The headline says bh has agreed to a truce in Maiduguri. What is the scope of this 'truce'? Does it cover the whole country or is it limited to Maiduguri and possibly Bornu state? If this is not defined, a situation may be encountered where the terrorists cease fire in Maiduguri while continuing attacks in other parts of the country. With a jihadist nothing should be taken for granted. After having signed agreements with some neighbouring communities Muhammad was to have a "revelation" later in which "Allah and his apostle" unilaterally repudiated all those agreements and absolved the two from blame. The reason given was that the could be no agreement with the infidels. Jihadists still operate on this principle. I smell a rat in this 'arrangement 'with bh and I am not optimistic. I hope that history will prove me wrong. If there are negotiations or even truce, the govt should not be lured into a false sense of security but should go on and strengthen its position militarily.

What did Boko Haram achieve with the senseless killings and destructions??? Shame on them! I thought they would continue killing and destroying until their stupid idea of Nigeria emerges. They must pay for their sins either here or hereafter!!!
