I would not like to be of offense in any way sir but then you talked about a number of prophets that came before my Lord Jesus Christ did and that none of them ever talked about GOD ALMIGHTY about having a SON, however the scriptures that were written all point to the Son of GOD. Take a look at Psalms 22:1, which says, "My God my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?" look at Matthew 26:47-54, please read it, David also talked about the crucifixtion of Jesus Christ Psalms 22:16, if you look at the Book of Hebrews chapter five verses seven too you see a similar word, look at Psalms some of them talk about Jesus 57:4, 35:16 to 18. But blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered as in Psalm 32, Dan 4:13. Finally for now look at Isaiah 53.

When you educated people without religion they become best people . If you educate people with the tone of religion, you create beast out of them.
All religions talks about GOD. God is the good deeds of man in Flesh and Bad deeds of man in is Evil.
So far us religions of the world have different levels of reasoning,It will be appropriate to tolerate one another to prove the existence of the faith we practice.
This should be a lesson to us all. Again, if we claim we are religious, we should practice it teachings(Love, kind etc) and not the contrarily.

I want to say here that the foundation upon which every religion is built is love, which is suppose to direct an guide our course of action.
Religion as it is varies and i say categorically it does not mean salvation.
A sincere apology to the muslim brothers but nontheless, a religion that is not accommodating is devoid of love and forgiveness.
The Prophet Mohammed(SAW) fought Jihad war at that time because there was a life threatening situation and as such there is justification for that war. He never fought the unbelievers and neither did he went to war with people of other religions.
I remember vividly some three years back right by a church, the muslim brothers having their preaching session and behold virtually all that was said were against the tenets of the other religion at a point it became a blasphemy. The session went peacefully and nobody challenged them for not using a mosque.The christian brothers continued with their night vigil believing that we serve one God in a different manner.
Extemism sets in when you think your religion is paramount to that of others and as such everything must be done to protect it. In all sincerity, what the lady did i will not say is right but at the same time, a muslim scholar/student should have engaged her in a scholarly discussion sharing what both religion have to offer for the benefit an upliftment of mankind.
Nobody can in this life fight for God, he never sent us to this world to defend him. And if any one is defending his/her religion, then we are looking at extremists in disguise.

Seun is someone i know well enough, she takes things to the extreme. however she sould not be crucified, she needs therapy.

this is not fairness, who soever reported this situation is biased, and most of those commenting are left with little choice but to say all they like based on their ignorance abt the event. It's quite unfortunate that such a thing lyk this happened to a christian. In as much as the bible says that we should go into the world and preach the gospel it is of utmost importance that we seek God's guidance and thoughts when we want to. It's only when we do this that we are able to take evry form of insult and persecution as it comes...

One thing i know for sure is this, if it were the christians, those who are truely christlike, they would never have reacted the way the muslims ddi and thats one of the things that makes them so very different...LOVE.

I will try to be just that!! First, I will say Seun is very wrong and should be reprimanded. Also, the protesters acted very foolishly by disrupting the peace through taking the laws into their own hands and they deserve reprimands too.

Nigeria is a secular state that allows freedom of religion but Seun's action show lack of judgement and is an act that can incite. She puts herself in grave danger (remember the self acclaimed prophet that walked into the lion's den at UI years ago)and should count herself lucky to be alive. Hers is a case of someone who has either been religiously brain-washed or she lacks the normal amount of brain neutron to make a sound judgement.

The protesting Muslim students shouldn't have taken it this far either, because it just minimized the support for their cause and put them on a worse level than Seun. University of Ibadan is a pedestal of education and everyone expects university students to be more objective and be powerful and sensible enough to control their emotions.

The actions of both parties (Seun on one hand & the protesters on the other) shows how deep religious fanatism and intolerance is in Nigeria. While Seun's action can be considered a misdemeanour and demands a reprimand, it doesn't rise to being rusticated or dismissed. However, any protesters found to have caused any physical harm to any other citizen should be prosecuted according to the law.

So therefore, there should be Freedom of speech, tolerance,and love of human being on the campus.

Of, course, those who became irritated and incensed by the lady-evangelist's action have a point to prove. And those who saw her action as worthy of approbation will also have some points to hold on to. But, I'd rather begin by praising the Vandame-like action of the school PRO 'jumping the fence' as patriotic. Even when she knows that Nigeria does not give a hoot about her falling down from there.

Anyway, can we discuss the lady-preacher's action in isolation of other realities? No, I don't think so. Let me put a question out: what would have happened to a Muslim student, if she/he had done the same thing during a Christian church service? Would it have led to widespread protests, obstructing the peace of the institution (Nigeria's shrine of the academia)?

I was wondering if possible let us all understand the logic and rational of our professed faiths, even if our gods have refused to understand us, as these are after all, not learned mortals, whom we could charge with variegated misfeasance.

YOur response to this issue indicates that u may not be the true son of your father. If i enter your house and start terrorising ur household u will do nothing but dispaly cowardize. What the lady did was wrong and we should condemn the act in its totality. Do u not allow ur emotion /affiliation override ur sense of reasoning.
While do not surport her expulsion from the school, she should be cautioned to prevent the reoccurence of such ignoble act. This could certainly lead to unwarranted loss of life is care is not taken.

we salute the courage of those that have spoken the truth with all sense of objectivity.I felt ashamed with the unguided outbursts of some educated illitrates like àyesha and people like her.for those that are students of history they should pls tell us if the God of the crusaders was not alive in the 12th century when they massacre the muslims in spain.The muslims read their history and that of their fathers and they dont want that bad history to repeat itself.secondly,there is a problem of comparing islam with xtianity here.While islam teaches us to be tolerant and forgiving pls never to the point of stupidity(like turning ur left cheek when the right is slapped.)take it or leave it jihad remains part of islam till eternity.
while i may not support the position of the MSSN on expulsion,the university should pls visit the report of the commitee on emamnuel college crisis of few years back and act on the recommendation of the committee as it was used against the muslims then.Finally pls lets all ask if we dont know and allow not our emotions to overide our sense of reasoning and let not our affiliation affect our sense of justice.I belived an injustice to one remains an injustice to all.

We all have the responsibilities of saying the thruth and judging matters without any element of bias. This is preached by both religions in question. If anybody call him/ herself an adherent and could not uphold such, then the person is not better than a "non believer" of either faith.

The prophet (SAW) says "Tell the thruth even if it is against you". The thruth to me here is that it was VERY wrong for the lady to have disguised and entered the mosque to preach her faith when Jumat service was in progress. If it was a Muslim that did that in the church, it is equally flagrant error.

We need be sensistive to the fact that actions like this (done by the lady) are easy basis to incite religious fight that can lead to loss of lives. People should not PREACH in the name of by-force by-force. THis is really an act of Oppression and Terorism.

And that justifies why the lady should be taught lesson enough to check and caution other people against such acts.
