@Cindy E. I feel for you. I feel I need to write to you for the Nigerian situation is extremely scary and it needs an emergent intervention and a long term care to heal the damage done so far. We can still remedy it but as you know you can blow a 50 storied building in 50 seconds, but it needs lots of years to rebuild. Why? You have to clear the rubble to rebuild anew!

Some of us born in the 50's and 60's had the best Nigeria had ever offered (free schooling and scholarship funds, safe and secure environment (we were warned never take a candy from strangers, Yoruba's called "GBOMON GBOMON"), first class education, reasonable though sparse health care, a dedicated and caring civil service and even the politicians were professionals who meant well for the people they represented and served). Except for the brief Civil war interruption, Nigeria progressed slowly but steadily.

I really feel for you, for your entire future and generation has been mortgaged by our generation and the ones before us. In a true legal mortgage system, everyone abides by the rules and pay their dues. In the present Nigerian situation we are are in a state of emergency and out Politicians do not even KNOW it! They have pillaged and ruined it with no hope that we can restore the credibility that a modern country needs to run safely, effectively and efficiently

NIGERIA is at present a WRECK.

I take exception from Sahara Reports that Uduak Akpan Israel is a Cross Riverian. Please there is a big difference between Akwa Ibom and Cross river State. I have observed with dismay that for a longtime now, everytime an Akwa Ibomite steal, impregnant or rape a teenager, they will choose Cross River State as their State of origin, but when it come to oil wells we are miles apart. The stealing of oil wells which was stolen with N500m given by Governor Akpabio to the Boundary Commision and Fiscal and Revenue Mobilisation Commission during their visit to Cross River and Akwa Ibom to ascertain the boundaries of the two states. So let Akwa Ibomites bear their burden and stop claiming Cross River State to commit harvoc. Uduak Akpan Israel is an Akwa ibomite not a Cross Riverian. Cross River dont bear Uduak or Akpan, these names are synanimous with Akwa Ibom, no Cross Riverian ever bear Udauk or Akpan.
