Good Protest

It should go round the entire country. I have never seen such a directionless government since the history of Nigeria.

PROTEST IN AGEGE? CBN OFFICE IS BETTER!!!

Well, the protesters did good for protesting at all. But I feel this kind of protest will be better felt if it done in a place like in front of the CBN regional office on the Island.

messy nija

Everyday problem in nigria.

Everybody is saying no

Only the executive and PDP are saying yes... there is something behind this move.

Currency problem

Nigeria is about spend 40 billion naira in producing #5000 naira note. why not them use that 40 billion naira in another sector were the money will be use-full to Nigerian citizen than to waste that amount of money to print just 1 note called #5000 naira note. to me that is rubbish to Nigeria economy.

50% in support.

I think the coin will be good and it will last longer compare to the recent one but for the new note,it will lead to devaluation of our currency.

Haba Mallam!

How do you carry the 500 million naira in a Ghana must go? Now you have the answer.....5000 naira notes. Period! Curruption and election rigging made easy! Who says PDP is not working?

DEMONIC MOVE

COMPLETE DEMONIC PEOPLE IN THE MOVE, BUT HEAVENLY FATHER WILL DISGRACE YOUR INTENTION. THE MASSES HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH AND YOU PEOPLE WANT TO ADD MORE; WHY? IF WE HAVE NO MOUTH TO SPEAK FOR OURSELVES GOD IN HEAVEN WILL SPEAK FOR US VERY SOON. IF YOU DEMONIC LEADERS ARE ABOVE THE LAW OF 9JA, YOU’RE NOT ABOVE THE LAW OF GOD. BEWARE.

could we be wrong

wen majority voted jonatha majority was right. but when majority say NO to 5000 naira bill majority was wrong and few elected or selected are right. what an irony

5k and other issues

my pple a lot has actually taken place in naija, corruption continues unabated,my7 wish is that we wake up 1 morning see this fools pack their loads to hell.many policies of govt re bent on putting corruption in a black maria but not sending it to jail,or better put it corruption in disguise.

Neil Armstrong had said:

Neil Armstrong had said: "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind" ...

Today, I am saying "That's 5000 Naira step for Nigeria, one giant leap for Gargantuan CORRUPTION in Nigeria"!!!!! ...

Pls Mr president dont allow

Pls Mr president dont allow Sanusi deceive u. This is not right. No sane economist will ever support such rubbish! Dont believe them-let us use the money for some other things in 9ja-to build poles for street lights around the country-than this silly adventure that Sanusi want u to embark upon-40b to print 5,000 naiara sense-that was what they socalled economist told us when they wanted to devalue the naira!

sanusi not an ecenomist but a mere bank worker

sanusi should hav asked why USA stopped using higher denomination in their economy in the year 1934.... I don't blame a mere banker who is not an economist ; he is only looking 4 money he wants to go and spend 4 his forth coming governoship campagn in 2015 in kano state after his exit from cbn next year.Nigeria needs thinkers not sanusi nor G Jonathan.

Northern Agenda

The only reason the Mallam is pushing for the N5000 note is for the north.

The cashless policy will affect them negatively as they carry cash around esp their black market guys. To aid them not to incur costs and hold their cash, the need for a higher denomination was requested by the North.

Unfortunately, this Mallam does not care about the country apart from implementing things to favor the North. What a Shame!

@Okunola Olatunde

Because there are only 2 states in Nigeria,Lagos and the rest.lagos controls 70% of Nigeria's economic activities,so if not Lagos, where else. You are just a dullard.

CBN Governor again?

Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi galantly defended the cashless policy and the removal of fuel subsidy even when the Citizens of Nigeria kicked against it.

Today, those moves are a complete failure.

The same people are speaking with one voice again but no one is listening.

I just wish the CBN good luck.

5,000.00 naira note

Internationally/economically high denomination of currency denotes hipper inflation. In the case of nigeria this is not an exception.
Just before kobos were fizzled out I had the fear that THE BEGINNING OF THE DEATH OF THE NAIRA WAS JUST ABOUT 25 YEARS AHEAD.Or what other reasons has the nigeria central bank governor for intorducing five thousand naira notes in a country where there is no coin in circulation? The naira will exchange for one milliom naira to the dollar in few months, fingers crossed.Fighters in nigeria should be firm. This must not be allowed.

ACN Protesters:

ACN Protesters should go to places, why Protest in Lagos State only not other States?.
