By Premium Times

The deceased former strongman of Kwara politics was buried in his house in Ilorin, Wednesday evening, as thousands gathered to honour him.

Top government officials gathered at the Ilorin International Airport to receive the remains of the deceased.

The corpse of the late politician arrived the Airport at about 4: 28 p.m. on board Overland Airlines.

The body was inside a golden brown casket and was carried shoulder high by some youth immediately the plane touched down.

The body was received by the Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfattah Ahmed and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, who led a Federal Government delegation.

Bukola Saraki, who had arrived earlier on board Rivers State Government–owned plane marked N565 RS, was also at hand to receive the remains of his late father.

His sister and former senator, Gbemisola Saraki, and the wife of the late politician, Florence, were also at hand to receive the corpse.

There was no ceremony at the airport as the casket containing the remains of the late politician was immediately transferred to a waiting Government House ambulance.

The ambulance was later driven out to join the governor’s convoy at the Eid praying ground for a special prayer.

Also at the airport to receive the body were the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro; a former Senator, Jim Nwobodo; as well as Moshood Mustapha, the member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal constituency in the House of Representatives.

Others were the Minister of National Planning, Shamsudeen Usman; former Peoples Democratic Party Acting National Chairman, Kawu Barage; Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi; and the Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

These prominent Nigerians also participated at the Islamic prayer for the deceased.

The llorin Eid praying ground, the venue of the prayer, was filled to capacity. The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of llorin, Muhammed Bashiru.

The corpse left the llorin Eid praying ground in a motorcade for burial at his llofa road residence in GRA, llorin.

THAT'S WHY IT'S EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO DO GOOD..

HOW I WISH YOU HAD GIVEN THIS ADVISE TO SARAKI WHEN HE WAS ALIVE TO DO GOOD.AND ALWAYS WISH OTHERS GOOD, FOR HIM NOT TO BE GREEDY,SELFISH AND WICKED.WE ALL KNOW WE'LL DIE SOME DAY BUT HE'S GONE NOW. AND HE'LL SURELY ACCOUNT FOR ALL HE HAS DONE.I DO NOT KNOW WHERE YOU READ YOUR OWN QURAN THAT SAYS WE SHOULD PRAY FOR WICKED PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE NO LONGER LIVING.THE MAN KILLED A LOT OF PEOPLE.DESTROYED A LOT OF HOMES,SO WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.PLEASE LIVE GOD OUT OF THIS.GOD DOESN'T BACK CALLOUS SOULS LIKE SARAKI.MAY HE RIOT IN HELL.MY RELIGION,ISLAM SAYS WE SHOULD STONE THIEFS TO DEATH..THE MAN (SARAKI)IS NOT EVEN A MUSLIM.

WE HAVE TO BE GENERIOUS TO OUR BROTHREN & SISTERS

May the almighty Allah foregive him.

Adieu

May his soul rest in peace. All you people that are bad mouthing the dead hmmmm time is the best teller because you manage to know how to type abi?If you were given a chance 2day I wonder wat your decisions would be @ Gougou am sure given small space you would do worst he is dead n gone his decisions yes caused numerous ripples let him deal wit it good deeds n bad deeds still have beneficiaries

Never criticize what you

Never criticize what you don't understand, saraki was an enigma a kind hearted giver a man with an unparalleled rectitude take it or leave it his political style is unique.

@RE:Yoruba Kwara Colonized by Hausa Fulani country

Mr mo or what you call yourself, you have not addressed the truth raised by akpos1 and the implications thereof.

The prostrating code of conduct of the Yoruba race before the Hausa Fulani as evidenced recently in the action of Tinubu on a visit to Buhari is to say the least, very disgusting.

The Yoruba argue that it is their culture, but we all know its a lie. Courage is lacking. Where were the Yoruba Generals all the time one Hausa after the other was planning coup on Yoruba land? It was the largely Bendel boys & the South South officers from Bendel through to Rivers & Cross Rivers who smoked IBB out of Obalende through the cementary. Where were your Yoruba officers? Under their beds.

Long live the United States of the SS & SE

Saraki bye bye

Another looter of public funds goes to hell

Nigerian politicians who are

Nigerian politicians who are happy in inflicting sorrow and pain on the hapless populace should reflect on what judgement history will pass on them.

For, me i will always remember him as an opportunist who milked his people dry.In-fact this present crop of vipers we call leaders studied him extensively.

REMEMBER SIX FEET.

Re-Another one bites the dust

Gougou or whatever your name is, always wish to others what you wish for yourself. The irony of fate is death. And since no one knows when and where to die, and also the nature of one's death it is morally spiritually wise to always speak well of the dead. My religion, Islam, kicks against badmouthing the dead ones amongst us. I do not know of other religions. It suggests that Gougou lacks good morals and is somebody not likely to join issues with. The whole world know the antecedents of the late Dr Saraki and the people reserve the rights to pass various judgements on the man, Saraki. Why did it take this long, and at this time for Gougou to badmouth the dead. Gougou, you are callous and a man eater. You'd better seek for forgiveness for your heinous sins and arrogance.

NOT STUPID BUT WISE

KWARANS ARE NOT STUPID TIME WILL TELL

WHAT I REMEMBER ABOUT HIM!

I remember a day in 1979, when thugs and hoodlums in the late Oloye's entourage drove recklessly and ran my elder sister, Olajumoke, into a gutter in Ojoku, Kwara State; It was God that spared her life. I remeber the day in 1983, when Oloye came to Erin-Ile and got people to trample upon each other because he was throwing naira notes at them. I remember a day in 1997, when a taxi driver in Ilorin threw me out of his cab because I said negative things about Oloye. I remember him, and I remember Kwara, a state that laid protrate at Oloye's feet for almost four decades, without much to show for the decades of hero-worship and waste. I pray for God to show him mercy, and for him to find peace.

