Wole Soyinka Condemns Criminal Politics In Ogun State

Jonathan's breath of fresh air is turning to dry air. So sad this young face and supposed hope in politics has joined in the voodoo politics of depriving fund to the economy. till now he has not released 2010 fund. I heard he is doing it to starve his opponents of fund. well ordinary nigerians he supposed to protect are suffering. this actually an impeachable offence. SAY NO to this type of politics!! he is no more getting my vote period.

THIS IS TO HELP ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS.
THE AUTHORITY OF WAEC AND OGUN STATE SHOULD PLEASE TRUTHFULLY ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS.
WHY DID STUDENTS OF OGUN STATE PUBLIC NOT GET THERE EXAMINATION RESULTS?
DID THE GOVERNMENT OF THE EMPEROR OF THE STATE PROMISE TO PAY THE EXAMINATION FEE OF ALL STUDENTS?
DID THE EMPEROR AND HIS LACKEYS/CABINET REDEEM THE PROMISE?
THE WORD ON THE GRAPEVINE IS THAT THE RESULT OF THE 'POOR STUDENTS' WAS NOT RELEASED FOR 2009/2010 BECAUSE THE EMPEROR AND HIS LACKEYS DID NOT MAKE THE PAYMENT FOR TWO YEARS AND WAEC DECIDED ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
IF THAT IS THE REASON WHICH UP TILL NOW NOBODY IN THE GOVERNMENT CAN DENY ,HOW CALLOUS CAN THE EMPEROR AND EVERY ONE ASSOCIATED WITH GOVERNANCE IN THE STATE BE TO DO THIS AND WASTE A YEAR AND POSSIBLE MORE IN THE LIFE OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF MY LOVELY STATE.
COME TO THINK ABOUT IT, IS THIS NOT THE STATE WHERE OBASANJO,BANKOLE, ARE FROM . WHAT ABOUT MY STATE THAT PRODUCE PEOPLE OF PRIDE IN THE EDUCATIONAL SECTOR AWOLOWO,SOYINKA, THE OYEWOLE TWINS AND MANY MORE.THE INDUSTRIALIST LIKE THE ODUTOLA,SUBOMI-BALOGUN,ABIOLA,KUTI,ADENUGA AND BRILIANT LEGAL MINDS LIKE THE SOFOLA,AJAYI AND MANY MORE.
CAN ANY OF THESE WEALTHY PEOPLE SAVE THE YOUNG CHIDREN FROM THE OVERBEARING POWER OF THESE EMPEROR THAT CAN AFFORD TO SCHOOL HIS CHILDREN IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND THEN DESTROY THE LIFE OF OTHERS.

That saw a gubernitorial election won by AC in the lap of people like Gbenga Daniel in the first place. The next thing we heard was that Gbenga Daniel's gubernitorial opponent was killed misteriously! And rigging master minded by Obasanjo that saw idiots like Dimeji Bankole as a Law Maker from Abeokuta (Ogun State). Why is it that most of the sell-outs are from Abeokuta for God's sake. I think Wole Soyinka must call his people to order!

OGD in Ogun State and other morons in Govt in the last 20 years makes so much $$$$ out of Nigeria, (forget the Naira that is badly damaged by IBB, and these thieves capitalises on IBB's loop holes. It's obscene and for what - destroying Nigeria. They never worry about unemployment or health of the poor Nigerians, they are multi millionaires - we need ordinary people, good leaders in government - people who know what struggling is like and haven't forgotten it.

Why is Baba Obasanjo allowing this to happen under his watch? I think he and other elders of the state need to call this guys to order. I understands politics is being played here but it must be played with respect and some dignity. How can minority suspend majority (I assumed that was what happened, because I am yet to read the whole story). I hope Chief Obasanjo is going to intervene in this matter, before it gets out of hand.

Elders? Are there still elders in our state? Where have they been since the misrule of Daniel began? The elders and traditional rulers have mortgaged their conscience. They do not have any ground to speak out as they have dined and wined with the devil.
It really is a shame what is happening in Ogun; how can one person be able to manipulate everyone else? And he hides under the cloak of religiousity claiming the illegality they carried out under the cloak of darkness was an act of God. He needs to be reminded that God does no evil and if you ascribe what God has no hand in to Him, you'd definitely bear the consequences.

I'm not suprise with recent happenings in Ogun State.I expected this to happen long time ago. Remember, we did not vote for them.Our mandate was stolen.The elders in Ogun state should call the monster called Dani Olora to order. i have not seen that state in Nigeria that have personalities like ogun state. They have past president, firt class Obas, first class religious leaders, first class scholars and yet they all sit down and watch things going down in their presence. I salute the professors courage for his voice in the ogun state. The main problem is obasanjo who deceived yorubas by smogling in daniel. Who knew daniel from adam? The situation in Ogun state is not surprising to me as an individual. I have expected this to happen long ago and am so delighted that this is happening why the one they call 'ebora owu'(Obasanjo) is still with us. He has planted seeds of discord accross the Nation while he ho;d sway as the President and he sure must reap it abundantly before he is called on to the Lord. Anambra and Oyo state where i come from are still enmesh in the troubles Obasanjo created for them. I FEEL GOOD!!!

Well, i am as concerned and baffled as an indegene of Ogun State over the state of affairs in recent times. A supposedly matured state with well enlightened citizens is now a subject of ignoble petty politics.

What happened to the state Assembly is a sad indication that democracy is yet to take root: when what it took for s apeaker to be edged out of office was for the vote of minority to count above that of the majority. But Nigerian citizens must rise up against hallenge that ridiculous decision so that no wrong precedent would have been laid. The governor must be careful no to be exposed beyond what is already a public knowledge of executive high handedness.
