Nigerian Catholic Church ‘Temporarily’ Withdraws Membership of CAN

It is a hurtful pity that such a great christian body as CAN is choosing leadersip by democratic process instead of a thus says the Lord. Is it because no one hears God again or we have finally entered another season of spiritual anachy. Pulling out from CAN or staying IN is not the problem but WHAT IS GOD ASKING us to do. That is the only christian leadership I know.

inciting words can not help our brothers in the north. leaders handling religious issues should be very diplomatic in their statement. it take lots of long suffering to achieve such level of comportment and humility amidst strong tribulation and religious dichotomy.
i would implore the management of CAN to be more modest both in their comment and attitude. they are representing Christians. Ostentatious display of both wealth and words may not send the positive signal to intending convertee.

The Catholic Church in Nigeria has taken the right step.  CAN has become as oppressive as government and it's no use descending into the sewer that the country has become with those at home down there.

I just imagine when some people just post useless message at serious issues. being a catholic or not is not the case BUT seeing reasons why this drastic decision was taken. the catholic church is thousands of years and not just a mushroom church that is will wake up over night a take a decision as sensitive as this. (NEVER!) i know they would have looked into in properly and adviced before the concluded. well! in every 12 there is a judas so we shouldnt be surprise at what is happening in CAN as a body cos it comprises of human beings with flesh and blood like you and me. so all we need to do now is to pray for unity and peace for the country at large and to pray that our christian leaders follow the right trend of christ.
