and hatred is your means of achieving your evil aim. I assure you the nigerian of today is wise even without a formal education and cannot be brian washed easily.

lets give GEJ a chance.

its like u entering into a room filled with farted air, still trying to cover ur nostrils, then other people walk in to find only u inside d room. How will u convince them that the room has been messed up by someone else before walking in. The same scenario is what Nigeria is facing, even u... Yes u..... If u are elected will u fare better? We all know that fuel susidy has its own dividends but who can we trust. Our previous leaders has failed us woefully, but that shouldn't stop us from believing in the present Govt. For every story there are 2 side and right now we are only hearing 1 side of the story.
GEJ made a very big mistake... His so called palliatives should have been his priority instead of the fuel subsidy.... Diesel(A.G.O) has been subsidised since 5yrs ago. Still we haven't seen its dividends.

Re: Fuel Subsidy removal

Does the nigerian government and its spokepersons understand the fuel subsidy removal policy? The answer is a resounding NO! except for someone like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweals. Let the government understand the policy then, they can explain it in a coherent manner to we THE PEOPLE.

@Olaniyan. I know this is not

@Olaniyan.

I know this is not your real name . Your name is Mr. foolish.

U claim "All the governors were present at the NEC meeting where they ALL agreed to the removal of the fuel subsidy. They did not oppose it.They all signed up to it."

Can you or Dumbo Jo provide the prof please ?

U claim "how treacherous!Awolowo as Commissioner & Deputy Chairman of Nigerian NEC conspired & advised Gowon to immediately create 12 states in order to polarize & make it difficult for the now South South to remain committed to the Biafra effort with their oil & natural gas."

Once again, you are a fool if not , you would know Biafra and Southh South don't mix. I know you are Dei trying to mix up things to confuse people

you want us to believe them

we no what subsidy means but we dont believe them

No Sentiments!

All of you who are using sentiments in your comments,BOTH against and pro Subsidy removal. U have missed it. It is not about sentiment. Am an Ibo by origin. Everybody is aware that there will be gains in removing subsidy. But the problem is that:

1. This govt does not have what it takes to manage the proceeds, because, there are a lot of corruption among them.

2. The proceeds have already been allocated to the same Governors, LG Chairmen and Fed. Govt, who have not done anything in the past with the their allocations; and only a paltry of 30% is left for developmental projects.

3. The govt so-called palliatives is only on transportation. what about NEPA and others? If i spend N40,000 monthly on fuel for generator and N70,000 for fueling my car. How much will i be left with to cater for children school fees, food etc.

THE GOVT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN ALL THESE INTO CONSIDERATION BEFORE REMOVING THE SUBSIDY. THAT IS HOW IT WAS DONE IN COUNTRIES THAT HAVE REMOVED IT.

MORON OF ASO ROCK

fuel subsidy removal

to me i really have to say it's rather unfortunate majority of our citizens don't really understand what the removal of fuel subsidy has done to their lives.i really just have to say that the Govt. really needs to come out and explain in concrete terms what it entails and the benefits the majority of our citizens will enjoy at the long run.

To clear the doubt of peeps

To clear the doubt of peeps saying the oil belongs to them, why are peeps protesting?...If we split, then the SW, SS, SE AND North (lake chad) each has oil!...GEJ has brought confusion to peeps that have been improverished through long rule of education neglect...If peeps can believe his no shoes propaganda, then they will believe the subsidy...Don't forget the price of cement has not gone down like he promised...A cabal, Aliko Dangote is in charge and GEJ has got no balls to tackle him...Thats why we must pay for subsidy eaten up by them and their allies...

senate restore fuel price or we kiss nigeria goodbye

its obvious from what is going on in the country, that Jonathan has lost the script and is sadly insisting of roughing it out, using all the media that he has bought over in this country to push forward his suicide policies. Now I see the bayelsa people and few others rallying behind him. These guys clearly miss the point which is that- the majority of nigerians simply cannot afford the price and the fallout of this new policy. No matter how many bridges, roads, etc, you build, it does not make any sense if people are hungry and starving and cannot transport themselves. But one thing I know for certain is, if this fuel price does not come back to 65 naira, Nigeria is dead. simple. The signs are too obvious. SENATE ACT NOW.

