Amina, wife of late Kaduna Governor, Ibrahim Patrick Yakowa told the weeping mammoth crowd of villagers , sympathizers and family members and friends that besieged her husband’s family house at Fadan-Kagoma today that her husband worked for peace , unity and development of the state in his days as governor. She said she believed also he died for the same purpose.
Though the mother of four children, wept and sobbed profusely as she tried to mutter the few words to the tearful crowd, she continued to say in Hausa,
“God knows why this has happened to us at this time, so please let’s give thanks to our God Almighty”.
However, when the corpse of Governor Yakowa finally arrived Fadan-Kagoma for the funeral service at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church, Fadan-Kagoma this morning, many top politicians across the country broke down in tears.
Aminu Yakowa who had earlier been condoling the sympathizer and villagers now broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.

Others are Peoples Democratic Party National Chairman Bamanga Tukur and former Head State, Abdusalami Abubakar.

Meanwhile, a spokesman of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union , SOKAPU an umbrella body of association of the southern Kaduna people has assured Governor Mukhtar Yero of cooperation and support in the running affairs of the state.
Speaking to P.M.News at Fadan-Kagoma on the sidelines of the burial of the former governor, today, the National President of SOKAPU, Ephraim Goje said the association has accepted the death of Yakowa in good faith and is unwilling to allow his demise to create disharmony amongst members of the different religions and tribes in the state.
“Yakowa represented a symbol of unity while he served the state in the capacity of governor and to honour him, we from his southern Kaduna area are ready to sustain this virtue that has kept the state in peace and unity” Ephraim stated.
He however, urged the new governor to shun rumour mongers and gossips who will come to him under guise of friends or gaining favour to rubbish and destroy the good relationship he has established with area when he worked with the late Yakowa as deputy governor.
While recognizing that it is God that gives power to anyone , he cautioned the people spreading rumour across the state that the late Yakowa was killed by Boko Haram .
“We need to move forward and allow peace to reign, “ he stated.

Rest In Peace my Governor
You alone i gave my mandate to be my state governor and even in death my mandate remains yours.Only the one whom the Lord your God in whose bosom you rest will chose as your successor shall carry on with it in peace but No Enemy of ur soul will ever succeed or see good once operating or eating from this mandate. Rest in the bosom of the lord in perfect peace in jesus name.
Condolences to Amina
His death and that of azazi would have been unnecessary in a country that takes service delivery and root-cause analysis seriously. What was the outcome of the investigation into the Arik disaster? The dignitaries at the burial only shed crocodile tears. It's business as usual from tomorrow till the next tragedy happens. The shock factor of tragedies like this is gone. Nothing can anger this government enough to want to make a difference. Even if it had been the president's mum that died, nothing other than customary shedding of tears would have happened. Corruption maims, kills and incapacitates and no one can be shielded including those who nurtured it.
SYMPATHY
MAY GOVERNOR YAKOWA SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE

Rumurs Of Boko Haram Involvement
The people spreading rumur that Boko Haram might have killed Mr. Yakowa (May His Soul Rest In Peace) may not be further from the truth.
Was this Ibrahim Patrick
Was this Ibrahim Patrick Yakowa a Christian muslim? I thought Ibrahim was a muslim name for Abraham. I also see see good Mohammedans like Babangida Aliyu and Aminu Tambuwal in the picture. This is like saying Mohammed Christoper Ajibola. Wonders do happen in Arewa land.
What is Alhaji Abdusalami
What is Alhaji Abdusalami Abubakar doing in a Catholic church? You see, with good arrangement the devil can see God.
May he rest in Peace - but probe is just beginning
May his gentle soul rest in peace. Dont know much about him but even his look tells a tale of a gentle man.
However works starts now:
1)The Navy should explain why they lend the tax payers' planes/choppers for use for private occasions.
2) We need to know why those planes which have fat budget for maintenance are allowed to fall from the sky. Did they chop the money and bring fake and cheap spares if they maintain them at all?
3) Jonathan should tell the citizens why under his watch all these abuses of public properties are happening.
I was surprised as we pour our hearts out throughout the week, non of these politicians has asked these questions. Please my fellow Nigerians lets hold this against Jonathan until he explains all these to us to our satisfaction. If he didnt lets chase him out of Aso Rock. That man has become a bundle of embarrassment.
Adeu Yekowa
May his soul rest in peace
OOh dear, i really feel for
OOh dear, i really feel for Amina Yakowa and the children. My heart goes out to you and your children. May God never leave you and your children. May the soul of Governor Yakowa rest in perfect peace, amen. Now all your fair weather friends would all run away, but it is well with you
Condolence
take heart mdm, 1 by 1 we shall all pass away 2 our parmanent home, where there wld be not death, hunger, pain. Rest in peace sir.
Madam Yakowa, your husband
Madam Yakowa, your husband wasn't killed by boko haram, don't mind the rumour mongers and mischieve makers. He was only killed by islamic extremist pilots who were in charge of the chopper. The pilots just wanted their own share of 72 virgins, blame them not. You know killing themselves alongside high profile infidels was a sure guarantee there won't be any compromise in getting their minors in aljannah. Madam Yakowa, the greatest mistake your husband did was to abandon prophet mohammed teachings for the christianity faith. Just so you know, any christian from kaduna is regarded an infidel and a potential target of the prophet foot soldiers. Please madam an advise for you is to watch your back always. You see, he wasn't killed by boko haram, the pilots of the fallen chopper are only fighting same boko course. The paedophile prophet (piss be upon him) armies are everywhere Take heart madam Yakowa!
RIP the amiable governor
Rest in peace sir yakowa. its a time for us that are alive to reflect and make sure we do what is right in the sight of GOD.
A Bridge Builder has gone.
He was a Bridge Builder. Yet he left us shattered at a time his bridge building was gaining strength. A time he was needed to consolidate this unassuming idea. Yakowa, I am a nigerian that responded to d news of ur death in tears profusely. I still can't believe that a fine gentle Man like you has gone and gone forever. Rest in peace our dear leader and father-servant. We will for sure miss u. We love u but God love's u most. May God guide ur successor in his effort to sustain the peace move u hav introduced to Kaduna state. RIP.
Adieu!!!
Glory be to God for your life(Yakowa). Rest in Peace
LIFE IS VANITY
Life is vanity, let us be at peace with all men. Whosoever that have been quarrelling with Yakowa, I bet should be mourning today. All these things about tribe, Christian, Moslem, white, black etc in the real sense does not contribute to our success as individuals. Whether Christian, Moslem, Ijaw, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba is the President or Governor does not place food on the table of Nigerians on routine jobs or businesses.Check it out, Nigerians love each other so much that whenever they gather in the market, stadium, church or mosque it's all laughter, jokes, banters, haggling, unserious discussions etc. Let us continue to LOVE one another for Life is Vanity. Yakowa RIP.
I am filled with tears for Yakowa
I am fighting back reading through these wonderful remarks about Ibrahim Patrick Yakowa. May he continue to rest at the bossom of his maker...amen.
And I pray for the wife and children.