The End

There will always be this end. this is why it is good for a man to know God in his youth. The mark of knowing God is Truth, Righteousness and Justice, are they there? Did Saraki have them. Christ of God remains the only true way. He is the way, the truth, the life. I pray he died in peace with God.

Re: Good riddance to bad rubbish

To my brother Onome. This your prayers may God answer am quick quick. I am not from the SS but I assure by the time God answers your prayer, no one will be left in you so called SS.

May Allah forgive his sins.

May Allah forgive his sins. However, this is a warning to those politicians who went to the airport with private jets to receive the corpse. Very soon it will be their turn to taste the death. Therefore, fear God and discharge your responsibilities to your best.

akpos1, you are deranged. seek psychiatric help

Akpos1, you are deranged. Seek psychiatric help before you end up on the streets.

The SS can never join up with the SE because the igbos will consume the minorities. When in little Delta State, there is a permanent squabble between the numerous tribes.

Get a life and eat your crumbs quietly. You are becoming a nuisance just like zero.

Death is Inevictable

May the remain Soul of Departd one forever rest in the bossom of tha Lord! this is a Wake up call for those looters who are still in government to remember this big day, when you will not speak, dress, or discribe the type of shirt you want to wear but your decission will be made by other people. is a big day indeed.

RIP SARAKI

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihirrajiun......!KULLU NAFSIN ZA'IKATUL MAUT

Another one bites the dust

The illiterate "bleeders" praising the "Societe Generale Bank Rogue" and Political degenerate Saraki, and mentioning his name in the same sentence as the Sages like Zik and Awo will, God Willing, end up like him: Dead, and their absentee bodies buried in empty caskets to answer the curiosity of compromised journalists.

The commoners he defrauded with his rogue bank projects
The women he widowed to further his political stranglehold upon Kwara
The "good for nothing" children he is handing over our stolen Monies to
Those are his legacies...
May his soul, and his mutilated body, and his worldly belongings, be his defence against the Homosexual hunks waiting to ravage his decrepit body in the 7th pit of Hell

adieu

for a very long time, we thought heaven would fall with his demise.Bukola should also watch out.we owe him only 6 feet by 6 feet

Yet the Yorubas that you all

Yet the Yorubas that you all bash are the most farest out of all the tribes. If it were not for the Yorubas that you people bashed Jonathan wouldnt be the President today. What you people do not know is that the people in the heart of God that God loves dearly dont rush or hustle. God always direct there steps. If in doubt pray and ask God about it. He will surely reveal it to you if you are proper child. He also allows evil people to mingle among HIS own. WHY? They will become the swords of God who will persecute and bring HIS own back to HIM.

SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEHUUUUUU

POLITICALLY, NO DOUBT HE LEFT AN INDELIBLBE MARK TO PORTRAY 'HE WAS HERE' BE IT GOOD OR BAD, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TALK ABOUT POLITICS IN KWARA STATE WITHOUT A MENTION OF HIS NAME. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.

adieu baba

adieu. they live like they will never die. they die like they never lived

RE:Yoruba Kwara Colonized by Hausa Fulani country

Akpos, you are one babbling idiot. I can see the pain in your eyes, did somebody bruised your little ego? I think it's time you take your pain medication and let the country heal. I don't know what you're jabbing at...this sort of things happen all over the world. Imagine if the original land owners of Brazil want to kick out the black slaves and the white slave owners? Same goes for Canada, US, and Australia. The past is history and future starts now. BTW, It wasn't because of cowardice that the Yorubas didn't kick the hausas out of their lands, rather it was because some people believed in "life and let live." Rather than your macho bullshit disguised "in the true spirit of courage, self pride..." that got your asses kicked.

This world is indeed a stage!

I sincerely pray that the Lord will open the inner eyes of dangerous and heartless Nigerian Politicians in all our Law making Houses and in our religious centers. Amen.

Religious centers? Yes, indeed. Has our churches not already commercialized and turned to tithe and offering centers? The GOs are no longer counting their wealth in the number of exotic cars they have in their church premises and in the garages of their opulent mansions scattered all over Nigeria. One day, the end would come.

Good riddance to bad rubbish

...at least those wey dey steal our South South oil money don reduce small.

Oh good Lord, may all those stealing the SS oil and polluting the waters in the Niger Delta with begin to die one by one.

There are no Perewinkles in the rivers in Warri & Sapele again because oil don pollute all the water. Even all the fish don die finish... any one you manage see, if u kill and eat, then you eat at the risk of having teeth, throath, tongue and lung cancers.

..Oh good Lord, may the the break up and separation of this continent of Nigeria come to pass on time. Amen.

Yoruba Kwara Colonized by Hausa Fulani country

This is one of the reasons d poor Northern countries believe they can make some noise and get every country in Nigeria to listen to them. They believe wrong. The Fulani coerced the Yoruba people in Kwara to become their subjects and slaves. They installed their own Fulani Emir who has remained till date. The Yoruba original land owners, despite their numerical advantage would nt fight back for reason of pure cowardice. Comparatively, d Benin Kingdom, at about the same time in History, sought help and rulership coincidentally from the same Yoruba country of Oyo Empire. Oramiyan was sent to Benin. However, in the true spirit of courage, self pride & assertion, d Benin pple after many yrs told d Oba from Oyo to leave Benin and go back to Oyo or face death. This is what the Yoruba Kwara cud't do...No wonder they cud never plan a single coup for 37yrs even when the capital of the Continent was on Yoruba land.
Long live the United States of the SS & SE countries