You people should answer

You people should answer these questions and I will be a pro- FG:

Why was Obasanjo able to pay off our national debt worth billions of dollars while retaining fuel subsidy?
Why was Obasanjo able to build up our foreign reserves into billions of dollars while subsidy was still on?
Why did Obasanjo still launch some projects, like satellite, while subsidy was on?
Why was subsidy money in the billions while others were in government but went into trillions just few months into Jonathan`s government?
Why were the implicated subsidy beneficiaries(oil cabals) not punished by Jonathan?

collect my share of the money for the lagos carnival

my friend told me how he attended the rally in lagos that turned out to be a carnival with plenty of music, dance and food though he could not recall what they said in their speeches. all the same he abused the govt so the fun could go on. he has decided not to cook at home for the duration of the show. he even swore it was rumored there that the money for the show came from an ex.anyway i told him to write my name on the attendance book should the big man decide to share money instead of buying food tomorrow since the markets are closed. pls make una collect my share of the money for me.

SOME WESTERN GOVERNORS ARE SABOTEURS

It has always been said time and time again that the Yorubas cannot be trusted. All the governors were present at the NEC meeting where they ALL agreed to the removal of the fuel subsidy. They did not oppose it.They all signed up to it.But when the governors of some states in western Nigeria went home, they provided huge sums of money to fund the protests in their states - providing money for t-shirts,food etc for protesters in order to sabotage their colleagues & the President.Haba, Yoruba, how treacherous!Awolowo as Commissioner & Deputy Chairman of Nigerian NEC conspired & advised Gowon to immediately create 12 states in order to polarize & make it difficult for the now South South to remain committed to the Biafra effort with their oil & natural gas.The same Awo advised on how to make it difficult for Biafra to get food & weapons. And you say Igbo people should trust the Yorubas.Try squeezing water out of stone.

Let us be part of a better Nigeria

I expect the likes of NLC,Lawyers in protest,OUR SNR Citizens to be sincere with the ordinary Nigerians on the street who really do not understand what the whole thing is all about. We all know removing the subsidy will mean a better future for us all if well managed,so i expect the so called NLC,Lawyers to ask the government how they intend to manage the funds realised, how open they will be on the figures realised and how it will impact the lives of the common man on the street fast.
Let us all educate each other on this issue clearly and not sell the wrong notion to the common man on the street. For any meaningful growth or success of a nation, there must be hardship for a period of time.

My fellow Nigerians let us endure the pain for a better future for our kids, this is the time to put things in place and be part of the change with GEJ.The oil subsidy removal will be done some day and the better its done now than when we are completely dead as a nation.

Jonathan is a stubborn fool

The BLACK GOAT reminds me of Jonathan.

Why pay us this way?

Once upon a time, one Mr no-shoes suddenly found himself in the villa as a result of the vacancy created by the demise of the official occupant and became angry wen he discovered all children now wears shoes and mapped up strategies that will not only ensure they go bare-footed but also naked.

GEJ..,REVERSE COURSE

Read WOLE SOYINKAS interview published by todays VANGUARD Newspaper.,he hit the nail right on the head regarding the REAL CAUSE of the BOKO HARAM MENACE AND TERROR.Regarding the removal of FUEL SUBSIDY,its NOT too late for GEJ to RETRACE his steps...,many a great leader of which GEJ is none have been known to make policy mistakes and then humbly admit them and reverse course, why follow the path of self destruction. Why not fight the HYDRA-HEADED MENACE CALLED CORRUPTION,Wasteful and profligate Govt spending and then the MONSTERS AND REPROBATES CALLED BOKO HARAM and their SPONSORS who think its their GOD-GIVEN RIGHT to RULE NIGERIA AND THAT THEIR RELIGION IS SUPERIOR to everyone elses and are ready to BLOW UP WOMEN AND CHILDREN ON THEIR WAY TO HELL WITH THEIR "12 VIRGINS".

The best and the worst!

The good news: when a man can't give his best then you see the worst side of him. I'm not in support of the remover of the oil subsidy but what is happening is a way of fighting BH. Behold, can two live together except they agree. Nigerians do not agree, not a curse, we will never agree. The doom day as been postpone for too long. This is the time to determine our future. Other leaders had come like a mouse, bit us and dressed the wound. But we do know Jonathan has come to step on the wound and asked us " what are we going to do about it" this country is blessed but the selected few has been enjoying the fruits. It's time to say no. Who wants to die? No one wants to die but everyone is dying. God help us.

Good Talk. Tell these fools,

Good Talk. Tell these fools, they are more corrupt than the govenrment they are condenming. I had the experience of working with many of the same NLC people during the Abacha regime as pro-democrcy activists. They should not be trusted, they are all after their own pockets. If they have any common sense and credibility they should form a national committee with the other fools in the NBA and ensure that the proceeds from the oil subsidy removal are well managed and government is accountable. But all they want is to make trouble, negotiate for billions from govenrment to end the strike and tell us some story about why they now support subsidy removal. What bunch of unprogreessive people. 100% support for GEJ, Sanusi, Deziani and Ngozi and others for their courage
