I'm shamsu from sokoto state indigiene of south sincerely speaking our governor aliyu assigned scholarship board 2 collect the student credential since last 2 years , about taking student 4 outside for going there doing thre bsc , but scholarship hve done this and trying there best effort 4 this getting admission and do everything for d student school send offer of admission , to the scholarship , the chairman and secretary assigned the student 4 doing I passpoert , since d time of 2 known there's no any imformation , governor announced that he approve 1.5billion since september 2012 but the money not yet and scholarship not see everything , sahara reporters please I swear the governor just propangand for this he has not paid anything just lied becouse was not good leader

I can't believe that this is actually happening. It's just a handful of students and the state can't afford to pay for them? What kind of world rules this country? I guess if I was a student here I would probably go for a job in finance, I would have the chance to set some order for a change.

Wammako is lying, he is not ready to pay the students. He has being doing such stories of release of found for several times but nothing has been done yet. He's just deceiving people. He only pays for students who gave him his GAY services when ever he travelled to their respective countries. This is very clear and its well known to everybody. And its very easy for one to get this payment if he's ready to join the governor's Gay services team on his arrival to their country of studies. I challenge everyone to contact the chairman of the scholarship board on 08051339180 or the secretary on 08037790259 or the director international students on 08094748220 and ask if any payment has been made from July 2009 to date. Not only forcing them to work to meet their ends, many of the students of sokoto state origin were in various prison in the world for various visa issues due to the failure of state government to pay their fees. Sheik Ahmed Aliyu Wamakko is not a true Muslim. Why does he send those young moslems to get western education? Doesn't he know that Nigeria is in turmoil today because of Boko (western education)? Can somebody tell the sheik that Boko Haram means "Western education is forbidden" in Northern Nigeria?

His whole scholarship scheme is a way of skimming away our oil money in the name of acquiring western education. What happened to the madrasas that Saudi Arabia built for them so that they will never again look into western education?

Well I don't blame you because it seems you don't even know what you are talking about. I am an indigene of sokoto state and have studied in the UK with Masters Degree of which right now I left some so called southerners who claimed they are well educated struggling to finish their programmes just because they are busy doing menial jobs instead of focusing on their studies. Although I agree with you on one aspect that we spend money anyhow abroad, that is because we believe that the significant of money is to get you want you want when you want it at any price. That is a hausa man for you. So I rest my case.

Why send mollas who are naturally allergic to education  to the western world to study? No wonder they turn to underwear bombers cos they are simply overwhelmed by the intellectual and social challenges they are exposed to. What unis do they attend? In my donkey years all over Europe, studying and working, i´ve not met till this very day a single hausa/foolani in any academic space. You only see them with their masqueraded wives in malls and high streets spending money as if there is no tomorrow. Sokoto governor should send the students to Saudi, Pakistan, or Somalia. They don't need western education. They need koran.After all, they have been taking billion dollars of Nigeria money to Saudi for years.Let Arabs inject koran in their heads, western education is a sin.

How about the money they take to Saudi every yeaar. The money these northern fools take to Saudi every year can sustain these students for five years. Instead of arabs to help them now, they give them guns to destroy themselves. I met a muslim from Kano state last year and asked him what Saudi had done to develop the northern states, he said Saudi built mosques in Kano. It was then that I concluded that northern muslims are fools. In this modern age, mosques are the only gifts arabs can give them.

If they are funding the students the government

Where did barren Sokoto state get N1.5 billion naira to sponsor its students who come last in classes abroad?
