Three policemen engaged in a brawl at Ajegunle, along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, endangering the lives of hundreds of road users with their AK 47 rifles held carelessly as they exchanged blows.

Bribery,Corruption & looting galore
This is a reflection of moral decadence of the nigerian ruling thieves, a legacy that was renewed and handed down by obj's misrule of Nigeria dated back to Febuary 1976.Under this ape's presidency members of the the legislative and executive arms of our government loot our treasury with impunity. These fat rats fixed jumbo salaries for themselves running to millions of naira monthly per person. Forget the 5 million furniture allowances ??? and other numerous lootings. What abour kick backers and 20,30 and 50 percenters.
Who is morally upright to stop these checkpoint goldmines for the Nigerian Police? no-one!!! Not even Jonathan or David Mark and their brigands. What a nation ruled by shameless looters and bribe takers.
Posterity will surely put them, their children and grand children to shame....for giving us such a morally bankrupt and impoverished Nigeria where corruption rules; while they enjoy their opulence at the masses' expense.
OFFICIAL LEGAL VERSION
The 'Official version' of the events of the pictures is as comment of @Zaria.
2. They are representing their DPO and Area Commander well so nothing will happen.
3.Besides we all need events like this to help our sanity in this beautiful country.
Area commander entitlement
Guys you cant blame them, they are figthing for Area Commander entitlement, because, by going to street to solicit for funds, was not an ordinary task, the area commander must benefit, i guess the reasons behind the takwaandoo was trespassing by one of the officer, from one side to the other side where motorist give good kick back, kolanut, gangstar
Home Video
This cant be true, i guess it was our regular home Video, otherwise corruption have eaing the police deeply to the extent of fighting SUMO along the road, they would have waited untill getting to thier dirty barrack to wash there dirty linen.
Well i dont blame them, na purvarty
Nigeria Police of Bribery, Oppression and Corruption
@ Zaria Connect, This is the most hilarious commentaries I have ever read in SR. I laughed so hard that my ribs hurt. You have earned a prize for satire of the highest order. Lets hope the IG takes the picture seriously and does not add to your proposed excuses with "the picture was doctored or photo-cropped".
THE COWS AT WAR.
They were simply entertaining the Public in a theatre of the absurd, the Nigerian Police style. Who wants to reprimand them? Who of their leaders did not have a history of this sub-cultural heritage in the Force?

Recently we learned of the "Mad Dogs", can we simply call these "Mad Goats" or dignify them as "Mad Cows"? The picture tells it all. This should mark a send off, of a kind since we all can see the face of at least one of the fraudulent stubborn Goats.
To entertain them a day further in the force would amount to the Police being a " Nest of Lunatics", i stand to be disproved. See the on-lookers wondering in amazement at the public disgrace of the uniform that entitles them to "PARTICULARS"
Lol...Amen! If the people who
Lol...Amen! If the people who make the law are throwing punches in their suits & agbadas (paid for by taxpayers), what do you expect of those who are assigned to enforce the laws?
I know what they were
I know what they were fighting for, a pack of L.A. Fuel(www.lafuel.com) to help them stay agile
c
you can try other nationality, have you eva wondered why out of all cntinents you are an AFRICAN,out of the countries in Africa you are priviledged to be a NIGERIAN and out of millions of couples you were born into your family its something to be grateful for,i dnt blame you for saying, when purpose is not known abuse is inevitable, think twicewe are the NIGERIANS whether we like it or not we must all contribute in one way or the other 2 ensure that dis GREAT NATION is taken to her land of promise cos we have been cursed with riches.
`Disgrace
This is total disgrace. The entire police force should be scraped. The police is suppose to have the most credible and intelligent people not just our politicians bringing every dick and harry from their villages to join the force at the end this is what you get. The fact is that I blame all the professionals in this great nation if they begin to get into politics and flush all those dull and idea-less politicians away, then things will get better.
Fair Enough
There is nothing wrong. The Senators do fight in the National Assembly. Why not policemen?
not true
someone should tell me that this is photo trick and that its not true
The IG's response will be...
Will be; "there is nothing in this picture gentlemen and ladies that shows these are men of the Nigeria Police Force" Even if they are, at the time the pic was taken they were simply in a training session and demonstration to the public that they have what it takes to engage in physical brawls. Gentlemen, a critical look at this picture shows nothing of the NPF rather they are men of the Man 'O' war movement- with toy guns in a street show to help decongest the traffic...
Nigeria Police......
