N5000 Note: Don’t Disgrace Me, Jonathan Begs Mark, Tambuwal

Pres Jonathan is sounding like a complexed person. What is disgrace in accepting the overwhelming opinion of the same people who put you in power? It's like a son considering bowing to his father's wish a disgrace! What's going on here?

What will stop the free fall of naira is a good economy that creates jobs. If you print N5000 note now, trust me, you will print a N10000 note down the road because, nobody has a plan on how to grow the economy and creates jobs. All they think is the rent oil money which will be siphoned to abroad and spent on sweat shops in China, UK, USA, Canada, Germany etc. thus, creating jobs for those serious countries. We should look at Ghana, is my take.

Once you start increasing the value of any currency to larger notes, you automatically decrease the buying power and worth of that countries currency. Instead of Jonathan to admit that he made a mistake and back down , he wants to stand his ground at all cost. He is there to serve the needs of his people not his own selfish ego. He already looks weak and spineless, he should get some back bone and do whats right and represent the people who voted him into power.

Mr. jonathan should not think that he will perceived as weak.  Nigerians are only telling him to be a leader and not a ruler.  His Govt. should listen to popular opinion not arrogant decisions.

WHEN CURRENCY VALUE DEPRECIATES, HIGHER DENOMINATIONS BECOME NECESSARY, ASK ZIMBABWE!

IT HAS HAPPENNED AND NOW IT COST CBN MORE THAN 50 NAIRA TO PRINT A 50 NAIRA NOTE. NIGERIANS WILL HAVE TO ACCEPT THE REALITY OF A DEVALUED CURRENCY. THE BALANCE CBN WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE NOTES CAN ONLY WORSEN THE VALUE OF THE NAIRA. IF CBN PAYS 55 NAIRA FOR A 50 NAIRA NOTE THEN THE ACTUAL VALUE OF THE NOTE IS 45 NAIRA. IT JUST DOESNT MAKE SENSE. WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT 5000 NAIRA WAS INTRODUCED BACK IN JANUARY WITH THE HIKE IN FUEL PRICE. NIGERIANS WILL ONLY HELP THEMSELVE (NOT THE PRESIDENT) IF THEY ACCEPT THE NEW CURRENCY PROPOSAL.
