I was wondering what could have made the bus to ram into a parked tanker...Many reasons, mostly due to our signless roads and bad driving culture.
A close look at the two pictures shows that the road is a sharp bend. Hence, there should be road signs at the approach of the bend, but there is none at all. I am also not sure if there was any danger triangle placed few meters from the parked tanker.
However, the bus driver is expected to have known this route and slow down at say 20 Miles per hour while negotiating the bend. The driver should also be aware of skidding at bends like this.
Unfortunately, most of the commercial drivers drive is though they are the author and finisher of life.

We have to change our driving culture. Passengers should watch their drivers and report them to FRSC if need be. Govt need to do more on enforcing traffic rules and putting more roads signs.

Bad road (no lines, caution signs nor flat & smooth surface).

Poor driving standard /training. Truck drivers drinks alcohol on duty with overload.

Poor vehicle maintenance. How many drivers knows their tire pressure rating or the expiration date? Plus fake spare parts. And some not road worthy scrapes called motor.

Until we declare total war on corruption, we cannot escape road or air accidents.

What does a road traffic accident got to do with ur Shallow minded comment on the Prophet (SAW)?