Students in the UK demonstrated earlier this week to protest against the proposed increase in tuition fees; the thing to note is that a student who threw a fire-extinguisher at the police was identified in a crowd from photos and arrested today in Cambridgeshire. IG Ringim has seen the photo on this web-site and we are waiting to hear that the 'brawling' policemen have been arrested for trial. Definitely because of this show of shame these men will not be expected to continue in the police.
nigerian police
CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME HOW TO SEND THESE PICTURES TO THE PRESIDENT.HE MUST SEE THEM
tolerante level
tolerance is missing in their training schedule.good conduct for accidental discharge
shame of a nation
it only goes to show the kind of characters that make up the nigerian police a bunch of lawless people.i knew the police was bad but didnt know how much but a street brawl, thats the pits men!!
Jolomi, you can't be serious!
Jolomi or whatever you call yourself, do you know that the very offence that these lawless police officers were hired to prevent is what they perpetrating?
Why do ignorant Nigerians always come up with escuses for lawlessness? You need to get civilized.
If the officers were poorly paid, let them resign and find a better paying jobs. Stop condoning lawlessness.
THIS IS MADNESS
its so shameful that this could be happening in a country they call the giant of africa.
The ig or whatever boss of these idiots won`t see this but when they call on programs they ll ask you to report the bad eggs amongst them to the nearest police station.
well i cant blame them too far at least thats what their bosses on top do.
EXTORTIONIST LEADERSHIP
What you see happening with the nigerian police can be traced to the extortionist movement that past gangster leaders have used to bring nigerians to their most sorrowful state. It is an evolution and the police gradually metamophosed into a criminal and extortionist organisation with no return gear. Disbarning them at this point will create more anarchy. The only solution is to improve their condition of service, create a central data base of reported offence against any rank and file, so that it is easy to figure out the bad ones and discharg them from the organisation. Secondly, We need to create a Presidential task force on police illegal activities in each state with a free and accessible phone number to enable the public report misorderly behaviour by the police. Also the word "FORCE" MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE POLICE BECAUSE POLICE IS POLICE EVERY WHERE AND NOT "POLICE FORCE" EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE PERMITTED TO CARRY ARMS, BECAUSE THIS FORCE OF A THING HAS MADE THE POLICE WILD AS TO CREATE FEAR INTO THE CITIZENRY BY FREQUENTLY DISCHARGING BULLETS AT INNOCENT AND DEFENCELESS CIVILIANS, SO WITH THIS FEAR IN MIND, THE POLICE IS HAVING A FREE HAND AND FREE DAYS IN EXPLOITING AND EXTORTING MONEY FROM PEOPLE WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. SUCCESSIVE LEADERS KNOWS THESE TOO WELL BUT HAVE FAILED TO ACT BECAUSE HE WHO LIVES IN A GLASS HOUSE DOES NOT THROW STONE.
what a shame! definitely its
what a shame! definitely its disagreement about the sharing formula for the money they've extorted from innocent citizens
A MIRROR IMAGE OF OUR NATIONAL LIFE
I wonder at our expression of anger and surprise at these pictures. Are we sure it's not because this particular camera gave us a true reflection of what we are in our various offices? Are we sure that we should not begin to get this cameraman or woman who dared to portray us in this light and deal with him? I say this because apart from these expressions we are not going to do anything to insulate even our individual bedrooms from the collective madness that our country represents.
@Jolomi. That's B....S... I
@Jolomi.
That's B....S...
I can name over 1000 Jobs in Nigeria that have underpaid workers. The workers in this jobs dont carry gun to threaten people and collect money by force.
If you a police that feels you are underpaid, then get another job. That's the only right they have, they have no right to be murderers.
@ jolomi, So because they are
@ jolomi, So because they are poorly paid should be the reason for this show of shame with loaded gun.
Is on agbero that can behave like this. In fact the Police Commisioners in Ogun and Lagos should be Demoted if they fail to bring these three Criminals to book.
They should all be tried for Public disorder, attempted murder, attempt to inflict bodily harm and also for disregard for their office and oath of office
I weep for Naija
Guys,I have pondered over this foto scene here. To be frank, this scene depicts a fail state in its totality.I weep for naija.
Nigeria is a cursed country!!!
Whether we like to hear this or not, Nigeria is indeed a cursed country. This public fight by those who swore to keep peace in the land highlights the very conscience of the country, as well as reflect on our leaders.
Nigeria is a disgrace. The Nigeria Police Force is an abomination. The Nigeria leadership is not only a subject of laughter, it is a gross case of incompetence, selfishness, and everything bad with the black race. Being a Nigerian is a disgrace. Living in Nigeria is worst that living in filth or prison. Nigeria as a country is very disgraceful.
Bribe Palava!
I'm sure it's bribe-sharing formula that caused this wrestling bout. One of them is even sticking his fingers into the otherone's pocket to bring out the hidden loot. When don't they just shoot each other and be done with it quickly.
