Amos Adamu (if found guilty) is a beneficiary of a system in which corruption is endemic. Why are FIFA officials above the law of the countries in which they operate? Why should FIFA officials in Nigeria wield so much power to the extent of extending their tenure without any recourse to the law of the land? FIFA needs to reorganize its house, for the love of the beautiful game…

I was not suprised to hear of amos adamu alledged bribery scandal,alot of question went unanswered after the coja games.
In Nigeria we are a corrupt lot,but must we export it abroad.

What did Amos Adamu do that any other Nigerian in his shoes would not have done? Ask for GBPs 500,000 for a vote? Now, how many of our people who queue to vote during elections turn up if not 'mobilized'? My disappointment is that he cheapened the vote; afterall, if the Oceania guy could asked for GBPs 1.5m, could'nt Adamu ask for more than the miserable 500k?

If this story is true, it is a big shame to the person of Adamu and a disgrace to Nigeria. Probably, the man was one of the many problems of Nigerian football. In that case thsnks be to God for exposing him

This is what this federal character nonsense does to our nationhood: how did this corruption-soaked Amos Adamu get appointed to FIFA Board? How much football did he ever play and where? How come the Segun Odegbami, Christian Chukwu, Best Ogedegbe, Ismaila Mabo of Mighty Jets, Amesiamaka, etc. did not get to represent Nigeria on that Board? In this case it is not only the Nigerian Adamu who is caught on tape asking for 800,000 US dollars, but also Reynald Temarii, a FIFA vice-president and president of the Oceania Football Confederation caught on tape asking for US $ 1.6 millions US dollars. Yet, it Adamu's name that is all over the place. It is more saliant to see corruption coming from Africa than from anywhere else. This is a terible biase!
