I think that every Nigerian have the right to the sit of the President including pass leaders of this nation. It was on the same light that we had Olusegun Mathias Obasanjo coming in for the second time as President after being head of state 1976-1978. When He (Obasanjo) was head of state, there were many project he started that was abandoned at the coming in of Shehu Shagari, only to be completed when he came back as President in 1999.
IBB as a teenager, i saw many good things he did one of which is the system of the toll-gate tax system, MAMSER and not forgetting the Better Life For Rural Women by the then First Lade (May her soul rest with the Lord).
All in all, i shall say let the will of the Lord Almighty the Creator be done. But as far as i am concern, if IBB was the president, Bakasi would have never been handed to Cameroon, and the cases of kidnap would have not been. Recently, Obasanjo got indicted as one of the Beneficiaries of Bribe Money from Halliburton.His friend Stanley, the C.E.O. is getting seven yrs in jail for his role in this shameful and despicable conduct and Obasanjo is sitting out there in Nigeria, going about freely like he has no case to answer!
How do we rebuild our decaying infracstructures like our Bridges, roads, universities,and other landmark structures that have been left to decay due to corruption.
How do we diversify our economy so that when the craze of oil boom is over, we can fall back on something else.
The big question is, how do we make sure that we elect credible leaders and not the bunch of corrupt lot that we have now fighting among themselves like a pack of wolves fighting over Rotten carcas.The questions are many.Instead of pumping Billions in celeberating a worthless Independence, we could use that money to better the lot of so many Hungry and starving Nigerians.Maybe we need to invite the british now to come back to Nigeria and continue with their Colonial rule.The last time , nobody invited them and they came with no visa.So the British should not give us this crap about Nigerians who overstayed their welcome in Britain cos they were in Nigeria for Centuries, freely roaming around without anyone harassing them!Nigerians and their leaders have so many crucial questions to answerto survive as a Nation.

Depending on who Babangida was contesting against, he could get my vote. If IBB was contesting against Buhari and Atiku for presidency, it is likely I will vote for IBB.
He does come with a lot of baggage, which is why I have always advised him to forget about contesting for political office. He has enjoyed many year's of dictatorship and I can promise him that whatever he thinks he can achieve as a democrtically elected President of Nigeria he could have done many times over as a dictator. I know IBB is good at horse trading which suits our political system but he should please retire. The Dele Giwa issue lives a very sour note in many people's throats.
So IBB please live the arena. Let history judge your past performances, there will be pluses and minuses that is life.

I think SaharaReporters should pls do a story about the personality of IBB so that generations that were born during & after his years of locust government can be well educated about who IBB is. Establishment of Directorate for Food, Roads and Rural Infrastructure (DFRRI)

Offering of licences to private radio and television stations (little wonder why Raymond Dokpesi of AIT is the Director General of IBB campaign group)

Establishment of people's bank

Promulgation of the National Housing Policy for Nigeria.

Establishment of the National Housing Fund.

Establishment of Primary Mortgage Institutions like Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria

Completion of Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos (Lagos State).

...and several others. In view of the above, I am voting IBB to hopefully achieve more.

Keeping side by side with Obasanjo who has spent a total of 11 years as Nigerian head of state and president, IBB has more achievements to his credit...
